I used to have many fandom ocs back in the day, it tended to be a way for me to delve deeper in my favorite parts of the stories I loved deeply.
Nowadays, I don’t really make those anymore (though I still love my old fandom ocs dearly). I’m more into making ocs with stories of their own! For these, I normally get inspired by either dynamics that I read/saw somewhere, by the vibes of an established character I like, by the idea of something I haven’t explored before but has always appealed to me, etc, etc.
It depends everytime, but the one constant is that inspiration always comes from something that I feel strongly about in that moment! From there, I work on the worldbuilding — but I always start by making a couple of characters I like, and not the other way around. (I’m very fond of character driven stories, haha.)

They do have a story! They were supposed to be background characters of a big universe of mine, but I got too attached to them, and now they have their own spinoff (in my head haha)
I wanted to draw little scenes of them in comic format, just short snippets for the fun of it. I don’t know how much lore those will have though, because I tend to enjoy drawing fluff and romantic scenes a lot. I’ll see about it!

Hello!! The sketchbook I use is the Midori Cotton sketchbook in F2 size! It’s more square-like, and very comfy for me! It’s the second time in a row I use this sketchbook, it’s my personal favorite.
Also, I’m so happy to hear you like my art so much! And thanks for the nice wishes for my (still dead) computer haha
