before taking my road test i did genuinely think everyone who said some of them will try to trip you up or be overly harsh were just sorta stretching the truth, but after how stupid my test was i understand.
i ended up autofailing bcz it was a two lane (same direction) parking lot where there were signs and cones saying one side was for the road test & one was for regular vechicles EXCEPT FOR ONE VERY SMALL AREA ONLY AT THE BEGINNING. but then she proceeded to make me continue on and do a parallel park, making me assume i didnt do anything wrong, and then have me circle back to the beginning and THEN fail me.
not only that, but she.. lied? about me not using my blinker when either going in or leaving the park????? which i straight up did do????? 🥲
#i think id have been less devastated by the fail if the just immediately told me to turn back around bcz i failed at the bad signage#i genuinely think that if anyone else saw that signage theyd be confused too. in fact im pretty sure my instructor didnt even know#bcz we needed to turn right but instead of going over to that tiny area that clips into the road test section#we went the long way around so we didnt go in that lane#the lesson i went to before my test was two hours and heavily inconvenient for my sponsor so to go through all of that and autofail..#odds are w her id have failed anyway. i genuinely dont see why she lied about the blinkers but AT LEAST if i went through the whole test &#failed it wouldve hurt but at least i could walk away knowing it wasnt as stupid as it was#now i have to renew my id bcz i wont have a license. and renew my permit. and pay $200+ for another test bcz i dont have#a car that can be used for the regular rmv. and now im paying rent for a place i cant even go to yet bcz the next rmv appt is in MID MAY#(the rent thing is normal and i did plan for it. but if you havent experienced rmvs 'post' covid.. you dont even do the test there.#you 'check in' and leave to do it at your house.)#i may try to beg my ride that i now 100% need to drive me to a further out one but. sighs. who knows#i ❤️ lifeeee#diary#sorry this is so long lol. im not as inconsolable as yesterday but now im just annoyed#i also wish to stress that while i love my car i fucking hate driving#my reward for getting my license is high car insurance and paying a ton for gas? really love amateur Internet horror as a whole like its a great medium for passion projects and creativity but if there's one thing id like to never ever see in the space again its "legitimately good subtle story but we added a scary monster that runs at you BWAH!!"
#its absurdly common in adaptations of liminal horror like someone comes up w a great liminal horror idea#and then a bunch of people who don't know how to be scary are just like and then we put a monster in it ooOoOooh!!!!!#like what happened to the backrooms or some scp video games#or there are these really great tiktok videos i think they're called like. phobia videos or something#and they're a collection of 3d animated clips that genuinely do get under my skin like#thalassophobia *video of you in a creepy underwater place* acrophobia *video of you on an impossibly tall building*#but then they always always ALWAYS end the clip with like . a creepy guy jumps out at you#like in the acrophobia one a creepy guy jumps out and pushes you off the tall building. they all have something like that#and it genuinely makes me insane because im like well THATS NOT? the phobia?? these arent different fears its all the same thing!!#i have been around the block too long in internet horror spaces im fully immune to Then A Scary Monster phobia#avpost#and im not one of those people with a stick up their ass about jumpscares its just like. not every story needs a scary monster face#i promise you there are other ways to índuce fear in your audience#and this has been going on like. at least since i was a teenager. like its so played out and we clearly will never move on#hell even from before i was a teenager like those youtube screamers are arguably the precursor to this#but nowadays its more annoying bc the stories are genuinely really good! until the goofy face monster ruins it

yeah the sonic the headhog movies wholeheartedly and unironically slap so hard i love them

More than 2 months after filming this, I'm finally able to upload it! While I fully expect no one to watch it, such is the nature of starting anything new. Even though I'm very late to the party, I'm not letting the footage go to waste- if I've got it, might as well post it.
Above is the first 10 minutes of my reaction, but I spent another ~30 minutes going back through, pausing and giving further commentary on the trailer, and then let the rest of the program play out as well. Work sucks i want to stay home and draw

"DIY tiny home you can build in weeks", ok... now lets see the cost
...seven and a half minutes later, the answer is $75k... so when you include land and all the rest of it, so basically nothing right?
This is my problem with tiny homes stuff, it's for rich people
#and as much as I'm pro home ownership since like... my house is pretty much what's made my life feasible#like I know two things for a fact; we don't have room to give every last person a house#(especially if they're basically one bedroom sized things dotting the land)#and not everyone even wants to own a home#but like... lets say that everyone did want to own a place... we can't even do single family stuff let alone infinite tiny homes#so you'd need to have at least some homes in the form of basically owned units in an apartment complex which... sounds like condos#and so... I legit don't even come close to having the answer for this#but the sad thing is... a commie block kind of beats a tiny home if we're honest I think#not even in some like... brutalist dystopian shoving people together kind of way#like I think I'd rather live in a well maintained commie block style apartment than in one of infinite tiny homes doting the land#I really really really like tiny homes as a concept... but every time you look at them you realize... it's all for rich people#and half of them are just gentrified trailers or closet sized apartments getting dressed up by an architect to up the price#like I'm not even trying to shit on this company cause like I'm for assembly line style home production#especially compared to the cheap shit we throw up now; it makes me with I could puke in anger and disgust at it#they showed clips to contrast with of a home being tossed up and the shit materials they use disgust me#seeing massive... whatever you call those new home blights... communities I guess; springing up they always look like they're made of trash#so yeah... I like this building style better than shitty single family homes 'from the low 300s'#but I think that these people are either doing a sales pitch; missing the big picture; or both when they talk about this#like this can't fix the housing crisis cause... one no one can afford shit even if it's... lets say $175k; that's a lot to ask most people#but two is it won't work long term to just dot a million little houses across the land#cause quite apart from finding all that land; think of all the electric grid and water infrastructure you have to lay#(or are these people expected to be able to afford solar and all that? cause... they ain't poor if they're doing that)#(and I'd kind of like poor people to not be screwed by the housing problems we have; the rich can get bent honestly)#I like living on my own in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere; I wouldn't want someone right next to me#so I'm literally the kind of person people bitching about rural folks is bitching about; so know that's not what I'm saying#but let's be honest... we need better and cheaper urban infrastructure and we need less suburbs and housing communities#and that's where the solution is gonna lie; not in reinventing the single family home (or smaller)#eh... I really really really like tiny homes and think they're neat... but I can't help but see they're rich people play things#...and that's my thoughts on this#it's kind of like how solar is nice and all... but just a few good nuclear plants would be a better solution than solar on every roof

Creature transformation from a dream I had one time.
When I was pillaging my sketchbooks I found a whole separate transformation I drew! Two for the price of one [second one under cut]
#this was me btw.#the lore was actsholly kinda cool. interdimentional travel kinda worked like stranger things.where there were sides but there were infinent#sides you can punch your pencil though the paper to. except also insteed of paper it was more like a spunge. and you traveled though the#spounge bits to get to other places. it was like a series of white hallways and eatch hallway represented a room in the regular world#if you cliped out of the hallways you whould wind up into the coresponding room. eventually you whould make it to a gateway sometimes and#that was a diffrent dimention. also in the hallways were sometimes golden doors. going though those lead you to safe rooms. you cant clip#out of them and they are stationary. also the nothing choudlent get in there and some other stuff chouldent either so it was fine to sleep#in them. except once you left the room the door whould disapear and you chouldent go into it ever again. it aplyed to an individual basis#the hallways were incredably dangerous tho. only the most dangerous beasts chould survive in the harsh conditions and unfortunently my#adventures into the multiverse tought one of these speices how to get out of the hallways and into the worlds it conected..#they took my parents... i was in denyal for a long time that the people i was liveing with were no longer my family. they took my other#brother then. they whould wear bodys like suits. useing their bodys to sustain their own. they were basically just brains that looked like#eels and let the bodys they took do all the work. but my family was dead. they were no longer my parents and brohter. they were takeing my '#little brother next. but when they were going to take them they were notified i knew about them. so they headed back to confrount me. they#locked my brother in my parents room and while they were trying to get into the bathroom i was locked it in i went though the hallways and#came out into the room with him. we scrambled out the window and i carryed my brother down to the ground. we ran to my sisters house. i told#her we needed to run. but she turned back as we entered the woods and yelled to her parents saying we were leaveing. her parents were also#no longer her parents. so they knew. and we ended up haveing to fight for our lives in the woods. my sister died. but then big lore drop: i#was human plus minus. between the sponge hallways was the nothing there was nothing between the hallways and in that nothing nothing lived.#the nothing was always so hungery. it whould try to eat the creatures of the hallways if you stayed in one spot for too long. one time a#traveler in the inbetween was being hunted by the nothing. it came though into the room where conception occured at the same time the n#nothing reached into the world in its wild hunger. but nothing can not exsist in something so it ceaced to be. but something was created.#a life a soul form nothing. the nothing was sucked into this spontainous creation of nothing from something and became. that something. the#nothing was born a human. and in the nothing becomeing something grate power of creation was born as well within me. I HAD A ONCE A DAY WISH#SPELL BABY!!! so i wished my sister back alive in that moment but she looked like a weird fish thing with telecenetic abilitys becuse it was#her fault that we were in this situation so she whould be takeing a form that whould be better suited for a battle#i changed her back later but still it was pretty radical. later im pretty sure i killed my parents bodys. they found us and we were going to#die. but instincts and fear and all those wild things that drive animals to live took over and so did my personification of my beastlyness.#the more anxity fear and wild emotions i experenced the further i whould fall into the last stage of the transformation. while the longer#i was stable the more i was human. it was a dream that stuck with me....

#ok yes I need to stop spending money#BUT#I’m literally so excited to be making this place feel like home#haven’t felt like I’ve had one in forever#and oh man my room is coming together so well#finally figured out what to do with my spare wall next to my tv#three panel wall art of a misty forest with a shelf below it and a shelf above it#with plants on the shelves#and the wall art actually only cost me $25???? I’m used to it being like $80+ lol#I already have the shelves too and a few fake plants for perpetual greenery#mayyyyy consider a couple small live ones if I can figure out a grow light that would mesh well with the set up#but I think that kinda covers it for decorations#that was the last thing I needed. unless my string for hanging up pictures ends up jank or not looking right#though even then I think I still have beige twine I can use instead with wooden paper clips#overall very happy#I also got a frame for the giant studio ghibli paint by numbers I’m working on#I may not be a good artist but it was still fun and I might as well use it as decor#idk I’m loving all this lol
