This took a stupid long time to work on, but it kept me motivated when my brain was broken from finals and when my heart was broken by the latest Thicker Than updates 💔

finished everything i never told you and... wow.

tbh i really liked the book, in term of the story, character portrayal even with their flaws and everything.

but the highlight for me hand down was JACK.

"A drop of water trickled out of Nath’s hair, like a shy little mouse, and ran down the nape of his neck. It made its slow way between his shoulder blades, and where his back curved, it dropped straight down, as if it had jumped off a cliff, and splashed onto the back of Jack’s hand. Nath, facing away from Jack, didn’t see it, and neither did Lydia. Only Hannah, saw it fall. In her ears, it made a noise, like a cannon shot. And Jack himself jumped. He stared at the drop of water without moving, as if it were a rare insect that might fly away. Then, without looking at any of them, he raised his hand to his mouth and touched his tongue to it, as if it were honey.

It happened so quickly that if she were a different person, Hannah might have wondered if she’d imagined it. No one else saw. Nath was still turned away; Lydia had her eyes shut now against the sun. But the moment flashed lightning-bright to Hannah. Years of yearning had made her sensitive, the way a starving dog twitches its nostrils at the faintest scent of food. She could not mistake it. She recognized it at once: love, one-way deep adoration that bounced off and did not bounce back; careful, quiet love that didn’t care and went on anyway. It was too familiar to be surprising. Something deep inside her stretched out and curled around Jack like a shawl, but he didn’t notice."

these 2 paras changed my life.

like i know the book at the end indicates that they ended up together but i need a sequel on jack and nath. I NEED TO KNOW THEIR STORY. nath absolutely HATED jack throughout the book except for the last page. when he realized that jack wasn't involved in lydia's death.

like i have never read such a good portrayal of unrequited love. it changed me as a person. i want nothing but to know more.

Call Me By Fire S2 has taken an incredibly cinematic approach this season and I’m not sure if I should be impressed or if I should lament how they’re kind of erasing what it means to perform on a stage?

It feels like these performances are designed for a TV audience rather than a live audience because so much of the aesthetics are reliant on close-up camera shots (and sometimes even slow-mo). 

Just haven’t really been wow’d by any of this year’s performances yet, even though I love a lot of this year’s cast. Last year, the performances were designed to show off everyone’s stage presence with large, flashy dance numbers, or at least kinetic movement and travel on stage. 

One example of wasted talent this year was how Raymond Lam and Vanness Wu, two artists who have extensive experience dancing and performing in sold-out arenas, performed a very high-energy song but stood in place the entire time and were only allowed to move their upper body. 

Also, Chilam renewing his vows with Anita on stage seemed like an unfair advantage to sway the audience emotionally. 

I think the program knows that it’s getting harder to surprise and impress the audience because we’ve already seen a lot last season: bonding between members, nostalgia, wives coming to support their husbands, and so it’s hard to top last season.

While she showed up to Lucky 7 with Gio, she certainly didn't stay with him. Selena was seen spending time with her ex-boyfriend and rapper, Oryn. The two seemed to have hung out for a while. But that wasn't the only other man she seemed to be talking to.

Partygoers said that she was in a conversation with another mystery man before talking to Nathan Lee - who seemed to be having a pretty busy night himself, having been seen at the Prescott party only a few hours earlier. The two were seen kissing and taking shots together at the bar before they were seen wandering off together. To the bathroom? To the alleyway? Nobody is sure, but we can't imagine they just went to talk....

We wish we could say that was the end of it, but none of us were so lucky. The last time Selena was seen before leaving was with Gio. Someone shared that his hand seemed a little high on her dress while the two were inside before they vanished off to the alleyway together.

Yikes. That's a lot. Even for her.
