If I were a cartoon review youtuber, some of my videos would definitely be:
Underrated Animated films you should see vol. 1 - ongoing
Complete look at Skunk Fu! and all it's episodes
What's ACTUALLY wrong with Illumination films (spoiler: it's not the designs). And that video would probably have a sequel ironically unironically accusing Chris Meladandri of being a White Walker who rips out movies' souls.
Disturbing Animated Film Iceberg.
A calming, sweet short retrospective on The World of Peter Rabbit and Friends.
Killing off the idea of "endgame". Tho, tbf, I'm definitely going to be writing that thesis statement down someday. I guess in video format it'd be a big "did this series REALLY fall off cuz the creator catered to fans?" breakdown of a few shows.
A video about 9. Because of course I'd make something about 9.
Politically heavy (but not horror) animated films.
An essay explaining the difference between what I want to see in a story vs what's actually good in a story; and likewise the difference between what I personally do/don't find offensive and what's objectively offensive as a viewer.
The dichotomy and standards between different talking animal films.
A review about Mary and Max and why I like it but it's okay if other autists don't. which would be a broader video about how to listen to the opinions of demographics and minorities and not to treat any one as a hivemind.
Movies that I dislike but aren't actually bad.
Movies I love that aren't really all that good.
A deeper dive on my take that Steven Universe was always deeply flawed but having an otherwise working ending; where Star vs was a well-written show that utterly biffed it on the ending.
The Swan Princess is secret conservative propaganda.
The 31 dumbest things in Oogies Revenge.
Zero's Journey is the only good TNBC continuation.
13 Horror animated Feature Films. For Halloween, of course...
My issue with Dreamworks' stans and why I dislike How to Train You Dragon 2.
My issues with Anti v Proshipping. Def would be a multi part series explaining why I think most of the problem is just people really aggresively bulling one another -AND THEN, getting into heinous fandom shit that no one talks about and the ethics of children online and freedom of expression.
Prolly then would make an exclusive (cuz it's dirty) review abt the rights of r34 and adult artists and what they had to/have to put up with both from peers and websites banning explicit material.
What absolutely doesn't work about Pocahontas and Anastasia.
I'd do a series called "Spitball Re-haul" wherein I go through a revisioned show's premise and then explain all the reasons for the changes. I'd make:
How I'd rewrite The Owl House season 3.
How I'd rewrite Star vs the Forces of Evil "Cleaved".
How I'd rewrite Strange Magic.
How I'd rewrite Raya and the Last Dragon.
How I'd rewrite Seasons 4-8 of Friendship is Magic.
My tinfoil hat video on Disney trying to profit so much off of fans is hurting their bases.
Mapping out and analyzing different types of crossover fiction, their merits and their issues with story-keeping.
Mythological and cultural animated films.
and finally, for when I'd muster up the strength:
an HBomberGuy-type callout/deepdive into MysteriousMrEnter and Lily Orchard and how they've made cartoon reviews worse.

It's kinda funny seeing people treat Helluva boss as if it's just fuck words, as if that's even a remote importance to actually anything.
It's not critical, it's just petty. As petty as just saying fuck. It's okay, your parents won't punish you for saying words anymore. Creation isn't yours to own or manipulate, and, best part, there's an actual avalanche, just a steamboat willy of alternative shows to watch that don't say fuck words.
Why this show is treated like fuck words matter I'll genuinely never know, all I see is MysteriousMrEnter tier critique against the show however, and it's always top tier embarrassing.
It's okay to not like a show for petty reasons, but to use those petty reasons as why the show is "just bad" is overwhelmingly telling that you yourself understand nothing of art, but know all the child-level arguments that can be thrown at just about any show with a pinch of lacing critical thinking.

Any hopes I had for a Super Mario Movie were dead the moment it was announced Illumination was making it, sorry.
Illumination films (and Bluesky before that) are basic and hollow in a way that's just really insulting to me. Keep in mind I do unironic art of cereal mascots. I'm not immune to corporate marketing!! Even the most obscure indie stuff has to sell.
You know how some people rate modern Disney films by the merit of the original concept art because that always looks cooler even if there's no guarantee that the story would be any good or better than the finished product? I hate that so much. Same face syndrome+boring style+so-so writing+whatever you dislike about them aside; you can't ever say the writers behind those films aren't trying (minus Wreck it Ralph 2: I aint watching That. No not even if Comfortable Doug is in it). Hate it all you want for how oversaturated it is by the higher ups, but Frozen did try.
Illumination's films feel like the entire movie is governed by suits. They feel so calculated. So held back. They never push any boundaries not because the writers don't want to, but because the filmmakers can't allow anything too 'edgy'. You can't say the same for the Sony films or for even Dreamworks' 2000s catalogue. Those movies could be trainwrecks but I kinda prefer the edge of something like Bee Movie to the nothingburger of something like Sing. Why this is so sad to me is, simply put, there are writers behind these movies. There's absolutely art and imagination. It's not like working on Illumination makes you some kind of hack.
Secret Life of Pets and Sing feel like cute, safe ideas when you look at them in concept. They wouldn't blow people away ever but they would have been something...and then they were nothing because Chris Meledandri is a hack who thinks jangling keys is the substance of a good movie because he's only ever good at selling movies, not thinking of them. Despicable Me was actually the creation of Sergio Pablos, the guy who directed Klaus. Sergio had ideas and you can really feel in the script and in the concept for everything Despicable Me 1 is. Even the gags are really inspired, I think. I remember this old video that was just "Minions but without Minions" and it was a billion times more watchable than any of the full movies because you could tell where and what comic timing and detail the writers put into their work...and it all feels so wasted on the Minions. I like Illumination's artstyle. I keep seeing other critics of their films call them the most increative, worst designers in the world and I think that's so unfair. The robber family who picks up the minions in Minions have fine, designs, Ralphthemoviemaker. You're just being a pissy pants because you don't like the style.
I've literally never cared for/about Super Mario in any capacity and never care to. Details of what the characters should be matter not if you can make anything out of it. Just seeing some people push this narrative of "you have to like this movie because it's made to make you feel good and be" (no joke, I saw someone on twitter literally preaching that) makes me actively resent this film by association. I'm sorry but no. Don't you dare. Don't you dare wag your finger at me and tell me I'm not allowed to complain about something being subpar and irritating just because it was made to 'entertain' and clearly did that for you.
Am I making entire hate blogs over this that are just an echo chamber for other butthurt fauxcritic-cry babies? Am I posting cringe compilations and laughing at unironic fans? Am I bullying kids for their hyperfixation the way I still see people do with Frozen and Teen Titans Go? If the answer is "no" - cope. I don't like your feel good movie. Get it away from me.
It feels so hyperbolic --like, MysteriousMrEnter level hyperbolic, I mean-- but Chris Miladandri doesn't care about the films he produces and neither do their directors or overseers of story. Every Illumination film and Bluesky property deserved better than what this man expected of and made out of them.

If you're still questioning about how a charachters appears from nowhere and is always capable of helping and saving the day being a humoristic sidekick then the only explanation is this: a secret organization for good guys who cooperate to make things better than anywhere and anytimes else. The chief of this interdimensional movement is a dog, since they're the most modest, whose also the best love of the life of a certain royal siamese cat. Wallace initially didn't wanted to go too far with helping but Ava felt bad that he and his stray friends came to another dimendion just for her so he wanted to show there was nothing to be sorry about, they made the HQ with the help of the gormiti, located living beings that could do like Kate did for them and so they as responsible royal couple could make not only a world but the whole multiverse a better place, at least in 1 timeline. The agents are chosen by being the ones with the most pure heart as noone have, so heartful that they're sad about not telling their friends from other worlds about this job. If you wonder where some helpful people are in moment of tragedies remember it's my au so another timeline where almost none of the episodes plots with a ridiculous reason happen. #heroliberyccorp #ignotectorverse #drawing #drawings #drawingart #digitalart #gormiti2018 #heraldsofgorm #lordelectryon #wallacexava #puppyinmypocket #goodorganization #interdimensional #ratchetandclankplumber #luxord #johnwick #spongeontherun #thewardrobeskinny #guardiansofthegalaxyps5 #marvelguardiansofthegalaxy #mysteriousmrenter #agents #codename https://www.instagram.com/p/ClI5xO8IuUU/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Me: You know, as much as I love Legend of Korra, I’ll admit it’s not perfect, and has it’s flaws. If someone doesn’t like it, and can’t get enjoyment out of it because of said flaws, then that’s perfectly okay.

Amazingly, people are STILL buying into MrEnter’s lies!  Don’t let yourself be fooled by how he manipulates the episode and leaves out certain details!

Who’s Your Favorite Youtuber?
Mine is the Mysterious Mr. Enter; he gives me a lot of insight into how other people view some of the animated movies/tv shows I like/dislike (For example, I liked Norm of the North and disliked Meet the Robinsons, and vice versa), and overall I think he’s a great Youtuber.
Who’s your favorite?

I’d like to thank MysteriousMrEnter for giving all us Americans this weird bonding moment of lolz related to 9/11.
It’s so strange legit remembering where we were that day all to relate this back to a bad rancid, totally-not racist take on Turning Red.

Buncha MysteriousMrEnters in the HH/HB critical tag. Took me a while to find it, but that's EXACTLY what it is. And why I can't possibly take it seriously even when trying. It's emotional firsts, morality second, nonsensical justifications third. All. The. Time.

ediblenonsense replied to your post: I play a dangerous game
maybe check the comments before time just in case???? im not sure if that helps…..
it potentially could, but most comments are probably about what the video is actually about, rather than a small comparison made to prove a point. see, the thing is like.... even people just saying the name of the movie can make me start to have a mild panic attack, and full out images from it are bound to trigger nightmares. and yet, i love watching this person absolutely rip apart shark tale and expose it for the garbage it is, so like... i’m willing to take the risk.

Wait, WHAT about teratos and potatoes??
No, no, I just say 'Because... Potatoes' as a brush off for when people want to dig too deeply into something.
I stole it from MysteriousMrEnter.

unpopular opinion but i do not think all adult animated shows are as bad as y’all are making them out to be. like every week there’s a tweet saying how they wished more adult animated shows had deeper stories and plots and weren’t like ugly and that just shows you guys don’t fucking watch/look at any adult cartoons that aren’t like popular.
i hear the term “ugly” animation thrown around a lot and i can never understand what people mean by that? like obviously family guy ripoff 768 has a shitty animation style but like something that looks generic isn’t always like the worst thing on planet earth. like i know a lot more children’s cartoons are becoming more and more stylized and unique looking but so are adult animated shows? like it’s obvious you don’t consume any other adult media besides the ones that are very popular.
(also personal preference but “ugly” cartoons are like fine lmao. as long as a show is good, i can personally overcome an “ugly” looking animation style)
also, this was a generation who grew up on spongebob which was mainly comedy. not every fucking show has to have a deeper story and plot. i know everyone really enjoys steven universe but it’s not for everyone, and it really shouldn't be like the main standard for all animated shows. don’t get me wrong! i love shows like su and i think using animation to tell a story is one of the best ways to do so, but shows can also be mainly comedic as well. a lot of my favorite shows are mainly comedic and have a very small semblance of a plot and that’s okay. not everyone wants to watch a show that has all these plot threads and things to consider, sometimes i just want to hear funny jokes: it’s a matter of preference. just because you don’t like the jokes in one show doesn’t mean they’re all bad. that sounds like a you problem.
it’s not all sex and saying fuck all the time lol (which is funny because everyone recommends hazbin hotel as the best adult animated show when that’s the only humor they have) and even then saying fuck is funny and hearing a joke about weed won’t fucking kill you.
also there are adult animated shows with a heavy reliance on plot and character development. like again. obvious you don't actually look for good shows out there.
i understand there’s a lot of garbage out there. like for years family guy dominated the market, and many other shows tried to emulate that style ( and nowadays family guy ripoffs aren’t as common as they used to be) and big mouth is a whole other can of worms that i don’t even want to open, but it’s not all bad.
also. let’s like stop fucking generalizing a whole medium shall we? it’s getting really fucking tired at this point. you dont see me calling all children’s shows garbage because of teen titans go (which btw there were also a lot of garbage childrens show is why there were so many cartoon rantsonas who complained about spongebob, lest we forget mysteriousmrenter) no one judges the whole children’s genre based on that, so why do it here? like start looking for shows. ask for recommendations from people. find a show that works for you.
to make a long story short (and my rambling more precise lmao); wanting a higher quality of cartoons is fine. hell i want better cartoons, and i don’t think people who enjoy adult animation wouldn’t disagree with you. however,  if you insist every adult animated show is a family guy ripoff or just offensive schlock you aren’t looking hard enough.
(also not related to anything here but don’t recommend children’s shows like su to me. im 20. im not a kid, im an adult and i want content for me. also if you recommend rwby or camp camp as a good adult cartoon, ill bite your fucking ankles off. finally, you aren’t special for liking children’s animation as an adult a lot of people do so. yeah)
