New Kingdom, Amarna Period, Dynasty 18, ca. 1353–1323 B.C.
Location Information: From Egypt; Said to be from Middle Egypt, Amarna (Akhetaten)
Description:
The ring bezel is decorated with the royal device of two cartouches topped by ostrich plumes. The cartouches frame dancing figures of Bes, a minor god who frightened away demons and killed snakes and other harmful animals. Bes was closely associated with women in labor and with small children, and use of his image on this ring suggests that it belonged to a queen.
I saw many fans saying that Noa and Mae have a lot of chemistry in the movie, since the two of them couldn't stop looking at each other and Noa didn't want to let other's take her away. (you can see it in the scene where they arrive at the ship where Noa doesn't want them to take her away from him.) and since i saw the trailer, i never thought i would pair an ape and a human, but here I am. Throughout the movie you can see that Noa is always looking at Mae. Obviously at first he has zero trust in her and just wants her to go away, but then he starts to gain curiosity in her. In the negotiation scene you can feel the tension between the two of them. While Mae tries to apologize to him and Noa doesn't know whether to believe her or not since he considered her an ally. I know there are people who will tell me that Noa is in love with Soona but, in the scene where Mae asks Noa if he likes Soona he simply says that they were born close together but doesn't say anything else, so Mae just nods and turns around. And I think it is important to mention that Noa gives to Mae her mother's blanket and Raka's medallion, and he himself says that they are important for him. Noa doesn't give to Soona anything that is important to him, even that she is his childhood friend and Mae is just a human (It's a little boring that they make the classic childhood friends into lovers when we had too many scenes of Mae and Noa together.)I also have to mention the moment when Proximus Caesar is yelling at Noa to decide between Mae and Soona (Soona had a knife under her neck) and he can't make a decision. so Mae shoots the ape that had the knife. At the end of the movie we see how Mae walks away sad while Noa watches her sadly. (Although Mae had her weapon hidden, I feel that she did not really want to kill him and only had it as a precaution, since she knews that Noa was going to be angry for betraying him.) The truth is that these two have the potential to be more than enemies or allies, and I think we are ready to see a romantic relationship between an ape and a human.
Apparently, Noa Soona and Anaya were born within a sunset (same day) and they have a very strong bond. Each has something that complements the other. Soona and Anaya are the ones who can always pull Noa out of his emotional turmoil. Im very emotional about them DONT TOUCH ME
Owen being shown side by side with Andy Serkis the OG lead star!!
This photo has so much depth to me! Like on the back of what Andy Serkis started and revolutionized for the Planet of the Apes movies is the NEW FACE of the Planet of the Apes Franchise, Owen Teague. 🥺
From watching his interviews he talks about being so immersed with the entire process of becoming an ape and even going on set everyday to train, practice, or be needed for motion capture! The dedication this guy has for his role as Noa deserves so much recognition. Him carrying the new franchise just sits right with me.
If I had a nickel for every movie this year about unlikely allies joining forces to stop an evil ape dictator, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice
Most unrealistic part of the planet of the apes franchise is that the chimpanzees are the ones advocating for peace and the bonobos are the ones causing the most problems
Glazed composition open-work broad collar: the top row represents yellow and blue mandrake fruits; the middle row is composed of green date palm leaves and the lowest of yellow, white and mauve lotus petals. Between the pendants are strung tiny disc beads in red, blue, mauve or yellow. Even the two triangular terminals into which the stringing threads pass to emerge as a single united cord at each side of the collar take the shape of a lotus inlaid in red, yellow, blue and green to indicate the individual petals. All the elements were made in open moulds, as their backs are flat and not detailed.
It is highly likely that jewellery elements depicting fruit, flowers and parts of plants had an amuletic significance, since all growing plants were inherently symbolic of new life and some flowers actually open each morning, reconfirming the idea of resurrection. This collar was found complete but the original order of stringing could not be determined.
