Malik stood at the base of the temple, a clear sheen of sweat glistened over his dark skin. It had been quite the trek to get out there. This temple was situated in the forest, and not exactly easy to get to. A glance down at his side, he looked at his hilted sword. He would have to sharpen it when he got back home. He had certainly dulled the blade cutting through the brush to get here.

Taking in a deep breath, Malik steadied himself. He just needed a second to ground himself.

He had heard stories of people guarding this temple. Talented fighters, though, he couldn’t see them right now. Perhaps the stories were just a lie. Perhaps this whole thing would just be a false hope. Something he’d curse later for allowing himself to have even the faintest hope in any of this.

“Well the disappointment isn’t going to find itself...” he murmured, starting up the steps. He was cautious with each step he took, a hand resting near to the hilt of his blade as he moved. He had to be careful, just in case there were people inside. Or worse, some sort of forest animal nesting there. Though, when he got to the top of the stairs, he was both relieved and disappointed to see it was empty. “Great...” he murmured, stepping inside and looking around. 

The place didn’t look like much to him. It wasn’t like he was an overly religious type. He stopped believing in a God a long time ago, but when hope sprang up, it always got the better of him. Especially when it involved his younger brother. “Shoulda known that idiot at the restaurant was a lying piece of shit...” he growled, kicking at one of the murals on a wall.

He continued to grumble under his breath, pulling out his pack of cigarettes. He drew one out, placing it between his lips and flicking open his lighter. A long drag of the cigarette was taken as his gaze fell on the mural, carefully breathing out smoke at it. “Waste of a damn trip...”

"Can't say I've ever gotten a birthday gift from the biggest titan ever before...but thank you!" She could see something in the god's hand, so from the distance alone it was probably something huge.

The girl blinked up at Ather owlishly.

"Aren't you a God? Are you allowed to lie to people?" she asked with a tilt of her head as she considered his proposition. "...No. We shouldn't lie. That's bad."

Although maybe Sister Clarity didn't need the whole truth about where she had been either? (That was a problem for future Zinnia.)

When the Vessel accepted the offer and put down his hand for her, the child priestess did not hesitate to clamber up Ather's fingers like a little creature to find a comfortable place in his palm. Zinnia had little care for her robes or looking dignified, but... it took a bit of doing to get up without also rumpling her book.

Once she had settled in a seated position, she called up to the God.

"Okay. I'm ready."

Helios had been watching this one for a while now. Whoever his brother had laid claim on was both safe from the world, and at risk for harm by his brother...

He greeted him with a smile, stepping inside his temple, careful not to scuff dirt inside or the like. He was a respectful god at least. “Sooo... you’re my brother’s new friend, huh?”

Gaze trailing over towards the newly grown flora. Impressive feet to have grown so many but with who has grown them, theres a sliver of worry. From one who barely takes breaks himself, the feathered persona is careful to watch the Titan. Noting the exhaustion in his movements that couldn't be shaked off or how the flora seems just a little to bright then normal. A push to bloom when the sun has yet to offer its help to grow.

The darkened trilling of his voice a mockery of someone trying to convince their partner to come to bed for a bit more than intimacy. Meanwhile a faint sound of something being slowly stretched beyond its limits could be heard in the background. Eerily similar to a pulling method, with cranks and machinery clunking loudly. Hair raising screams follow shortly after. That don't die down but is muffled by a sharply placed gag. "Daddy is a bit tied up with work. I'll try not to stretch this conference meeting too long, my dear Ather. I do wish to return back to your chambers and finish our little game."

A pissed scowl settles on Seto's face as he stares frustratingly at this... person(?).

"Just because I don't believe what you're saying doesn't mean I'm an idiot. Being skeptical is a show of intelligence if anything else," he snapped.

He would say he had a healthy dose of it. Being some gullible dolt being wowed or frightened off by something that can't be explained easily. Yet here he was, once again being berated for not taking things at face value without any questions. All that was missing was Yugi and his groupies.

"...Oh." Zinnia made a startled noise as she bumped into a wall that she had not been expecting to find in her path. A rather warm, and BRIGHT wall. Turning her head up from the rather large book she'd had her nose buried in, the young initiate used a hand to shield her eyes and look up. She was rather surprised to find that the 'wall', despite the size, was rather more human shaped then she had expected. "Uh, Hello?" Oops. She was going to get in a lot of trouble for this, wasn't she? It was startlingly easy for newly initiated children to get lost in a building as large as the Temple of the Vessel, but Zinnia was PARTICULARLY bad about it. Especially with her habit of reading and walking. The rest of the world fell away when her nose was in a good book, and Zinnia had found herself in many an odd location when finally she would look up. This was the first time she had wound up somewhere QUITE as off-limits as their god's personal dwelling space.

"That works out pretty well for me, friend." Vash mumbled noting the clear look of distaste in the others eyes. It wasn't a look he was new to seeing and he held up his hands in a placating manner. "I didn't mean no harm, honest."
