Milestone Thank You Post

So I hit a pretty significant milestone the other day, I wasn’t gonna make one of these but I haven’t in the past and I think it’s important to thank those who’ve made my time on Tumblr so wonderful.

It’s been a helluva 2.5 years and while I haven’t been the most productive of contributors, I wanna thank all those followers who stuck with me nonetheless, and if you joined me further down the road, thank you to you, too. I hope you’ll all enjoy what I’ve got planned this year. I want to thank you for more than merely supporting my reading, though. It's been a while since I've written a personal post and things have changed quite a bit, so here goes.

Everything is awesome. I wonder if a little bit of it is mania, but honestly? like? wow? Let's talk about the stuff that blows my mind first. It's just so amazing.

I've got a new roommate. She was having trouble living with her sister who didn't accept her as trans and was abusing her emotionally and verbally while taking advantage of her financially and in other ways. I told her she could move in literally whenever because fuck that noise, and she finally did a few months after I offered. It took a while because, like me, she was hypnotized by her abusers into thinking she owed them some kind of courtesy. She pays her half of rent with no problem, bought us $100 in groceries today, bought me a birthday present and promised to get me another thing because I made the mistake of saying I liked something else that I saw and it was only $10 (Sylveon plushie; favorite Pokemon). She treats me like a human being and helps with the chores as well, helps keep me on task and motivated while I work, and is actually pleasant to be around. She doesn't try to hurt me just for the fuck of it, she doesn't pick fights with me when she's mad at other people, she doesn't throw tantrums when asked to do things---

like what the fuck, it's actually nice to live with someone. It's actually possible to live with someone and not feel like shit because of said person's abuse and manipulation.

All of my clothes are too big, like comically so. I was walking inside and saw my reflection in the glass on the door and didn't recognize it being me and for a full minute, I was like holy shit that person is super skinny-- holy shit, that person is me. All of a sudden I realized my clothes are all huge, so much so that they hang off my body.

like wow, I've been in a safe environment since November and I look good. I've lost a lot of weight. It's not diet either, because I'm sitting here with a bowl of cheese tortellini with cheesey alfredo sauce and parmesan cheese drizzled on top like I want to have a heart attack tomorrow, if at all possible.

I've been making money through various means, but I'm supporting myself on sewing stuff and writing articles right now. My personal business is taking off.

I've got a cutie patootie boyfriend. He comes to visit me every weekend and we hang out and shit. We talk every day in between and he's so sweet I just? wow? He doesn't get tired of me. He doesn't force me to do things I don't want to. He asks how my days are going and inspires me to continue working and making more and more $$$. He takes me to cons, we went to Colossalcon together and we're hitting another few before (and as well as) Colossal East in September. He accepts me and he cherishes me. It's so strange, especially the part where he doesn't manipulate or abuse me. He doesn't do nice things only when he wants something in return. I don't have to be on guard around him, like I'm about to be attacked or pushed at any moment. It's wonderful though.

He drives an hour to see me and has since before we started dating. I'm worth the effort. He took me out for a fancy dinner on my birthday too.

I'm talking in general with both my new roommate and my boyfriend about moving closer to him. He lives in a bigger city anyway, which means a higher minimum wage rate for Addy (who works at a chain place and can therefore get a job at a location in our new home city) and easier transactions with my business. Living in a bigger city means more people who might be interested in my stuff are close enough to do face to face transactions, and I'm going to be selling at cons soon as well. Con goers are likely to be repeat customers, so again, bigger city is better. And it means I'll either be moving in with my boyfriend too or moving in somewhere close to him. He's actually looking at apartments on Sunday just to check things out.

As long as everything keeps progressing as it has been, things will continue to be absolutely fantastic. I haven't been this happy in like five or six years. Maybe a little longer than that.
