2. Who is your favourite fictional character and why?

Ooooooh, what a question! *strangled noises, hand wringing* I have so many, it’s impossible to choose, so we’ll go with one of my all-time faves: John Wick. I love him because he’s the ultimate antihero. He worked so hard to leave a life of crime and wicked deeds behind him, but the second he feels he has nothing left to lose (or a less forgiving read: the second he has an excuse), he goes right back to his old ways and lets the life consume him. He’s cold-blooded, he’s vulnerable, he’s skilled, he’s reckless, he’s sick and twisted, he’s conflicted. He’s seen the light, but he’s most comfortable living in darkness. He’s my special boy and I love him so much and I am always rooting for him. Also he’s hot!

10. Do you have a favourite classic novel?

Oh absolutely- I have several! If I had to narrow it down to my top 3 (brutal!), I’d have to say Erich Maria Remarque’s All Quiet on the Western Front, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, & Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings (yeah yeah it’s a trilogy shhh, it counts as one big novel). But! I’d be remiss in not mentioning Camus’ L’Étranger, which is technically a novella, but I’ve read my copy so many times the spine literally disintegrated.

14. What is your opinion on poetry?

I devour it! I love reading it, I love writing it, I have since I was a kid - in fact, writing poetry was my gateway drug to writing other things.

18. Chai tea or hot chocolate?

Chai tea; sadly hot chocolate is too sugary for me (though I do love a sip or two on occasion, and maybe a mocha once in a while).
