"Lovely, stop. I love this. I very much prefer a night in a hotel room with you over any party."
"Really? Are you sure?"
"Of course I'm sure. Now, where is this room?"
"It's the one right there at the end."
"The big one with the double doors?"
"Yup. Nothing but the best for my girl."
"Wait until you see this view..."

Do you think the scar guy and the blonde lady from Vincent's Circle are involved with the attack on the manor ?
Who turned against Vincent?
These people briefly shown in ch32?
It's possible they were somehow involved with the attack that night, but I sort of doubt it. I also looked at all the faces of the cultists in ch135 through ch138, but I didn't notice his scar, and there's nothing distinguishable about that woman's appearance to look for. I do find it highly suspect, though, that we haven't seen them since this flashback to Vincent's era as watchdog. So, they might have simply broken contact with the Phantomhives since the attack, perhaps in fear of becoming targets for the Phantomhives' enemies, or they might have been killed while this was all going down. If they were cultists and at the sacrifice, they should be dead. It's also possible they were in that cult but, like Kelvin, didn't manage to attend that night.
Of course, let's keep in mind that the fellow with the cap wasn't revealed as young Mr. Pitt until waaayyy after ch32. Now we have a little bit of information about him and Lark Photography studio. Though I feel we are starting to run out of timeline and opportunities for it, Yana-san could still introduce us to these two mysterious people.
I'd like to think Earl Burton is one of the "good guys", and he's interacted with the Phantomhives since our earl returned to the manor, but we haven't heard any mention of him since ch36, when our earl and Sebastian discuss what to do about the children supposedly still at Kelvin's workhouse. Once they discover the workhouse is shut down and in ruins, they don't mention Burton again (that I can find). He might still be an active philanthropist in connection to our earl, just doing stuff in the background, or he might have distanced himself from the Phantomhives after Kelvin's demise.
There are also these two men (also here) who might have turned against the Phantomhives. Just like the mystery man and woman above, these two guys are only (for sure, so far) shown in ch32.
Though I think they would have had more to do with the cult than the initial attack.

A storytelling moment I love in Glass Onion is the throat spray. It works in the metanarrative as an excuse to not have any of the actors wear masks despite the setting, but it works in story too.
We're assuming this is set in late 2020 due to the Among Us popularity, so we're looking at peak first wave pandemic. The fact Miles has a throat spray that can, through some magic, stop the transmission of Covid for at least 4 days at the height of its spread, and the fact that, evidently, he has made no effort to mass distribute it, means either
1. This thing hasn't passed FDA approval and Miles still felt comfortable giving it to his 'friends', foreshadowing his apathy towards regulation and safety standards with Klear.
2. He's a selfish arsehole.

Let’s make one thing clear! Riz would have killed kalvaxus whether that was his dad’s murderer or not. He was working on the case, not because of his tragic backstory, but because he noticed his babysitter went missing, then noticed a bunch of other girls had also gone missing. He was already working the case to start out with because he realized something was up and worked on the case no one else seemed to be paying attention to or caring about. He wanted to figure out the mystery to help those girls.
Riz doesn’t get good adventures because he’s tragic, he gets good adventures because he’s smart and can find connections where no one else can. Because he refuses to give up when he finds a mystery. (to the point where he has a mystery tattooed all over his body)

He did not realize he felt romantic attraction towards Aziraphale for 6000 years ‼️ Crowley thanks cars when he crosses the road, his favorite tv shows are Golden Girls and The Good Place, he makes silly faces at his Angel, he doesn’t want to hurt people, he talks to his car and his plants, he’s down so bad for Aziraphale that he runs his their bookshop for a day, lets him drive his their car and follows Aziraphale around as he Does Shit and Crowley simply watches, smitten. Crowleys idea of evil is glueing coins to the ground and making a Big Road look like a sigil - how fun! He went to a Gas Station only once because he wanted James Bond Bullet Hole Stickers for the Bentley. His name and phone number are in a Call Center Database. He jumps at every opportunity to save Aziraphale. The Bastille in France? No problem let me just stop time for a few moments, Angel. A Church during WW2 because Angel wanted to do some Good but fell into the evil hands of Nazis? Sure yes let me just do a chicken dance down the the aisle because my feet burn because this is literally consecrated ground - what did you say? You don’t like my new name, Angel?☹️

#poorly drawn mdzs#mdzs#lan xichen#jin guangyao#jiang cheng#wei wuxian#qin su#EDIT: Tumblr published an earlier draft with only half the notes I wrote so: late entry on my JGY thoughts.#Unlike the mystic powers of the stockmarket (what the OG meme is referring to) I think this situation calls for more active investigation.#qin su is such a deeply tragic character to me and I really wish we got a bit more from her.#Love everyone who sent me messages about her after the last time she appeared.#I think she needs a spin off of her being a transmigrator SO badly.#MDZS has so many interesting characters - but it sometimes fails to give them the proper room to really develop past a role in the plot.#That's just the consequence of writing a story like MDZS. Not every character in a book *needs* to have a rich inner life and backstory!#To do so would bog down the story and obliterate any notion of pacing. It's just not possible.#Jin Guangyao (nee Meng Yao) is unfortunately not free from this leeway rule. He is the culprit of this murder mystery plot#and thus NEEDS to encapsulate the themes of the book. And personally he's a 7 out of 10 at best on this front (in the AD).#MDZS is about rumours twisting reality and working towards truth. And about how people & situations are rarely ever black & white#JGY has his motivations. He's well written in regards to his actions making sense for his character.#What started as good traits (drive to succeed & improve his image) became twisted over time (do anything to maintain his image)#and it's a good parallel to WWX! He has the same arc (with different traits)! Bonus points for IGY in that regard.#but man....by the time we confront this guy for murder there's not a lot of grey morality. He's just...deep in the hole *he* dug.#There's a beautiful tragedy to it! More on JGY in later comics - this is getting pretty long already!

Thoughts/ some explanations below the cut
It's a little disappointing to me that even though Zero abducts everyone in 999 at night, none of them seem to be in their pj's. So this is what I imagine their pj's (or in some cases, clothes worn around the house) would look like.

Ace's boxer fit is purely vibes based. He just seems like that kinda guy.
Lotus: I tried to bring some of her girl boss energy into her pj's. I imagine she wraps her hair in silk so it doesn't get messed up at night.
Clover just seems like she would chill in an oversized cutesy onesie.
Snake: My historical fashion obsession rears its head. He's wearing a Banyan, which is a European gown/lounge wear from the 1700s based on the Kimono and possibly other Indian robes if I recall correctly. The flower on its sleeve is a Chinese Lantern plant. He's holding a chamber candle stick as well. His cap is just based on stereotypical goofy historical pjs, just for fun.
Junpei: I couldn't bring myself to remove what I saw as some of the most iconic parts of Junpei's original design so I just remixed them. Instead of a flannel shirt he's wearing flannel pajama pants and instead of "bisexual sneakers" he's wearing one bisexual slipper (the other one got lost). I was originally intending to give him a generic college or baseball tee but while I was replaying through Ai the Somnium files I spotted the 999 reference by Sunfish Pocket and thought it would be fun to give him an old Lemniscate shirt instead.
June: She has to be wearing purple. Her fashion sense seems to be very natural, with a lot of knitting and textile ornamentation which lead me to think she'd probably wear a nice, simple cotton nightgown. And the bunny slippers are a little nod to her backstory.
Santa: You know, I just get the impression that Santa sleeps in the same clothes he wears in the game. And with a build like that he's definitely getting enough sun to have some embarrassing tan-lines.
Seven: Again, kinda like Santa, I get the feeling his pajamas could be the same clothes he wears in the game. But the shower sandals are a must.
Guy 9: There just wasn't enough for me to go off of for him. So I deleted him :) Sorry. He blew up.
