👩‍🏭 If one of your fics was going to get you arrested, which one and why?

Omigosh, huhhhhhh... My Genin!Hinata/Jonin-sensei!Naruto dubcon WIP, I guess? 😅 50-50 either stuff happens when she's 12yo or 14yo, but the part of me that's a coward and doesn't want to invite drama gonna shoot for when she's 14. 😅 12-13yos gonna be emotional manipulation stuff. 🤔

🌈 What inspired you to write all your fics?

The age regression sequence in The Last is solely at fault for my Age Difference obsession. Sometimes it's something I see, for example, "be the end of me" is only because I saw an Asian female customer with super long hair but most of it was bleached blonde. Or "Handsy" is because I saw yoga equipment. My brain just handles the rest. I get hit with a semitruck of narrative and it's a WIP! Soaking up online discussion or other people's fics help too. Sometimes I'll jinx myself in reverse and tell someone "I'm stuck, I don't know how to handle this part, it's sooo boring", and then something hits me after and it's kind of embarrassing because I have to tell them "Nevermind" and ugh. 😅 Songs, too ofc! So many songs! I have playlists and everything.

🧠 What’s an idea you have that you can’t quite call a WIP yet?

I answered this one with Wicker-Mayne's ask, but let me see if I don't have another. 🤔 Maybe my Shibari AU? I still have to read the rest of the book and taking notes will help me remember the material, so I really got to find the time and do that. But it shouldn't be a hard one to write. I have an old post with the 3 or 4 variations that I thought of before, but all-in-all, it's just hentai doujin material. Hinata and her Shibari Instructor or sShibari Partner, whichever one I choose to do.

She thought porn stars were supposed actors. Her previous co-star certainly was. The penetration was real. His hands on her body were real. He took up twice the space she did, had to hunch beneath the ceiling when he stood up earlier, giving her a tantalizing show that made her mouth water. She tipped her bottle back, taking a furtive sip of chilled water to clear the unrestrained insanity plaguing her imagination. His commanding voice in her ear was going to haunt her dreams later, she was certain of it. That hungry aggression telling her to grab his cock. And he stained his sweats when she touched him. Was he really that aroused by her? Or was it something he was on? He’s old enough to need to pop blue little pills, but she doesn’t know much about them and how they work otherwise.

👀 Do you have any WIPs that you would never let see the light of day? If yes, what are they about?

Only the WIPs inside my mind, lol. 🤭 I honestly don't have anything I've written that I'm too scared to post. If I'm writing it, I'm usually planning on posting it. 🙈 Any WIPs that are ancient or incomplete count, I suppose. And so far, I still haven't properly shared the entirety of "Kotatsu" something-something. It was a flash in the pan kind of thing and I just lost all motivation to clean it up. 😅

I love all of my fics of course, but some are very dear to me for different reasons.

Secrets of the Hidden Leaf - I love this fic, not only is it a ton of fun to write, but I feel like it gives me an opportunity to bring awareness and better understanding to a variety of lifestyles, the submissive lifestyle in particular as well as opening minds to different types of relationships such as polyamory. It's an educational fic buried in smutty goodness I suppose, lol. Then of course the drama/angst is incredibly fun to craft.

Monster - This was my first NaruHina fic and is really like my baby baby (cuz all my fics are my babies) but this one has a special place as my first foray into the wonderful world of NaruHina. This is where I get my fluffiest, despite the horror element 🤭I just love the NaruHina love and connection in here, and I enjoy filling in the blanks of the Otsutsuki with my own nonsense as well.

A Cure For Love - My first time writing M/M Slash dynamic (and certainly not my last) and I am having a ball! It's also another polyamory between Naruto, Hinata, and Sasuke. There are nowhere near enough fics with this trio, and too many that favor one part of the pairing and leave one of these sweetheart squeezed out of the relationship. I plan on adding a lot more NaruHinaSasu fanfics in the future for people like me that want to see this pairing more. I also love that this story gives me a lot of creative freedom. I can take so many elements of the Naruto world and morph it into this supernatural aesthetic.

Prey - A tribute to the dark side, this is a fic I sat on for a while because I didn't want to deal with drama over it's contents but so far I haven't had to deal with any. I can write my immoral, sociopathic Naruto just they way I want. I love Naruto, I love villains and I'm thrilled to combine the two. Surprisingly people LOVE this story and it makes me happy I wasn't the only one craving a dark tale.

NaruHina Fair Oneshot Collection - This was such a good time in my NaruHina writing journey despite the chaos of that month. I feel like most of the ideas I had floating around in my head or collecting dust on my laptop finally got a chance to breathe! I've always felt a bit down that I don't have time (and may never have time) to create every single fanfic I want to write and this collection of oneshots alleviated that feeling quite a bit! Whether I get around to fleshing them all out or not, I've at least published something to the masses and that is way better than never publishing them at all.

here's a snippet of chapter 2 for An Affair of Honor.

Settings: they were having dinner, Neji and Nart were practically buddies in college

"I wasn't aware that you and the Duke were this close, Neji. Pardon my intrusion, your grace, but out of curiosity, was Neji ever.... popular with the women in your University?"

Upon hearing their father, Hanabi bit back a giggle while Hinata hid underneath the frame of her bangs, not at all interested at the direction of their conversation. Neji, on the other hand, fumed a bright red before speaking out, ears red and cheeks tinted from being openly humiliated

As for Naruto, he was chuckling a hearty laugh at the discomfort of his companion. "Actually, as unbelievable as it may sound, he did have a good number of admirers back then. In some mysterious way, everyone somehow felt drawn to him." He says as his eyes trace over her, his gaze subtle and yet carnal, she feels as if she might faint at the weight of it.

"Must be in the genes."

He mumbles ever so casually and she doesn't miss the teasing smirk he sends her.

A smile shoots her way and all of a sudden she's lightheaded, dizzy, and madly blushing all over, her cheeks threatening to combust from its warmth and redness.

Just felt like sharing a few paragraphs from the next chapter of “A Trail of Notes” because... why not? 

Gazing upwards, she tracked the progress of a lone snowflake as it fell, its trajectory taking it directly in front of her. For a single moment, she was overtaken by the sudden and childish temptation to stick her tongue out and catch the flake at its tip. She almost did, in fact, and opened her mouth, ready to do so. 

She stopped, stiffening, and the flake drifted past her face, landing lazily on the ground between her feet as she closed her mouth quickly and looked behind her in fear. Even if her father had stopped sending her to school accompanied by Ko or another Hyuuga after that first day as part of his strategy to toughen her up, it was difficult to tell if he wasn’t sending clan members to tail her and report back to him any act of cowardice or of a hint of behaviour that was unbecoming. 

Momentarily, she contemplated using her Byakugan to check, but then, if there was anyone following her, she was sure they’d go back and tell her father s of her anxiety and paranoia. Though she couldn’t help but think that they might report her not using her greatest asset as evidence that she has no instincts or self-awareness anyways. 

You Don’t Love Me

Her eyes were red rimmed and puffy. Her breathing came in uneven gasps. She was holding herself, arms griped around her so tight her knuckles were white. The blanket that Sasuke had retrieved for her had fallen from her shoulders and pooled loosely around her waist, giving her no comfort. Though Sasuke was sure nothing would now. The glass of water he had grabbed her sat undrank of the coffee table, condensation droplets making a little puddle on the glass surface.

He thought about grabbing a coaster, but didn’t want to appear anymore insensitive then his reputation stated already.

Instead, he sat with a couch cushion between them, giving her a wide berth. He had his elbow propped on his knee, head resting on his fist, idly watching her lips quiver. Tears were forming and pouring down her cheeks now as she stared at his TV, obviously not taking in this evening's news.

“Hinata,” Sasuke started carefully.

She turned her head, slowly to look at him, and not the first time, Sasuke wished that Hinata saw what all the other girls did.

But she didn’t. She never cared about his looks or his wealth or almost him as a person, even. She seemed almost entirely blasé about him, first only tolerating him because of Naruto and Sakura and only later joining him in a reluctant friendship through close proximity. She was also the only one in friend group who seemed to still have a problem with his ‘minor’ drug problem.

She said nothing, waiting for him to continue. Her little, button nose was turning red now as well, and she had to bite her lip to stop their quivering.

Sasuke regretted getting her attention. He could now feel the full force of his guilt crush him, stomping his heart into his stomach. Knowing full well that every prick of her pain was his fault.

He didn’t directly make Naruto break up with her, but it was his words that drove him to it.

He knew.

And her broken gasp meant she knew too.

He had never been able to hide from her.

“Sasuke, please don’t tell me-” Her voice was gravely and broken.

Because of him.

He took in a slow breath, looking away from her, leaning back into his couch. Rubbing his hands on his pants, licking his lips, trying to look as non incriminating as possible.

It never worked.

She saw everything.

“How could you?” He could hear the fresh tears.

He never had to look to see her. She was always there, surrounding him, whether he liked it or not.

“Hinata.” He tried to stop her, but it was weak, even to himself.

“You did. You made Naruto do this. Didn’t you?”

He still couldn’t look at her.

She stood up, knocking the blanket to the ground, leaving it cold and alone.

“You are such a child.”

Hinata isn’t one to shout. Or swear.

But he wishes she would. Her dangerous, even tenor cuts worse than her screaming could. And she can only speak the truth if she leaves out expletives.

Sasuke swallows.

“Do you think I care about Naruto’s job? Or how big his apartment is? Or what kind of car he drives?”

He doesn't even have a fucking car! He bites back the retort, begrudgingly. It really wouldn’t be helpful.

“Do you think I care about his hair?”

She takes a step closer, where she standing over Sasuke and he can feel her shaking right next to him.

Sasuke rubs his hands down his face and turns to look at her. She still holding herself and Sasuke can’t even put his eyes on her face.

“Do you think I care about if he has a nice watch? Or cufflinks?”

He finally sets down his clasped hands out of her line of view, a not so subconscious, vain attempt to hide said gold watch and matching cufflinks.

���I love him.” She finally chokes out in a strangled sob.

“I love you.”

That’s the only thing Sasuke can say in defense of his actions.

She snorts.

He wasn’t expecting that.

“No. You don’t. You’re a angry, jealous little boy that can’t stand the happiness of others.”

She brushed past him, knocking into his knees and makes a b-line to the front door and gently closes it behind her.

She can’t even slam the door when she leaves his life.

It wasn’t even five minutes after she had left him that he was back on his couch. A pile of cocaine getting measure out by Platinum Visa Card. He didn’t have any hundreds on him to truly feel like Scarface, but he figured that the twenties and $300 bottle of scotch was good enough. Though he had discarded his watch and cufflinks on the glass next to the pile of white, and rolled his sleeves halfway up his forearms.

Switching the channel to one of the porn ones in the 900 range, he set to work on the lines. Doing two and leaning back, rubbing his nose in a vain attempt to lessen the pain and feeling the sludge burn down to his throat, letting his body set fire. Taking his tumbler of scotch and downing half of it in one gulp, mixing the burning in his throat, knowing full well house dangerous snorting and drinking could be together.

Not bringing himself to care anymore.

Hinata left him.

The things she had called him.

How he hurt her.

He didn’t know if she would ever talk to him again. If he would see her again.

The train of thought had him measuring out another line far too soon. His vision blurred as he tried to lean his head back onto the couch. His heart started to pound, he could feel his veins burning into his hands and feet. He felt like he could flip a truck.

Finishing off his drink, he slammed the cup down, clinking glass against glass.

Hinata had left him, feeling lonelier than usual.

He could call anyone. A multitude of women would be here within minutes, but that thought was hollow. The only one that gave him any flicker of hope was perhaps Sakura. Naruto was probably with her right now.

Would he be just as broken up as Hinata?

Pleasure filled Sasuke with thoughts of snatching away Naruto’s solace with a single text message but he drowning that thought with another burning drink of scotch, this time from the bottle. It would be a shallow victory.

Because that’s not the women he wanted.

The women he wanted would look at him right now with a mixture of disgust, disdain, disappointment.

But she had already done that today, hadn’t she?

Sasuke’s fingers gripped his hair, willing himself not to rip out tufts of it.

He was below forgiving, even for her, in her infinite grace. Could he really let that be the last things she said to him? The last way she looked at him?

Sasuke always counted on Hinata being his absolution

He never considered her to be his damnation.

His heartbeat thundered again, and in the next second he was standing, screaming, and violently kicking over his glass table.

His watch, cufflinks, leftover pile of blow, his tumbler, and wallet lay strewn across his rug in shards of glass. The iron frame laying unceremoniously on top of the rubble.

He yelled again.

She was wrong.

Because he did love her. Not in the way you were suppose to love someone. Not that way she deserved. But in the only way he knew how, he loved her.

After looking down at the shattered glass, listening to the outrageous moaning of loveless sex, holding a bottle of $300 scotch when he left like a $6 bottle of vodka, he realized she had been right.

He was a petulant, spoiled child that lashed out and broke things when he didn’t get his way.

But he was right too.

Because he loved her.

1. How long ago did you start reading fanfiction? Writing fanfiction?

It looks like I started writing in 2017. I've been reflecting recently on how there are so many regularly active writers now compared to in 2017-2018. It was the tail-end of some of my fave writer's activity within fandom. Utsus was posting less and less. The Tumblr NaruHina fandom seemed to disappear, a whole community of writers left for other things (matchaball, nekomamoru, magmawrites, cherryjutsu, spyder-m, tenney-shoes, eliphya, among others). 2018 was a very quiet year, but! I avidly read katarinahime and bunnyhoodlum's works! In 2019, quirrrky restarted things with NaruHina Week!

2. How do you spend your time when it comes to fanfiction? Are you primarily a fic reader, writer, or a perfect 50/50 split of both?

Recently I’m primarily a reader!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because there's so many writers now!!!!!!!!

3. Are there any fics that inspired you to write what you do?

Yeah, let’s list them.  “A Special Friend” by agitosgirl inspired “Nightdreams.  “Medicine” by @grimmjowkurosakidrake​ inspired “White Lilies.  “Torch Song” by @mmmbuttery inspired “About You.”  The language in “Unless the World Were to End” by @bunny-hoodlum​ inspired the language in “That was the plan.”  “In Between Drinks” by @peppercornpress inspired “In Between Drinks NH.”

4. Link your three favorite fics right now.

“Operation: Bring Home Naruto” by Dragonwannabe - Rated T, Canon-Divergent, Multi-chapter, Complete. Hinata's been assigned the mission of getting Naruto back home safely after his last dangerous assignment. But can she handle the undercover identity as his girlfriend that she’d been given without revealing her true feelings for him?

“The Mission” by Lunawraythe - Rated M, Canon-Divergent, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. It wasn't that Hinata never expected to work with Naruto, just never on a mission quite like this.

5. What are your fanfic pet peeves? Do they have a huge effect on whether or not you decide to read something?

ahhh.  I do have quite a few pet peeves.  If the fic is Canon-Compliant or Canon-Divergent, I expect Naruto and Hinata to behave like Japanese people.  Say what you want, but the Naruto Universe is definitely Japanese in my book.  So that means no shoes in the house.  Nothing rattles me more than reading Hinata taking her sandals off before climbing into bed.  Like, what?  she was wearing her outdoor shoes indoors this whole time??

mmm... another pet peeve is when the writer describes Hinata in a kimono, but it sounds like an American Halloween costume, like the slutty version, instead of an actual kimono.

mmm... and the other big pet peeve I have is when it’s Hinata’s first time eating ramen because Naruto is showing her the wonders of ramen.  lol.  why.  how.  in what world would a Japanese person make it to their teenage years without ever eating ramen.

I have a bunch of other little pet peeves regarding Japanese culture in fanfics.  But in general, it doesn’t stop me from reading the fic if I'm already in the middle of it.  I’ll continue reading it and will probably recommend it to other people anyway. If I can tell based on the summary, then it's not for me, and I don't read it. If this makes anyone feel nervous about writing fanfiction, that's not my intention! I would also be happy to be a sensitivity reader if necessary.

6. How do you find new fic to read? Where do you primarily read fanfiction?

I primarily read fanfics on AO3 and ffnet.  I find new ones by constantly checking the Hyuuga Hinata/Uzumaki Naruto tag on AO3 or looking into a writer’s favorites list on ffnet.

7. Do you prefer to read short fics or long fics?

Short fics.

8. How often do you reblog/comment on fics that you like?

I reblog pretty often. I don't comment as often as I used to😕 I used to comment on every fic I liked.

9. Tag 3 fic writers you think are underrated/unknown in the fandom/fanfiction community.

Uhh?? Idk. I think recently the writing group here is pretty tight, everyone seems to know everyone.

10. What’s your favorite fandom, pairing, or character to read fic for?

Naruto fandom and NaruHina.

11. How do you come up with your fic titles?

I usually take it from words used in the story or from the prompt.

12. Tell the author your favorite fic title of theirs (not the fic, strictly title). Author: what’s your favorite title you’ve come up with and why?

I think...maybe "Tell Me of Forevers" or "Nightdreams." I like those because they aren't taken word-for-word directly from the story, but touch on a theme in the story.

13. Do you outline your fics? How much of a headache would someone get if they just looked at an outline of yours without reading the fic?

Yes, I outline. They wouldn't get a headache, I think. It's usually just a summary.

14. Do you have a personal word minimum that you hold yourself too? Why or why not?

Nope. I didn't know people do that.

15. Tell the author your favorite fic of theirs. What’s your (the author’s) favorite fic you’ve written?

My favorite fic continues to be "It's No Secret."

16. Do you research for your fics? If so, how deep of a rabbit hole have you gone down by accident when researching?

Yes, I do. I've done historical and folktale research for "Little Samurai." I did area/location research for "Last Chance." I did historical research for "About You." I did fairy tale research for "Catskin." I did a ton of astronomy research for "The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl." And I did lighting research for "Inspo." I go pretty deep.

17. How obsessively do you sit and stare at your fic after you’ve just posted and wait for feedback?

I don't. I usually have something else I need to do or I go to bed.

18. Do you have a WIP that you keep telling yourself you’ll eventually get back to, but deep down you know that’s probably a lie?

I actually think I can finish all of mine if I just try.

19. Do you edit your fics after you write them, or do you prefer to just hit post and run (because it’s someone else’s problem now)?

I always edit before posting to AO3. Anything I post directly on Tumblr might not be edited.

20. What’s your favorite part about the fanfiction writing process?

Posting!

21. What’s your least favorite part about the fanfiction writing process?

Starting a new chapter.

22. Do you take fic requests? If so, for what characters and why?

On occasion. If someone sends me a request, I'll think about writing it. Sometimes I do write and post it, sometimes I leave them in my drafts for a better day.

23. What’s your absolute favorite trope to write?

From what I already have posted, probably friends-to-lovers, secret relationship/forbidden love, or high school au. I don't think I have an intentional favorite.

24. What’s a trope that you’d like to never hear about as long as you live, let alone write?

Public humiliation / public degradation.

25. Do you listen to music as you write? If possible, link your writing playlist.

No, not usually.

26. What’s your biggest distraction when writing?

Tumblr feed, all the pictures to scroll through mindlessly.

27. Do you like to give your readers some warning of what might be coming or just slap them in the face with content at random?

lol, whatever is fine.

28. How do you deal with writing pressure (ie: pressure to update, negative comments, deadlines, etc)?

Well, pressure to update is not a big deal to me. I do this for fun, so I don't think I unnecessarily pressure myself too much. With negative comments, I don't get too many of those, and I think I do my best to avoid situations where I might get negative feedback.

29. Have you ever written for an exchange or event of some kind? Which one(s)? Did you enjoy it?

Yeah, I like the events. My favorite was NH2020, the year-long one last year. I also enjoyed the Secret Santa last year since @badluckbrebis was my giftee.

That was the plan: "She shifts in his arms, and cloth and cleavage come pillowing up to his face, and he’s certain that she’s scooped from the same puffy stuff his adolescent daydreams were made of."

Tell Me of Forevers: "What he wouldn’t do to inspire every blush, every smile of hers for an eternity when such moments already only speak “forever” to him."

White Lilies: "Whether at his feet, in his eyes, ears, mind, if not reaching his heart, she never landed anywhere. (It’s okay.)"

I consider "White Lilies" to have my technically best writing, so it was kind of hard to choose just one line from that fic! But I decided that one's my favorite line from the whole story.

33. What do you like writing better: one shots or multi-chapter stuff?

One-shots.

34. How much of yourself and your life experiences do you put into your writing? What do you think your readers’ image of you is?

A lot of my life experiences are in my writing. Hmm, I think readers probably think I'm...hmm...either empathetic or really perverted?

35. How much has writing fic changed your life?

I spend a lot less time on real-life social media than before.

36. Are there any fics or fandoms you’re embarrassed to have written or been part of?

I'm kind of embarrassed of "Honeymoon at the Hot Springs" lol. It's fine.

37. Give an update on your current WIP - if you don’t have one, give a sneak peek to a title or idea that you have and would like to write.

My current WIP is that A/B/O fic I started for February Smut Month Prompts: Sweet as Candy or Love Bites. I'm going to title it "Sweet As," and it'll be about how Naruto and Hinata become Alpha/Omega mates. It's really kinky, really smutty, and totally what I would want to read.

38. What does your writing process look like? How chaotic is it on a scale of 1 (very tame) to 10 (you can’t handle this kind of chaos)?

uhh???? a 1?? I've never once thought of my writing process as chaotic. Ahh, then I think of bunnyhoodlum's multiple drafts for the same chapter, and I realize that there exist types of writing processes that I would not be able to handle...

39. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?

My smut.

Idk about Tumblr,,, maybe White Lilies got the most attention here. My most popular fic is Nightdreams on AO3.

I will always remember how people congratulated me for finishing White Lilies😭 Also, when peppercornpresses made that FIRST art of my story, I just, I just stared at it all day.

PLZ NO NOT UNDONE 😂😭 it’s a Naruto/NaruSaku fanfic from 7 years ago that I never finished dslkjf the basic plot is undoing that awful ending and SasuSaku and NaruHina. ok well here’s a snippet as promised lmao.

It was well past midnight by the time they finally stopped moving. Despite how fast and far they traveled, and how many clones spanned the area searching for any flicker of Sarada’s chakra, they found nothing.

When Naruto came to a stop, landing in the middle of a clearing of trees, Sakura looked at him with indignation.

“What are you doing?” she demanded. Sai leapt down from a tree, dirt and dust kicking up around him as he landed. He and Naruto locked eyes, and Sai nodded before pulling out sleeping rolls and starting to set up camp. Sakura glowered at him. “Sai, stop that! We’re not going to quit until we find Sarada!”

“Sakura-chan…” Naruto said softly. 

“This is ridiculous! Sarada is out there, waiting for me to find her and take her home! You expect me to stop? Every second we spend sitting here she’s getting further away in the hands of—who knows who!” 

Sai ignored her, instead focusing on starting up a campfire. Naruto sighed and ran a hand through his mussed up hair. 

“I get what you’re saying, but we’ve been going nonstop for hours. When we catch whoever took her, we can’t risk being too exhausted or weak to fight them. Besides,” Naruto said, leaning back against a mossy tree trunk, “we won’t be as effective if we’re half asleep.”

Sakura let out an angry groan and turned her back on him, but she knew he had a point. Of course, she was still just a few (seconds) away from a breakdown and couldn’t even imagine actually sleeping while Sarada was in danger, but there were other teams looking for her, and she would be more effective if they took time to rest.

She sat a few feet from Sai’s fire, which now crackled happily under the night sky. She refused to look at either of them, and when Naruto tried to get her to eat, she stubbornly turned her head away and didn’t even grace him with a response. She wasn’t sure how much time actually passed. Her thoughts were running out of control, thinking of terrible scenarios and worrying about if Sarada would be okay…

And Sasuke. Where the hell was he during all of this? Off doing some supposedly important mission out in the woods? While his own daughter disappeared and could be gone for good?

“Sakura-chan, do you mind if I sit by you?” She jumped and looked up at Naruto, surprised. She hadn’t realized how far she’d been transported by her thoughts. Sakura shrugged and gestured at the space beside her.

“Sure, go ahead.”

Naruto sat, his white hokage cloak draped in front of him like a blanket. They sat in silence for a long moment, the only sounds the chirping of bugs and crackling of the fire. Finally, Naruto let out a long breath and turned to her.

“I’m sorry,” he said.

Sakura raised her eyebrows at him. “Sorry? For what?”

“We used to be best friends and… more than that, and even though things didn’t work out, I shouldn’t have completely cut you out like that.” Naruto rubbed his forehead sleepily. “I could’ve—should’ve—been there more for you. Just because we couldn’t be together, doesn’t mean we couldn’t still be teammates. Or friends.”

“It’s a little too late for that,” Sakura snapped. The moment she said it, she regretted it. But nonetheless, she looked away, staring at the dirt forest floor. Things could never go back to the way they were, no matter what Naruto said. A few words couldn’t fix the world of hurt. Couldn’t fix the aching in her chest.

Didn’t make up for the years they’d lost together, and attempted to fill with love from others.

“Sakura, there’s… something that I need to tell you.”

She looked up, and in spite of herself, her heart began to pound. She glanced behind her at the fire, and saw Sai, curled up on his bedroll and sleeping soundly. Realization dawned on her—this was the first time in nearly thirteen years she’d ever really been alone with Naruto. Ever since the moment he ended their relationship, and broke her heart in the process.

“Okay… what is it?” 

Light from the flames reflected in Naruto’s warm blue eyes. “I swore to myself I’d never tell you, but, I don’t know. I just feel like it was so long ago, and you deserve to know the truth.”

“Truth about what?”

“Sakura, I…” Naruto trailed off, cleared his throat, looked away. “I really thought you looked beautiful on your wedding day. Sasuke’s a really lucky guy.”

“Oh.” Sakura’s heart sank. And here she was, expecting some kind of—what? Apology for breaking her heart? Love confession? She didn’t even want a love confession. She may not be particularly happy with Sasuke, but she was madly in love with him. Never mind the fact that he was always gone, and when he was home, he was always wrapped up in himself, and he barely touched her, or held her, and even when they shared intimate moments together his mind always seemed to be on something else.

It wasn’t like Naruto would be any better. From the whispers and gossip she heard from the other kunoichi, his relationship with Hinata was anything but passionate.

Naruto let out a frustrated groan and pushed himself up to his feet. “I’m going to bed, Sakura. You should get some sleep. We’re going to find your daughter tomorrow.”

“Yeah. We will.” She watched as he crossed the clearing to the bedroll besides Sai. Naruto Uzumaki may have matured from the complete goofball and knucklehead he once was, but some things never changed. And one of those things was his undying devotion and care for the things that Sakura held most dear.

I just need an outlet to let this thoughts out or this will plague my mind forever lol I haven't properly watched the ending so some ships may not be mentioned. NaruHina: I was always rooting for Hinata. She's so nice. Each time she gets shy around Naruto. I'd be like. "Go talk to him. You can do it." They had interactions but I don't recall anything direct with each other like ????????? I like that Naruto inspired her to be better. Obviously, Naruto is good for her. But I wanted more interactions and developments between them. It's just frustrating that they never meet halfway. All the declarations of love and interest are in thoughts. To me, to fall in love is to spend time with one another, get to know and bare oneself to each other. And you'll know whether you wanted to spend the rest of your life with this person. I'm not expecting romance per se BUT LET THESE TWO FICTIONAL CHARACTERS TALK TO EACH OTHER SasuSaku: I have soft spot for them when they were young. The potential for them to be an amazing couple is just 👌👌👌👌 I have the same problem with these two. What's with Kishi not making two characters talk with one another. What is this? Indirect love?????? Naruto and Sasuke has a more developed relationship than SasuSaku. I don't mean in a romantic sense but as relationship in general. You mean to tell me they are the most precious person to one another with almost zero communications and through thank you's and a poke in a forehead. It's not even taking into account with Sasuke's attempts to kill her. (Without remorse) After that incident, I became neutral to SasuSaku. And I started looking for potential ships for Sakura. And boy, you can pair her with anyone. Lee, Gaara, Sasori, Sai, Obito and even Kakashi I can't really see NaruSaku as a couple. IDK why but fanarts between them are cute. I like her pair with Kakashi the most because she's the only female character I can see being paired to him. No one else. Anyways, when Boruto happened. That was the last fucking straw. My reaction to Sasuke impregnating and abandoning her: "My expectations were low but holy shit." Curse you canon for ruining whatever love I have for this ship. No amount of fanfic can fix this anymore because it's canon. And the novels are not canon to me because I see those as means to plug up plotholes. In other words, you should have left it to an SS shipper to write up the plot for these two. InoSai: What I can recall is Sai saved her and tada! They're a couple now. I can't really complain much because it's like their interactions are all behind the scenes. It's implied that after that, they start to like and fall in love with one another. But you can do better than that. I know Naruto is shonen or shounen?? anime. But can't you make one ep or random snippets on how they get together ShikaTema: This!! Best canon ship. You don't know how happy I am to know they became a couple. I always shipped them as a kid. The fight they had piqued their interest with one another. Shikamaru being a smartass tries to woo my girl Temari. It is seen both of them together. And they got together in the end. It's just so satisfying. Other complaints I have: My girl Anko!! Kishi made a comic relief out of her on Boruto. She deserves better treatment after fanservicing the hell out of her. I'm just really bitter about this. Orochimaru: You mean to tell me after killing the third hokage and thousands of people maybe, kidnapping children, experimenting on them, he got rewarded a peaceful life in Konoha with a family????? I always think about if Shikamaru was the hokage, he wouldn't let this shit happen. Not only that, they made a comic relief out of him. Again. 😤😤😤😤😤 This guy is an iconic villain to me. That time when I was a kid and I watched him transform into a hideous snake, I was legit covering my eyes. He creeps the hell out of me. Shino: What did you do to my amazing cool of a character Shino TT.TT THE CHARACTER DESIGN OF HIM IS REALLY COOL. AND HE'S REALLY COOL. HE DID HIM DIRTY TT.TT Complaint about Kishi: he's right. He doesn't know how to go about female characters. It's hard to understand them and I'm female lol. Such a waste. Good characters and they weren't given enough depth. He's also right that he sucks in doing romance. He didn't have to go all lovey dovey about it. Ex: ShikaTema I just needed to see a solid foundation of a relationship (not necessary lovers but I needed them to have a connection. Direct and real interactions) Not this indirect love and oh this one has feelings for this one. Watch them get together in the end. Like ???????? He mentioned about how he couldn't look at Hinata and Naruto kissing because to him, they're like his children. He should have just done whatever he wanted. I still am unaccepting of Naruto being a crappy father. You mean to tell me he was able to win the hearts of Inari and Konohamaru, but not his own son???? And how he always wanted a family. He would be like this? Are you serious???? And not to mention, Naruto is a child at heart. His voice is even the same all these years. (I'm aware they're kinda okay now but still ) I see now. Kishimoto's weakness in writing. He sees two points and tries to connect them even in the most out of character way possible. I'm aware of many plotholes Kishi did. And Kakashi's character. You mean to tell me he didn't spare a glance at Naruto when he is his sensei's kid even after all the discrimination and hate against Naruto??????? And not to mention, he was able to hold him when he was a baby!!!! Kishi didn't thought his backstory through. He also loves to forget certain characters at the same time information he gave out in the earliest Naruto episodes. Fight scenes that I enjoyed the most: Lee vs Gaara: this is amazing.. no matter how many times I watch this. It's just really cool And all the fights involving Shikamaru What I love about Naruto: Good shit right there. Despite all the complaints above, I love watching this anime. The fight scenes deliver 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌 10/10 And the characters is memorable. Really timeless I love most of the characters there. Although, it could have been better plotwise. I could only sigh and post my thoughts about it. And now my mind is at peace lol
