All of the turtles love Jupiter Jim, even if Sanzio tries to deny it. Although only DaVinci and Blue are huge fans of Space Heroes. It’s their thing

Yoshi trained all the turtles, including the Rise kids. Lou (due to his mental state and Yoshi considering him a disgrace) wasn’t too involved with the training, but showed them all his movies so they all have picked up some things from those movies

Simoni has an electric based nippō

Purple and Sanzio are secretly running a bunch of cons in the hidden city

May (2012 April) managed to tame a kraang dog and the beginning of the apocalypse, so Casey Jr. grew up with a kraang dog. When he gets sent back, May manages to tame it again and it stays alive after the Rise kraang leave. So Casey Jr. gets his pet back :D

I imagine there’s plots that didn’t exist in either Rise or 2012 solely because characters now exist in the same world. (Example: The 2012 Purple Dragons somehow get into Big Mama’s debt, Meatsweats attacks Mr. Murakami because “nO ONe’s AlLOwEd To MAkE bETTeR FOod tHEn ME *crying baby auto tune*”, or Foot Recruit and Miwa/2012 Karai being girlbosses together, etc)

Of course we have Medic Blue, but I haven’t seen too much on the general fanon on who’s the medic in 2012. So my personal HC is that it’s Raph. Source: He literally gives Donnie a tourniquet in that one ep. Anyways Blue and Sanzio are ✨the medic duo✨ Yoshi is both the hardest on Blue because he’s afraid of him turning out like Lou, and joke with him the most because they’re both trolls and play around like that. Sanzio will absolutely kill bitch if they touch Purple’s shell without permission. The fact that’s so vulnerable compared to everyone else’s freaks him out a bit. Why is it so easy to break???

On a related note: Sanzio physically fights Purple the lest due to his Soft-Shell Privileges. Does Not stop him from verbal attacks at all, which they do the most out of everyone

Lou holds resentment to Yoshi for seemingly being unaffected by their mother leaving them. He also lost contact with Shredder before he gots too bad and is still a little in shock about his turn.

Baron Draxum created the ooze that mutated Yoshi and the 2012 turtles, so they all get the Draxum Clutch™️ as well.

Hueso went to Mr. Murakami‘s restaurant as per the turtles request, and now he’s a regular. Mr. Murakami knows he’s a skeleton but just casually accepts he’s serving to a bunch of creatures. As long as they behave he doesn’t mind

Casey Jr. was very close to his uncle Casey (2012) but doesn’t really know how to approach him in the present. He’s so different. At least the kraang dog is more or less the same.

Yoshi forbade all the turtles from going outside, but they all snuck out around the time Orange was 3-4ish. Lou know but has been letting them do it in a “haha don’t tell your dad/uncle or we’re all in trouble” move

So, I started drawing the 2012 ninja turtles and realized that if the Mutant Mashup Au is a mix of both the 2012 and Rise iteration of ninja turtles, then I should probably combine their art styles when I draw them. It sounds fun but I'm not sure whether or not I should make the boys look more like the 2012 or Rise art style.

Should I give the Rise boys more chonky legs and upper arms or slim down the 2012 boys to look more human?

Then again, this is just a silly au with lots to figure out. The difference could be explained away as simply as "the 2012 boys just mutated differently" or "Draxum used a variation of the ooze when creating the Rise Boys." Both @possumsarenice and I agree that Draxum was the one to mutate both sets of Hamato's, not the 2012 Kraang, but that makes me wonder if he mutated all of them at once.

Putting a cut here in case you aren't a fan of large bodies of text.

Draxum would have no reason to capture Yoshi unless he did his research and figured out Lou had an older brother. It just so happened that Yoshi bought his turtles when Draxum went to capture him, in place of Yoshi encountering the Kraang in canon. (I think Draxum went to capture Yoshi himself and sent Huginn and Muninn to get Lou. He had little info. on what to expect from Yoshi so Draxum got pretty roughed up I think.)

Alternatively, Draxum had planned to use Yoshi as a guinea pig of sorts BEFORE he did anything to Lou and the Kraang started hunting Yoshi soon after he escaped with four freshly mutated baby turtles in tow. To someone like Draxum using Yoshi first would make sense as he was older and would be considered "less of a threat" than Lou. We all know that isn't the case but Draxum sure didn't.

If all the Hamato's mutated at once, then Yoshi and Lou would meet up a whole lot sooner and be forced to tolerate and live together like they used too. It opens the door to sooner healing and less misunderstandings because in this Au Yoshi and Lou are NOT on good terms. This is due to how they perceived each other's reaction to their mother's death.

Lou saw Yoshi still following the Hamato teachings, even though those teachings stole their mother away, and believed Yoshi was unfazed, he considered Yoshi heartless. Yoshi believed that Lou turning his back on the Hamato clan meant he turned his back on their mother and family, that's why he considered Lou a disgrace.

Lou would see his mother's death the same way he saw it in canon, an unnecessary sacrifice. (At least until he realized the great evil behind the seal was real.) Meanwhile, Yoshi would likely see his mother's death as an act of heroism. Lou resented the Hamato clan for years because the duty they carried was one that took away one of the people Lou loved most. Yoshi, on the other hand, understood the sacrifice and what it meant. He hated it, but he understood that his mother only wanted to protect her family, and the world, from the Dark Armor.

Yoshi knew that his mother's final act was one of love. Love for her sons, love for her family, love for the Earth itself.

Both learned a lesson that day. Lou learned that the burden of saving the world is one that will consume everything, leaving you with nothing but the broken pieces of a once happy life before you had the chance to really grow up. Yoshi learned that loss is a painful but necessary sacrifice to save everyone, to protect everyone. To him "it doesn't matter that the burden is heavy, what matters is that you carry it."

Tessellation by @insomniamamma 🪐 Technically, this one’s really about Cee. But it does bounce around her memories while she watches over Ezra in recovery. And it’s done with such measured care and observation, fitting that she should think about her parents at a time like this, when she’s found the next person who will care for her... and her for him. It’s a beautiful reverie on the past and a promise of trust for the future. Like all of J’s writing, I’m a total simping fool.

A is for Anal by @butchmandalorian 🪐 Holy CRAP, I am sweating. His fic is DEEEEprived and anal isn’t my thing, but going slow is, as is a man that shows competency and control...and kindness. Ezra’s a truly experienced dom here and I may be a soft girl that likes to read some hard stuff from time to time, but this is further than I usually go. AND I LIKED IT. Heed the warning. You might just feel some aches after this one.

anyway so i posted another chapter of the TMNT fanfic i've been working on. fun fact by the time i get this full thing posted it will be by far the longest thing i've ever posted on ao3.

this story is obviously kind of a deviation from my regular writing (by which i mean, extremely explicit monster pornography) but i've been wanting to write some stuff with actual plots and themes and the like recently, so i guess when nanowrimo rolled around i just dug in. i was thinking of what kind of junk i love to see in fics and just threw all of it together in one big self-indulgent heap and so now it's a wild genre mashup. gotta kill yr internal censor & no better way to do it than to write self-serious teenage mutant ninja turtles romance/drama fanfiction.

there's that kind of chestnut about romance stories where people complain about how 90% of the plot could be removed if the characters actually just talked to each other, right? whoops it's all miscommunications and people keeping secrets for no reason, and that's the dynamo that drives the plot b/c you need some kind of tension, but you don't want the characters to come off as seriously flawed. relatedly, there was that one tweet thread by abbadon recently where he kind of touches on that. gotta have the characters be, you know. nice, good people. or sometimes so evil and over the top that it becomes cartoonish. but actually i think something i really enjoy in romance fanfic is when one or both characters are just genuinely obnoxious people. i mean i don't think i'm hitting that super heavily as a story theme so far, but. more jerks, imo

porn on ao3 vs. plotted fics on ao3 tend to have wildly different hits/comments/kudos ratios, & this is actually my first time being on the other side of it. like porn tends to get lotttts of hits, from people searching by tags or w/e, but not a lot of in-depth comments. meanwhile you will see fics that are like, 200,000 words, 70 chapters, 300 comments, 1200 hits. and it's like oh okay, this has a niche audience. this is somebody actually engaging with the local fandom. i tend to avoid fandoms that are actually, you know, 'active', so i don't really get a lot of that for anything i post. i guess my naruto fanfic kind of got that? people still care about naruto, i guess.

apparently there's kind of an active TMNT fandom on tumblr and like i guess i could link my tumblr in the story notes but i basically never do that kind of fandom enagement. i don't really, you know. like interacting with people. but who else can i tell about all my au ideas????

but with this TMNT fanfic it's very funny to have posted 8 chapters across three months and still have under 2k views. like whatttt all the plotless porn fills get thousands and thousands of hits. the teen wolf story with maggot infestation tagged got more hits than this one, and this has been bumped seven times! but yeah that's what writing a story with a plot gets you vs. writing porn, so, it's not actually surprising it's just funny to see in action.

i mean all that being said, kind of the joke of the initial two chapters of the story is that it's presented exactly like it's just a oneshot porn fic so really maybe the lack of hits is something else entirely; who can say. the mistake of everything being quantified with hits and kudos and subscriptions is that it invites you to systematize data, when actually it's probably mostly just noise & externalities. maybe people just don't like weird turtle dick.

(also if you'll excuse some yelling at clouds, just as an aside, but there are so many chatfics in the fandom (b/c this is media for children and kids these days only talk via chats) and with like two exceptions they're all completely unformatted, just bold names and double-spaced paragraphs between every line, from copying the story in from a google doc or something. please learn how to make a work skin + the css to format yr story like it's an actual chat client. at least get rid of the double-spacing. my story contains like 20 lines of grindr text messages and i still put together a whole custom stylesheet for it. it's not hard!! it looks so much better! you can give characters custom colored text bubbles, which works well since all the characters are already color-coded!! anyway.)

(also lol i do actually have a leatherhead/mikey/raph/slash 4some wip i'm considering finishing, which is much more my standard style. i can't believe i've gotten into teenage mutant ninja turtles. i think i've read like 80% of the extant fanfic on ao3 in the past few months. i really do think the major issue stopping me from getting into it was just that i always found it a little obnoxious that the turtles were always copy-paste palette-swap designs. if it's in black and white and they don't have their weapons in shot good luck figuring out which turtle is there b/c their designs are identical. thank you rise for giving them wild designs even if your toy line was garbage so the show got canceled immediately.)

ANYWAY so the story is actually kind of under-tagged, and in the original post draft of the fic i had way more warnings, but after some consideration i cut a lot of them out. like, if you're reading this fic you are hopefully an adult and you can form your own opinions about the characters and what happens without me having to signpost. and also i read somebody's post that was like, actually i hate content warnings when they're just like "tw: sexual assault. sexual assault happens" and it's like wow that's so vague and open-ended it could mean almost anything, and that looming ambiguity is more stressful than just encountering w/e happens in the full context of the story. obviously this is subjective but there's not really an objective way to present any information.

i mean okay originally ch 1 was gonna have a note like "do your own risk assessment before hosting & having unprotected cloacal sex with a total stranger off grindr. actually don't do anything mikey does in this fic." which would get funnier and funnier as more of what mikey actually gets up to gets revealed

but also the main tension of the whole story is literally just character motivation? you get to see mikey & raph do a lot of things but justifications for why they do them is notably lacking. u gotta figure that out. so it feels kind of didactic to even tag it as like, 'organized crime', not even in 'that's a spoiler' territory although i guess it would be, but in the sense of like, this is a structured narrative that you are supposed to form concepts about. ...so i guess that's exactly spoiler territory, actually. listen i am new to this whole "writing stories with plots" thing.

also i mean it is very funny that i've gotten kind of worried about under-tagging this or it having too extreme content when the fandom is full up on like, serial killer yandere aus or w/e else. 'x is a creepy rapist and he kills his other brothers so he can keep y as a sex toy'. actually this story is extremely tame in comparison.

anyway some people get murdered in this latest chapter of the fic, is what i'm saying.

Idk why, but I feel like talking about my own personal tmnt au. It doesn't really have a name (actually it has two different ones that I might just combine). It's a mix of 2012 tmnt and rottmnt, at least with the characters, that I came up with a while back but haven't thought too much on. I made a Google doc on it so I'm just going to copy and paste everything that's on it.

Name ideas: Reborn, New Chance

This au is sorta a mashup of 2012 TMNT and rottmnt, mostly taking the yokai and being biologically related to Hamato Yoshi idea with a twist.

So it's basically that the boys are Hamato Yoshi's biological sons that were killed in a fire only to be reborn as yokai turtles.

How it all started out(wip):

Oroku Saki and Hamato Yoshi were raised as brothers in the Hamato Clan. As the two grew, Yoshi showed no interest in taking over the clan while Saki did his best to prove that he's worthy enough to take over the clan. Yet Yoshi, much to his and Saki's dismay, was made the new leader of the Hamato clan. Yoshi tried reasoning with his father, who had made the decision, to give the role to Saki since he deserved it more than him. His father said that was exactly why he gave it to Yoshi, so he'd learn that sometimes you have to do things you're not ready for but Yoshi didn't understand this. However Yoshi and Saki couldn't go against the word of their father until his passing, but Saki believed that Yoshi wouldn't go against their father's word after his death. This became true when Yoshi fell in love with Tang Shen and had four sons. Saki slowly grew angry as he believed he could never become the leader that the clan needed. This fueled him to come up with a plan to kidnap Yoshi's wife and sons and keep them captive until Yoshi gave up his title as clan leader to him, but things didn't go according to plan. Saki enlisted the help of the foot soldiers of the Hamato Clan to help with his plan, but one of the foot soldiers killed Shen which was not what Saki wanted. Out of anger for losing his brother's wife, he killed the soldier and made it clear to the others that the boys were to be brought to him alive. Before that could happen Yoshi returned home to see his wife and foot soldier dead at Oroku Saki's feet. Saki was about to explain everything when he saw the look on his brother's face, but Yoshi's home burst into flames. Both men were surprised, Yoshi tried to rush in to save his son's, but was stopped by some foot soldiers so Saki rushed in to save his nephews. The fire made it difficult to find the boys until he heard their cries for help. He made his way to them to rescue them, but as soon as he reached them he couldn't escape with them. The five of them were trapped and Saki hoped, prayed to the Hamato Clan ancestors to allow the boys to be reborn so they could have a chance at a life as the five of them died. His wish was granted, but Oroku Saki would be forced to be a wandering spirit in return.

The boys were reborn as four turtles that had been found by Hamato Yoshi when he left Japan and the Hamato Clan and went to New York in America. The turtles were tiny tots when Yoshi found them, more like he saved them from becoming Baron Draxum's warriors but as a result gets mutagen dumped onto him and the turtles, making the five of them yokais/mutants (basically what happens in rottmnt). Yoshi fled, after saving the turtles as the mutagen turned him into a rat, to the sewers of New York. There in the sewers Yoshi raised the turtles, taking on the name of Splinter while naming the four turtles after his late sons. He taught them everything he knows, but kept his past a secret from the boys.

So yeah that's what I have. It's not the best and most likely needs some reworking, but that's what it's like at the moment. I definitely need to work on the whole Yoshi becomes Splinter and gets the turtles, but I'll do that at a later date.

Yes the turtles are close to not being teens, but I wanted to go for them being older and still acting like kids since they still technically are (even though Leo is technically a legal adult, he still acts like a teen). Also Raph and Donnie are twins because I thought it'd be a cool duo to be twins. Especially since their personalities are both combinations of sweethearts and teens that aren't the best at expressing emotions.

I'm slowly thinking more and more about a SR/DBH crossover because of you 😁

For a crossover, would you replace cyberlife with ultor or vice versa?

Yes! I love questions about corporate entities in crossovers (in DBHSRs case I guess since Kiki is a Fallout reboot and there's a ton of Fallout references in Saints Row and you can literally play as a Super Mutant/Nightkin or a ghoul if you really want to bro and have time to dick around with customisation The stuff is all there so I guess she's also a mashup?)

And here's why;

I tailored my crossover run to be a path continuation rather than a full DBH AU (everything that happened during my playthrough happened largely unchanged except for some very minor details to make DCs nonsense writing at least somewhat make sense/plus THAT Connor ending is my favourite to play with.)

I think Ultor buys out Cyberlife at the beginning of the 2039/2040 financial year after consumer confidence wanes/stocks plummet and it just becomes another subsidiary of The Ultor Corporation (because a confected revolution for profit is actually fucking gross and a stupid business model in the first place/there's some after game "revenge" fuckery)

swallowed by the very corporate machine it attempted and failed to become. Kamski fades into obscurity.

Meanwhile in the Southwest. Marshall Defense Technologies have patents on their own products for "defense retail" as I think they probably branded it in literature, but like it's arms dealing, everyone knows it. Plus I think personnel probably have prosthesis, cybernetics and robotics covered by insurance and stuff. Marshall International maybe in a Starr regime?

I just came across the fact that a lot of authors don't explore this part of him for some reason and i found it kinda upsetting so i'm wondering if you have any recs! I liked "As They Kiss, Consume" and "Who Shall be King Hereafter" by sherwoodfox, in case anyone who's reading this ask is interested in the same topic.

He wasn't completely lying, because the deli's namesake, Edie Lehnsherr, made the best matzah ball soup Charles has ever had in his life. Still, Charles would rather shave his full head of hair off than admit that the real reason he would willingly walk through hail and fire to get to the corner deli was because of Erik, the insanely attractive man working the counter.

Sure, Erik has barely spoken two words to Charles other than "Hello, what can I get you?" or, after the third day in a row that Charles came to the deli, "Welcome back, what can I get you?", but Charles was more than happy to just ogle at the man from afar while devouring the juicy wurst Erik had put together with his (large and very capable) hands.

But, little does Charles know, Erik doesn't usually work the front counter. He only does it when he knows the cute blue-eyed man will be dining in.

Haven't mentioned that Mutant Mashup AU in a while, might as well bring something up that I've been stewing over for ever since I saw this YouTube video by skulltrot.

It's a really good analysis on Leo and why he does the things he does in the movie. It even explains a few minor details you might've missed during a first watch, as well as a few other details that are mentioned in the series.

After watching this video I've seen Rise Leo not as an overconfident teen whose goofy for personal amusement, but an insecure kid who covers up that fact by telling jokes.

I'll explain more on Blue's character in the Au under the cut so you don't have to read it if you don't want to, but just as a reminder.

2012 gang's nicknames are:

Rise fam's nicknames are:

Now for Blue's character. I'm gonna focus on his insecurities here, as well as a bringing up his relationship with his brothers and cousins.

In the Au, Blue lives with his brothers and lives a few tunnels away from his cousins so there's plenty of interaction between them all. However, that also means that Blue picks up on his family's talents quickly and feels very insecure by the time the Au begins. Similar to canon, Blue doesn't tell anyone about his insecurities, using jokes to hide what's going on beneath the surface. It's hard for Blue to be vulnerable, even in front of his family. This was partially influenced by this father and uncle's relationship with each other, as well as how they treat Blue himself.

Yoshi and Lou absolutely care for Blue and don't want to see him hurt, it's just that they have so many other turtles to look after that sometimes Blue gets overlooked. He's not the only one either, Purple, Sanzio, Niccolo, even Simoni get overlooked from time to time. It also doesn't help that Blue's father has a habit of ignoring his issues through TV and other distractions. That meant Blue didn't get as much emotional availability from Lou as he should've growing up. Leading to Blue's lack of communication with his father, it just feels awkward at this point because Blue doesn't know if his dad will take his issues seriously.

Yoshi was a little different as he saw Blue growing up to be just like Lou and was worried Blue would turn out that way. That's why despite both sharing a similar sense of humor and getting along well, Yoshi was harder on Blue than the rest of his nephews. That led to Blue feeling like his insecurities were a weakness he needed to fix and feeling uncomfortable bringing them up to Yoshi.

Blue also doesn't like to bring his insecurities up to his brothers.

Blue noticed Red taking care of the family alongside DaVinci when their Dad and Uncle would fight. He understood, even at a young age, that something was wrong and that Red and DaVinci were stressed out over it. That's partly why Blue doesn't want to tell Red about his issues. He feels like Red already has enough on his plate and doesn't want to add more or feel like another burden his older brother needs to shoulder. Red and Blue do still tease and prank each other, as siblings do, but when it comes to internal issues that need to be addressed, Blue hesitates.

Purple is a different story because emotions are hard for him to get right. He tries, but Blue doesn't want to make his twin feel awkward or uncomfortable if he can help it. Even if Purple can understand being overlooked sometimes by the adults in their life, Blue doesn't feel the need to explain if it means an awkward infodump.

Orange is the closest to understanding Blue but isn't fully aware of the extent of his older bros issues. Blue is fully aware of Orange wanting to help and Dr. Delicate Touch his way into solving the problem, but Blue doesn't like how pushy Orange can be. Orange has a lot of energy with a passion comparable to his cousin Sanzio, but that eagerness to help isn't what Blue wants. Especially when he wants to protect Orange and not burden him with his issues, similar to Red.

The absolute last person Blue would explain his issues to is DaVinci. While Blue looks up to his oldest cousin, he feels inferior in many ways. DaVinci is strong, confident, efficient in battle and projects and air of safety that everyone can feel just by being around him. Blue wants to be like that but feels like he can't, that he's too weak to ever achieve that level of strength. DaVinci is pretty much the object of Blue's insecurities. That's not to say they aren't close, they both love Space Heroes and spa days. They care for each other, it's just that Blue can't help but compare himself to his cousin and other family members.

Sanzio is in a weird place though. While he would absolutely relate to Blue's struggles and maybe even offer some really good advice, Blue just doesn't explain to Zio. Blue is fully aware that Purple and Zio have an agreement between them, not the specifics just that there IS an agreement, and doesn't want to mess up with what they've got going on. Eventually, Blue will learn to lean on Zio after a talk with both him and Purple.

Simoni is similar to Orange in that Blue doesn't want to bog Simon down with his issues. Simon is fully aware that Blue's got some stuff to work out and is super go with the flow about it. He's not gonna pressure Blue into explaining something he's not ready to talk about and is totally cool with providing distractions. Blue appreciates that and spends the most time with Simoni because of it. Blue likes to divert his attention whenever his self criticism, or boredom, become too much.

The only person Blue willingly explains his issues to at the beginning is his cousin Niccolo, even the ugly parts.

Nico is calm, gentle, willing to listen and not give any feedback unless asked for it. Blue doesn't want others to find the solutions for him, he wants to find them on his own. He knows his brothers mean well, but Blue feels weak when he finally gets vulnerable in their presence. Blue wants to feel in control of his issues and Nico understands that. To others, Nico's silent presence might feel like detachment, but he's always listening and that's what Blue wants.

The Hamato's hooman friends are in a funky middle.

The Jones' definitely aren't the ones Blue would go to for insecurity assistance. Him and Cass aren't close enough for Blue to ask her for help, plus I think he'd view her as friend by association. She's a little intense like Orange so that doesn't help her case. Casey may be good at keeping a secret, but that doesn't mean that he's good at keeping a secret from his friends. Blue likes his secrets kept as such. Casey Junior lands in that same boat where Blue doesn't want to burden him anymore than he already is. I mean, kid lost everything and is considered the lone survivor of a doomed future. Maybe Blue might ask if his older self had any self care tips but just very subtly.

The O'Neil's try to get him to open up in their own ways. Blue doesn't go to Kirby or Carol unfortunately because he had a hard time leaning on adults growing up. April definitely encourages him to talk to DaVinci about his issues mean while May asks him to talk to Red. Both do their best but Blue is stubborn and stagnates a lot of the time.

Would you ever write an old guard/X-Men mashup/combo/au? However you interpret that is up to you

Probably not! Which may seem weird because those are two of my main fandom jams, but they don't mesh well together in my head. I don't tend to write pure crossovers, where characters from one 'verse meet characters from another for whatever reason, unless I have a REALLY compelling idea. And the thought of the Old Guard as they are existing in a world with mutants kind of...drains the magic for me? Because let's face it, they're all just Wolverine without the claws. If they coexist with the X-Men verse, there's nothing in particular to bring them together -- they're just longer-lived mutants than most. I'm sure someone could absolutely write a compelling fic about that, but it's not gonna be me.

Then there are fusion AUs, my personal favorite (see: most of my X-Men fics), where you take characters from one 'verse but the worldbuilding from another. And again, that doesn't quite work for me for TOG/X-Men, possibly because the worldbuilding is...too similar to feel special. Like, again, in one direction, the TOG crew all just happen to be mutants with the same exact power; in the other, I guess you pick your favorite X-Men and make them immortal? (...Wolverine is already right there.) They're both just set in the modern world, otherwise. Plus powers. Nothing much for me to fusion.

My personal favorite mashups are between two fandoms where one has really strong characters (X-Men, for example), and the other has really strong worldbuilding (say, Inception, for the dreamscape). That's where the magic happens in my brain. X-Men and TOG are both of the same type for me: really strong characters. Weaker on the worldbuilding. Or, well, worldbuilding that derives from the characters themselves and is pretty much utterly dependent on them to work. Random team of immortals in an otherwise normal world? Not the most interesting scenario, on paper. Team of those characters, specifically? AWESOME.

That was a very roundabout way of saying no, probably not. But someone else totally should!

17. Describe a fic that is still in the ‘ideas’ stage.

I have two that are still kinda in the ideas stage right now, a sci fi au where Virgil is a starship scavenger who ends up inadvertently rescuing three Coalition Officers (logan, patton, and roman) from pirates, then the four of them get pulled into a plot to overthrow the galactic infastructure (and feel some FEELINGS along the way). prinxiety/logicality or maybe lamp, and also Remy is Virgil’s ship’s sentient AI interface. It’s called “Land Among the Stars.” Then the other one is sort of a mashup between a mutants au and a fantasy au (basically, the ‘what if the x-men plot was happening in like, a medieval fantasy setting’ fic that I’ve always wanted to write) called “The Twisted Ones.”

19. What’s your favorite character headcanon?

Just, that everyone is a happy family who love each other. I love my angst and I love my villainous dark sides, but just...give me the six boys loving and supporting each other and being a happy family who care for one another pls. That’s all I need in life.

reading through my evernote fic ideas vault notebook and looking at all the ideas I've plotted in bullet points but haven't actually written. highlights include:

mcu/supernatural crossover set in s2-3 of spn & post Dark World. Loki dislikes having a rival trickster causing chaos in his name on earth, crosses paths with Sam and Dean (during Tall Tales), accidentally becomes an unofficial member of their group. I have three fics' worth of content plotted and some major moments written.

an MCU/X-Men mashup in which Odin binds Loki in enchantments and sends him to earth as a child for reasons™. Loki, unaware of his true nature, is thought to be a mutant by his 'parents' and send to Xavier. Two fics worth of content – first, Loki with the X-Men/school; second, Thor gets banished and goes on a self-discovery road trip with Jane and Darcy looking for Loki. First fic plotted in bullet points.

Angsty post-canon merlin fic that seems to be based on a deal between him and Gwen. merlin will stay in Camelot for a year at least before he leaves; hurt/comfort, messy relationships, PTSD, Gawain lives but barely. only written down as a concept.

star trek mcspirk fic in which Spock and bones are stranded on an alien planet. spock is wounded and having a breakdown. jim is elsewhere. almost entirely written but every time I go to edit and post it, it seems to get longer and messier. I am not in control. it's been almost a year since I started it.

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency/Merlin crossover in which merlin is an escaped blackwing subject. a large chunk of the first chapter (or fic?) is written, but it's largely incomplete and incomprehensible. whether or not dirk gently is actually there is unclear. morgana, Gawain and percy are apparently involved in taking down blackwing from the inside? idk

The Witcher Sherlock Holmes AU. slightly anachronistic mashup of Witcher 'verse and Arthur Conan Doyles' Holmes, with Jaskier as Watson and Geralt as some bizarre monster-hunting Holmes with a difference. the first fic is called The Striga of Shoscombe Old Place and has all major moments written in the wrong order

there's also myriad other ideas for fandoms I'm not even in anymore, but I can't bring myself to clear anything out Just In Case. it's utterly bizarre and I'm hoping that my posting this I'll hold myself accountable and maybe? actually finish and upload some of these??
