I attended the Formula E weekend in Misano and had an absolute blast! 🏎💙
The energy was incredible, with great moments on and off track and lots of extra activities to do — I can't wait for Formula E to become a staple at the circuit, so that even more people will attend and enjoy
Some thoughts about these two days (+ a bunch of pictures I took down below) 🏁
The cars are super cool and seeing the racing live was AMAZING, lots of oohing and aahing from us fans under the Quercia and I absolutely love the sound even if it's goofy (hoovers on wheels <3)
I'm for sure biased but I enjoyed saturday's race quite a bit more than sunday's – lots of overtakes all around the track and my faves all had good/great results!! whereas mechanical dnfs make me kind of upset and rowland's nissan spluttered to death literally in front of me so :(
The schedules are kind of absurd tbh, those poor guys get squeezed to hell and back starting from the crack of dawn plus racing & fan interactions with little pause – i guess it makes events more sustainable and easier to attend, but damn I feel for the drivers and team members
There was a frankly insane number of McLaren fans, way more than I expected (mainly because it's Italy aka Ferrari land, but also in general) – the funny thing is the Neom car is BRIGHT NEON ORANGE especially under the sunlight. No papayas in sight.
Catie Munnings is a goddess.
I witnessed James Barclay almost pouring an espresso all over himself because a random kid wasn't looking at where he was going
The drivers were all friendly enough (even though with the way the rounds and the paddock itself are organized I'm afraid they get bothered much more than they'd like 🥴)
Paul Aron was a permanent fixture in the Envision garage, I feel like I've seen him more during the weekend than I have my grandma lately
Max Guenther is nice but seems a bit more reserved than the other drivers, comparatively
Sebastian Buemi is truly pocket sized
Oliver Rowland was absolutely lovely, he often had his daughter with him and that amplified the adorableness; when I wished him good luck for the race on saturday he thanked me and gave me a genuine smile with crescent moon eyes (idk how to better describe it, he was very cute and a lot chipper than the others) 🌸

Part 3 of me looking at what the UK number one songs were when racing drivers were born. This time it's the FE grid (with a lot of track sharing going on here 😂)
Andre Lotterer - (19th November 1981) - Queen & David Bowie - Under Pressure
Lucas Di Grassi - (11th August 1984) - George Michael - Careless Whisper
Rene Rast - (26th October 1986) - Nick Berry - Every Loser Wins
Sam Bird - (9th January 1987) & Edoardo Mortara (12th January 1987) - Jackie Wilson - Reet Petite
No but what a race and come through for Jake and Pascal. So happy for Sam for his podium after a rough season last year.
Jake looking scary good so far this season - he might just be putting himself into contention for an Andretti F1 seat should their entry get a green light.
The Porsche powertrain is also looking scary good and dominant so far! I wonder if the rest of the teams can develop and match them. This season is looking good!
