three Australian Golden Orb females, pictured here from youngest (top) to oldest (bottom), offering a nice look at the change in colours and patterning over their 1 year lifespan. hopefully some males will appear in the web of the oldest female soon. interestingly, the second and third spiders are both missing the same right leg.
Australian Golden Orbweaver, 3 female individuals (Trichnephila edulis).

Is It True That Banana Spiders Can Bite? Exploring the Facts
Tumblr media
The banana spider, also known by its scientific name Nephila clavipes, is a species of spider that belongs to the family Nephilidae. It’s found throughout the tropical and subtropical regions of the world, including the Americas and the Caribbean. These spiders are known for their large size and their unique yellow-and-black coloring, which gives them their common name.
Banana spiders are arachnids, meaning they have eight legs and two main body segments. They spin large, complex webs that are made of silk and used to catch their prey. These webs are often found near rivers, lakes, and other bodies of water.

1. why did you choose your url? - Ravel Puzzlewell is a character from Planescape Torment, she’s an icon and an inspiration, what can I say.
2. any side blogs? - I laugh at people who try to keep up a “brand” on this webbed site. We spam whatever we want on main or perish
3. how long have you been on tumblr? - way too long. i’m bad with linear time, but I was there for the tail-end of superwholock, but already after mishapocalypse
4. do you have a queue tag? - i had queue tag, but bc i login from different laptops and PCs at different times, tumblr kept freaking out and resetting it, so i gave up. basically all my reblogged posts are queue
5. why did you start your blog in the first place? - to argue about video games, bc forums were too homophobic and livejournal too fic-oriented
6. why did you choose your icon or pfp?
this tag actually prompted me to change my icon, bc i put previous picrew one as a placeholder before i find art nouveau one that i liked, but i was too lazy to search. since my original posts here are media rants, this one is very on point on how i look when i info-dump on friends irl. except switch becherovka for wine or beer
Tumblr media
7. why did you choose your header? - it’s from promo material of pillars of eternity, i put it on when i was still excited for the game and bc it looks pretty. it’s my fav colors.
8. what is your post with the most popular notes? - one of the mass effect shitposts i think. probably asari- Cthulhu one.
9. how many mutuals do you have? - who the fuck keeps count
10. how many followers do you have? - 1158
11. how many people do you follow? - 208
12. have you ever made a shit post? - asdfghjk i love that this is question for a tag game on this fucking site. this is shitpost dot com, hello? what are you doing there otherwise
13. how often do you use tumblr? - i scroll on mobile from boredom pretty often, esp to procrastinate work, but actually post or pay attention to asks\ notes like once a week, when i get there to set up a queue
14. have you ever had a fight with another blog? - yes, i posts opinions here
15. how do you feel about "you need to reblog" posts? - i don’t feel anything? if i agree with the message i reblog. esp bc “you need to reblog!!” is usually not in the original post, but in one of the added reblogs, and why would i blame this obnoxiousness on op
16. do you like tag games? - i forget to do them most the time, but i do like them
17. do you like ask games? - i love receiving ask messages, thinking up answers and then never getting to actually typing them out
18. which of your mutuals do you think is tumblr famous? - the ones with most anon hate
19. do you have a crush on a Tumblr mutual? - no, i’m not in school
i don’t tag anyone, bc its stressful, but if you wish, do it and say i tagged you, i will back you up in a cringe courtroom

So, I have never shared the thoughts and sources? Must be my 2018 self a reason for this
Daohugou bed: environment at dusk. This picture was made for the contest. The basic idea behind the vertical shape, which I kept for the final entry, was having 2, maybe 3, scenes within one big picture, and which would be uncovered by scrolling. The scenes could also work as cutouts or separate paintings. Originally it would be about almost in-air accident between Volaticotherium and Jeholopterus, viewed from the salamander Chunerpeton perspective. But it turned out to be too difficult to portray, considering the time limit. Hence, the water surface got replaced by the forest ground, and Pangerpeton took over the Chunerpeton's place. Volaticotherium got almost scrapped, but it actually made it to the picture. Even if there are no animals are crashing mid-air on the picture (:B), I think it the illustration ended up not that bad.
