I like to post art of my own OC's, fanart of other people's OC's and fanart of my favourite characters too, I also take art requests when they're open!

The common thread is that 86% of these were memes posted to 4chan's /co/ board. When I WAS. A YOUNG MAN. I just liked whatever I saw other people posted cuz i couldn't form my own opinions yet. I think that's just a general age thing, as you get older you hone your personal tastes more, whether it's books or yuri or food, and it's less satisfying to wait around at the buffet for other people's tastes.

It's a lil interesting how much easier it was to just let other people feed me things to enjoy. Now that I'm older and pickier, I have to proactively seek very specific tastes and sometimes make dishes for myself!

Some thoughts on thots:

Slade/Robin: This is like, baby's first "dark ship". Lots of 8 yr olds saw the Apprentice episode, and pogged out cuz of the evil groomy tension. Then you get all the 8 yr olds posting their dark yaoi on deviantart LMAO.

The default back then (And still now?) is evil daddy dom Slade making poor widdle babby Robin cry. I didn't have particular tastes back then in regards to that ship cuz I was 8 and just followed what was popular LOL. In [current year], I only like the pairing if Slade gets his anus slapped and slorped by the dude he tried to groom. What can I say, I get older and the old gnarsty dudes keep getting older too...!

Also, I'm really shocked that new people are getting into this pairing because of Teen Titans Go's chibi Robin. It's time to bring chad manlet Dick to public consciousness!!!

Kefka/Terra: 👴 Back in my day, I did not see any FF6 shippy stuff on the internet at all. The doujins and fanart were mostly for the FF7 and above 3d games. So this was something I thought up for myself while playing the game, without any outside influence... incredible for a kid I must say! The dynamic is "evil clown grooms psychic girl into a MAGITEK WEAPON". It's really funny how things change, I wouldn't find interest in that dynamic now :p But I understand why a depressed edgy 10 year old (me) would find that interesting to explore.

Everyone/Vincent Valentine: I just thought Vincent was cute! I still like goth dudes who look like ladies with long hair (Who also turn into monsters). I tried to get into ships proper for Vincent, like Sephiroth/Vincent, Cloud/Vincent, Cid/Vincent.. but none of them really struck my fancy. I didn't really care for their character dynamics. I just liked Vincent LOL. So my favorite doujin I found when I was a wee lad was a monster x Vincent manga, cuz Vincent was cute :3c That segues into the other side of the fujo spectrum: A lot of my fannish thoughts when I was a kid (and even now) was based on having one favorite character and just wanting to see them look awesome and hot and cool and sexy. I think that's actually more related to gay manga culture than fujoshi culture, where gay manga can commonly just focus on one guy getting gangbanged with no emotional pairing necessary.

I could live with just seeing sexy Green Goblin and never shipping him with anyone else, ya know? And I'd be happy just drawing my sexy Senspai without any annoying Scunts around. The annoying younger halves of my pairings are often just projection opportunities, ya know? But I don't have the mental ability to do self-inserts because I have no conception of self.

Harvey Dent/Joker: Hey, when you're a kid and the new Batman movie comes out, you get sucked into it! You can see this in action with all the new Riddler fans cuz of the edward cullen batman movie! Nurse Joker was a huge meme on /co/ when this movie came out, and as the joke says.. /co/ is gay. And probably full of closet fujos. I had no emotional connection to this pairing, or even thoughts on their interactions, but I have quite a bit saved of these two on my computer. Plus I stole a lot of Aaron Eckhart's Harvey for my character Angus. Blonde and buttchin!

Riddler/Scarecrow: Again with the new Batman movie at the time, this time reviving interest in characters that weren't even in the movie! I liked Cillian Murphy's Scarecrow even though he only gets 5 minutes total of screentime in all 3 Nolan movies combined. Because I like girly men with killer cheekbones and kissy lips. I also REALLY enjoyed Jeffrey Comb's voiceover for BTAS Scarecrow. And Frank Gorshin Riddler was also a beloved meme on /co/.

I don't remember what the dynamic even was between these two. I just remember a small imageboard split off from /co/ for just Batman yaoi at the time, and this being a popular ship. Sometimes I wish it could be this easy for me to get into media and enjoy it with random strangers again LOL.

Kaiba/Yami Yugi: I loved Yugioh as a kid. This was one of the most popular ships, so as a kid you're just ecstatic that so much art and writing and fans existed for this one thing. You never starve, even if you don't have especially strong feelings for the food! Kaiba/Yami is still pretty cool to my adult brain though. I love the obsessiveness of Kaiba, and Yami is just an eternal waifu.

Malik/Yami Bakura: You can blame the abridged series for this one! Yaoi bait begets yaoi bait. This falls under the "dumbass x grumpy" archetype that I still enjoy. No especially strong feelings for this one, though I do have more modern headcanons of Malik, Rishid, and Bakura living together in a strange poly-angle. It's just cute!

Sniper/Spy: Ah, TF2chan.. a place where dreams live and die. Sniper, Spy, and Scout were part of the cursed twink trio on that chan. REAL MEN liked MANLY ships like Heavy/Medic, Demo/Soldier, or Soldier/Engie. You're a gay stupid yaoi fangirl if you liked any combination of Sniper/Spy!!! Jokes on them, I liked pretty much every pairing for TF2 back in Tha Day.

TF2 truly was a milestone in the fujo pipeline, from anime twinks to middle-aged slightly more naturalistic twinks to finally burly hyper testosterated manly men. We can blame the SSS twink trio for helping many transition (And I mean that in every way of the word 😜).

I think now I'm just sick of anything TF2. Reminds me too much of assholes and shitfucks! The transition of TF2 from edgy gamer chan culture, to tumblrites, to twitter geeks... eugh. I only care about fearless Scout/Spy allies :)

Superman/Batman: Hey, it's the NaruSasu of superhero ships! I have a lot of these two saved on my hard drive from my /co/ days. Once again, because gay art of these two was posted constantly as a meme. When the "straight dudes" on the edgy imageboard acknowledge the inherent homoeroticism of a pairing, it's validated in the young fujo's eyes. (cuz what girls like is stinky? and what men like is cool and real? lol lots to unpack) Still think this one is cute! I'm not AS invested in this as some people are as an endgame OTP that gets married and love each other ONLY, but it falls under the genki x grumpy archetype that I enjoy. It's a good relationship for Bruce to have and ruin!

Deadpool/Cable: Ah, the final channer-approved pairing. Complete with channer-approved fanart and pornography I still have on my hard drive! I might actually have the most art of them together saved out of all these ships...They had a comic together called Cable and Deadpool. Deadpool flirts with Cable and dreams about putting lotion on Cable's bare back (heh). What's not to like? Still cute, still genki x grumpy! Again, not an invested endgame ship for me right now, but certainly something I'm grateful to have enjoyed and shared with Shane :) Especially having enjoyed this before the Deadpool movie came out, and before all the weird fucked up Waid comics! I WAS HERE FIRST!!!!!!

Since I've been on tumblr for several years now, I have a bad habit of forgetting my own personal tagging system and just creating a new one, leading to plenty of related posts having different tags. This is a problem both for me (who uses her tumblr to store things she likes, with intentions of finding them later) and for anyone looking through my blog who has certain tags blocked but not others.

So I've been trying to go through some of my more prominent interests and fixing the tags so things are easier to find or block. Right now I'm trying to sort out my tags for ygo posts and having to deal with exactly how many there are...

Steve and Ghost head to Mexico to try and escape the memories of New Orleans for a little longer but end up in yet more trouble.

2. Waiting for Euphoria (Yuri!!! On Ice, Victuuri, 66.2k, rated Mature)

Yuuri Katsuki and his flatmate Phichit Chulanont are broke ex-students who are facing the retail hell of the holidays while trying to break into the competitive arenas of entertainment. After a mistake with a Wanted advert, Yuuri ends up auditioning for a style of dance that is most certainly not ballet and as it turns out...he's kinda good at it! However, trying to keep his night-work separate from the rest of his life becomes a damn near impossible task when the Mr. Perfect who comes to his store regularly starts showing up at the club and seems to take a shine to his stage persona!

3. Fearfully Longing (Yu-Gi-Oh!, Thief Queen Bakura/Isis Ishtar, 32.6k, rated Explicit)

In Ancient Egypt as the thief Bakura attacks with intent to steal the millennium items, she is distracted by the Priestess Isis and the two develop an interesting relationship. But what will happen when push comes to shove? (Started as a PWP, turned into a story)

Jiang Cheng, Nie Huaisang and their adventures with ink - both accidentally and on purpose!

WIP Title Tag Game

I've done this game in the past, you see. It took me more than an hour to list all my WIP folders and the titles of the documents therein. Since that day, I've collected even more WIPs.

Rules (updated 5/5/2022):

This blog is a side blog of @mpuzzlegirl, so likes, comments, and follow backs from mpuzzlgirl relating to rp stuff is me. Asks will have the signature of “[compassinatedestiny]” and will be on anon, unless anon is turned off.

I am oc friendly, and crossover friendly. I am very flexible with my muses, so I am more than willing to bend some things of their backstories and personalities to fit the needs of a crossover series/thread, just shoot me a message if you are interested. I am familiar with YGO and most of it’s spinoffs, FMA (both 03 and Brotherhood), Soul Eater, and Demon Slayer/KnY, and Pokemon. I have specified verse versions of my muses for the previously listed franchises.

This is a multi-muse blog, my default muse is Isabel. However, if I feel either of my other muses are better suited for first time interactions, I will use Carmon, Setanta, or Scheza as a lead.

Shipping is not a requirement with me, I will not pressure or force anyone into ships. My muses tend to be attracted to chemistry based ships. If you are interested in shipping with either Isabel or Carmon, please message me! I’d be happy to figure something out.

I don’t write smut, it’s just not my thing. I’m okay with implied/fade to black transitions in thread. I can rp: violence, mild abuse, and some gore. Will not rp: rape, incest, and sexual abuse. I will tag triggers as “#tw:__”

RPing is a hobby for me, and sometimes my replies will be slow at times. And sometimes none of my muses want to cooperate or my own energy is low, so I ask that you be patient with me. I switch between paragraph format or one line responses, but I try to match what my partner has contributed.

I occasionally do drawing memes/post art specifically on this blog as a way of stress relief and some fun, but I have been taken advantage of in the past where people have only interacted with this blog for art and haven’t made an attempt to rp with me. This kind of one sided interaction is very hurtful and discouraging, so while I will not force someone to rp with me, please do not only follow for free art. If you are interested in more of my artist works, I post almost all my work on my main blog.

I am not a meme source, please do not treat me like one.

General rules of rp: no GodModing, no ooc harassment, respect when I say “no” and I will respect yours too, I will do my best to trim threads if I am on desktop, and if I make a mistake either in thread or ooc, please talk to me in DM. My DMs are always open.

sksksk I’ve been meaning to do some more YGO and well thanks to precious baby @makeusfreefromthisfandom (THIS GOES OUT TO YOU BB) I’ve brought forth my passion to write for the first ‘anime’ I fell head over heels for. Yami Yugi will always have a special spot in my heart SKSKKS, but DSOD Kaiba? The animations???? Y’ALL.

Dramatic and one who won’t succumb immediately to his emotions, Seto Kaiba will literally avoid confronting his own emotions. Especially if it’s clear that despite his personal agenda, his heart has other plans.

When he first meets them, he thinks of them as nothing more than a 3rd rate duelist. (Throwback anyone?) Though it shouldn’t surprise many as he considers most, if not all that he duels against aren’t worth his time or air.

This changes though as the assumption of being a third rate duelist weaves into an unwanted rival. One who had skills that could’ve possibly gone up against Bakura or Marik in their prime; and for that he’s interested. A constant keep of tabs and self reflecting to further improve his skills.

Though of course the young CEO doesn’t expect his heart nor mind to slowly begin to weave them into his life in the way he least expects. Sudden dinner parties and unexpected lunch dates with him are excused as chances to observe his rival, when really he was enjoying the time he spent with them.

Mokuba is the one who takes this new change in happy stride as he not only shares this information with his own friends (the good ol’ gang), but with his own brother. After all, if the younger Kaiba knew anything about his older brother, it was that he could be completely dense to his own feelings.

It comes to the surprise of no one when the elder Kaiba adamantly refuses his feelings for them, yet that soon came to change after an almost fatal accident.

Word had gotten out of their affiliation with Kaiba, and not only had they been stalked and almost physically beaten to death, but was being threatened by his competitors. When this news came to Seto, best believe that he not only demanded them to stay and live with him, but that he’d look into the whole situation himself.

Seto only finally comes to terms with his emotions when they try to keep him safe from an attempt on his life. One that of course, ended in a physically draining duel. It’s then that Seto realizes how much turmoil and pain his heart went through at seeing their exhausted and weak form.

His confession is nothing short but over the top. Extravagant and eye catching, they can’t help but find it all endearing.

You soon come to learn that Kaiba is not the best at expressing his emotions. Rather put, he isn’t great at properly executing the emotions he truly feels. Majority of the time, you learn that it’s all hidden underneath a facade. A mask to keep those unwanted out.

It’s only behind closeed doors that you truly can see who he is as a person, and it’s nothing short but adorable.

He’s clearly passionate in what he does and loves to improve on everything he can. You think nothing of it at first, but soon you begin to realize the ways that he’s incorporating you into his passion. With your feedback and recommendations, you find that the tournaments and latest tech have your recommendations and ideas implemented.

You understand very quickly that he has insomnia, and spends a majority of his nights awake whilst going through his deck or left over paperwork. Though it isn’t the best, you find that Seto to be the most affectionate and cat like. With how he ends up curling up and snuggling up to you after an exhausting night, you can’t help but feel that swell of love build in your heart.

Despite not being physically affectionate, Seto is very clear with his feelings for you. He’ll notice the little things you need or desire and within the day or by the end of the week it would be set up and done for you.

You mention a cafe or restaurant you want to try out? He’s already booked the location for the next date night you both have. An interest in traveling? He has tickets ready for you both to explore to your hearts content.

Make no mistake though, even though he’s not the most affectionate he does show it in those rare little moments. Be it holding your hand as you both walk the streets. Or his hand resting at the small of your back as you both check in on duelists during a tournament, and in more private settings he’d gently caress your cheek while observing your sleeping features in the early morning.

Guess who's still alive I guess?

Wow, it's been a thousand and one years since the last time I posted on any form of social media. But here I am I guess??

I don't even know how many (if any) of my friends and/or mutuals are still following my dead blog, but if anyone happens to still be around then hello! I wont get into all the details as it's a very long story, but I basically took an extended hiatus from pretty much all social media and to extent, most of the internet itself. But long story short, I do intend to return to using this blog relatively soon! Putting the rest of this below the cut in case it gets longer than I planned. (spoiler alert: It did)

Over the last couple of months I have slowly been dipping my toes back into the chaos and it seems like it's been going mostly well so far. I've been quietly lurking through my dashboard for a little bit now and every time I do I always find I feel a pull in my heart, and I decided to take that as a sign that not only was I ready to return to my online presence, but maybe that I was even starting to miss it.

It should go without saying that in the, what... probably several years it's been now? Since I've been away I've obviously changed as a person. I've always advertised my blog as being a personal blog, but even so it seemed like eventually most of my content and interactions became related solely to Yu-Gi-Oh. I just wanted to take this moment to be very clear that while I still love and appreciate the ygo fandom, I have a lot more different interests than I had back then and I fully intend to run my blog as a true personal blog, not a fandom specific blog.

If you only followed me for ygo art/content and aren't interested in seeing personal art/content or content from other fandoms then this is your chance to unfollow if you don't want to see that. I totally understand your choice to do so and by no means take it personally! Otherwise anyone who wants to stick around is more than welcome to join me in my madness, haha.

So TL;DR: I'm probably coming back to this blog and getting back on my shit again, but be prepared to see a lot more personal art and content than before. Also I'll post another warning a few days from now just in case any of my mutuals are still around and want to catch up, but I'll be changing my URL to some variation of my new online tag.

3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Baby Dragon - jurassic park if it was a romcom

Liking You and Me - this one is one of the earliest kaijou fics i wrote (besides the one i deleted), and i don’t even know if i like it anymore... but i get frequent kudos and comments so i guess it’s good!

In Awe of Flowers - they don’t even kiss!!! also @jadenvargen drew me a comic in the comments and i never thanked him for it because i was too scared to talk to him and tagging him now so long after the fact seems pretty ridiculous but um thank you jay for real.

A Hand to Hold - kaijou hand kink this one i am actively embarrassed of (also, before i saw the light on trans joey)

4. Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

I try really hard to! If the fic is really old I don’t (i don’t know why i can’t explain it), but I really appreciate when people take the time to comment and I want them to know it.

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I don’t... really have any?? I write plenty of angsty situations. Competitionverse (my duke/seto business business au) is probably the angstiest one and the one I have the worst plans for. I have some secret fanfic of 1930s gangster Joey that I’ve kind of put out in the world so maybe that?

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

Haaahaha what drew me back to fanfiction after not writing it for at least a decade was domestic portraits of kaijou so, like, that’s what I write. Probably Baby Dragon or In Awe of Flowers.

7. Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written?

Not crossovers but I write... a lot of AUs and in fact did an entire compilation one year for NaNoWriMo I never finished. Most niche is the Black Tapes AU that yes I do have a full outline for including timelines for every characters and how they intersect with the grand conspiracy, and maybe the wildest is Long Way to a Small Angry Planet just for making Joey a feathered reptile alien.

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I’ve gotten some comments over writing Duke as non-binary and kind of a weird one on my super secret FE3H fanfiction fighting me on a plot point??

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?

I didn’t, but now I do. I don’t post 90% of what I write, which is maybe weirder? It’s been really good to be pushed there by friends and develop that part of my writing, so maybe I’ll post more. Probably not tho. I feel like I’ve branded myself as the KaiJou hand kink person but I still don’t write it enough to be anyone’s go-to.

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

No?? I don’t think so???

11. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No but it’d be super cool.

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I guess not technically. Me and @saggiclowns bounce ideas off each other, write fanfiction for each other’s fanfiction, and have definitely developed things together, so maybe that counts? But our IP is individualized.

13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

I have almost exclusively written KaiJou so you think that’d be the obvious answer. I think my actual all time favorite ship that sends me to the moon is probably Marceline/Bubblegum from Adventure Time (the history!!!! the animosity!!!!! the friendship!!!!!!!), I just... don’t want to read AT fanfiction.

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Hahahaaaaaaa. I am WIP queen!! Back in the day I’d start a hundred fanfics just to abandon them! The same’s true of today I just don’t post every thought that comes into my head. Star Trek AU deserves so much more of my attention and I do have a plan for it and I bought a special little Star Trek notebook to keep all my thoughts ideas and notes in and then when it comes to writing it I struggle.

15. What are your writing strengths?

Genuinely, to toot my own horn, I feel I write very naturalistic dialogue and for the longest time writing dialogue was the easiest thing in the world to me, to the point that sometimes I would skip over anything else. Also, gosh I love world building. I could go from a blank screen to a fully articulated society complete with maps, pantheons, and intricate histories for every location. The problem is then writing it.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

I tend to get very stuck on things and struggle to skip over them. Last year’s NaNoWriMo was a testament to that, and I kept rewriting and getting frustrated and will inevitably end up trashing the whole thing. I pick up new ideas constantly and then discard them for the next thought in my head. It’s part of why I’ve only really let myself write one shots and short fic, but I do have some longer WIP I’d love to actually finish.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

This is a tricky one and I’ve read and listened to a lot of people talk about how other non-fluent languages are presented in all kinds of different art. I personally don’t have a strong opinion. Best practice is to find someone who is fluent in that language to help you translate it (and there used to be whole blogs dedicated to helping people with this, I don’t know if they’re still around), but that doesn’t mean I’ve never jammed anything into a translator.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

This... is interesting because the answer is YuGiOh. Back in my middle school days my friends were very into ygo and wrote silly like chat formatted fics that we posted on DeviantArt (???) that were just really bad and stupid and silly, and the only reason I even thought about ygo was because all my friends liked it. The first fandom I actually really got involved in was Teen Titans, and ATLA I was, like, a recognizable presence. I fell off extremely hard probably thanks to college and have spent most of my life focusing on original fiction and writing my own characters. Then my best friend sent me a piece of fanart that unlocked my childhood memories, and here we are now, in the only fandom.

19. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

I wrote Bite Hard and it might be one of the best things I’ve written... and now I’ve kind of repurposed it into an original fiction??? I think the main characters might always be buddies no matter how much I’ve manipulated them, but it’s kind of spun off into it’s own thing? That’s what fanfiction’s for! Experimentation, playing with ideas, having a sandbox to build in! And then I EL James it and make millions! (jk)

@saggiclowns doesn’t post to AO3 that much, and i don’t know if @danieco even has an AO3 but they are extremely good writers!! also if you write fic, please share your own!
