not nearly enough gifs of XIAO HUA (4/∞)
(id: two gifs of xie yuchen from episode nine of the lost tomb 2. the first shows him turning towards the viewer with a slight frown that deepens a little. in the second one his expression has turned to surprise, and he chuckles. there's a slight blue-pink-white gradient at the outer edges. end id)

i find wu xie’s relationship to xiao ge and hxz so interesting specifically because of his failures of empathising with them & the way in which he comments on their loneliness and how different they are from other people, how they seem inhuman to him, how even in TSF he doesn't know if xiao ge and him are even friends... it's such an interesting take on friendships between mortals and immortals

Money rules tomb raiding; money was why Pangzi first started. Getting richer has always been the goal of every expedition — and then the Seven Star Lu Palace, and the underwater tomb, and Wu Xie who has such strong feelings and never seems to hold any of them back. Wu Xie who survives on luck and a good heart and is the antithesis to what Pangzi has come to know. Has anything ever mattered to him this way, the way Wu Xie believes in things with his whole heart?
or: a trip to myanmar, a budding love growing deeper, and big and little sacrifices easily made. a little fic belatedly finished for pangzi birthday week 2023 ♥
read on ao3!
