*It slowly blinked before slowly lifting a paw and booping his nose. The cat seems to smile, it seems to know him but still seems unfamiliar in appearance.*

<He wrinkles his nose and leans back, squinting.>

"Hmh?" Blinking as the little critter scampered ahead, DK sighs and follows along begrudgingly. His fur is pretty matted by now and he's holding back the urge to shake knowing he'd probably just have to do so a few minutes later. At the mention of a personal belonging, he scans the immediate area, then squints up at-... oh, mystery solved.

"Well, if that isn't a cozy lookin' hammock set-up." DK mused, but suddenly flinched as he noticed the 'Hannah' creature was pulling some weird glowing magic out of nowhere. "What the-..." Squinting as it chittered at him, he doesn't have time to demand an explanation since the monkey-tailed girl is off towards the nearest tree trunk and scrabbling at bark. Ugh...they'd be there all night if he waited.

Though he couldn't help but show some curiosity towards the strange light that seemed to grow after a moment towards the tree's captive, he soon found himself addressing the attempted rescue. "Kid-...c'mon, you're gonna take forever." He huffs, grabbing onto the nearest tree trunk and hoisting himself up rather quickly so he could grab a nearby vine and drift over towards the guy who looked like he was getting more snooze than DK had gotten for the whole month. Shaking his head, he leaned in to snap one set of vines with his teeth.

After a couple more snaps, he hovered over another...but noticed a change in the air via how his fur seemed to suddenly rise in an aggressive manner towards one side of the canopy. A low 'sssssssssss' caused him to bite quickly on a different vine that would send the strung guy down a level or two and swinging down closer towards the ground. It was probably for the best, since seconds later - a large adder head emerged from the shadows and snapped voraciously at the now empty space in the sky. Well - empty except for DK. He's far away enough to grab the snapping jaws with his bare hands and yank outward like he might be able to pull the massive snake's head apart. He can't, however, and finds himself tumbling out of the canopy into a patch of shrubs and large palm fans.

As the two creatures thrashed about, DK snarled viciously as he feels a sudden bite connect to his flank. Though he managed to hobble back after a sudden punch to the invader's nose, it isn't before long before the injection began to show it had seeped in...showing as DK scrambling out of the tall plants only to collapse on a knee and have a tendril shoot out and yank him to a more submissive state. He didn't quite have a say in the matter, seeing as the bite had given him a healthy dose of paralysis, and aside from a little kick or two backwards, he couldn't quite find a reason to move out of the way of the snake's head circling back around and hissing furiously in his face. Followed of course by his head and shoulders entering the massive python's maw as it prepared to have itself a little Kong snack.

"Mrrf-!?" His legs were less affected by the position of the bite, so they kicked around and eventually his feet found some footing at the edge of the reptile's face, squeezing sharp in an attempt to stop the descent. Though it was hard to get any air in his current position except to thrash and claw backwards to help air escape down the serpent's throat for him.

Leading Ragamonster back upstairs is a bit of an endeavor; he keeps getting getting under the folding chairs in the classroom, and every time Naomi manages to coax him out, he whines and wiggles until it's too much and he turns around.

"Is it a bit scary here?" Naomi asks as she gently pulls him out from under the table. "I can relate to that. Here, bud, let me just..."

Up! He's made of felt and yarn and wire, so he's not heavy at all. Ragamonster plops his head on her her shoulder as she walks up the stairs, squirming a bit in her arms. Naomi opens the door and-

You know, in all this trouble, she completely forgot the bed. There it is, real and complete with a mattress and sheets and pillows; one thing she sees that she knows she didn't put there is a flap at the mast, hanging down to cover an opening. As she walks over the gaps in the floor, Ragamonster squirms out of her arms and disappears into the hole.

"...Oh." Naomi stares, processing. "Oh, you're supposed to be the monster under the bed. That... would explain why I didn't find you before now."

Ragamonster's round face pops out from under the flap, and he chuffs happily. Naomi smiles and shakes her head; he's definitely not what she expected to come with a bed, but it looks like they're a package deal.

"You know, I always wanted a pet as a kid," she says, more to herself than anyone else. "...Alright, Ragamonster, I guess we're in for the long run. Time to get ready for bed."

"Mrrf!"

“Ludger, come on! You promised you’d get me ice cream!”

“I know. Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten, Elle,” Ludger chuckled. Another day had come, and with that came babysitting Elle once again. He hardly minded. She was a sweet kid and sometimes even helped out with his culinary school homework. Sometimes. Sometimes she tried to get him to come up with much more wild recipe ideas, like some overly sugary treat with way too much candy involved. Today, though, they were just spending some time in the park before heading back home.

“I just need to set our stuff down first,” he told her, setting down the bag of toys Elle had insisted on bringing. Plus cat treats. He didn’t know why she’d insisted on bringing Rollo with them, but the cat didn’t seem to mind. He was pretty obedient for a cat, after all.

“You and Rollo wait he... where’s Rollo?” Ludger asked. When Elle pointed past him, Ludger turned around and spotted the chubby cat approaching a woman who appeared to be working on some kind of project. Ludger sighed. Usually Rollo was obedient. Today seemed to be the day he wanted to wander off and meet someone new.

“Elle, stay here,” Ludger told her. “I’ll go get Rollo, then we can get ice cream.” He offered a small smile, and once he was satisfied the little girl would stay put he went after Rollo. Rollo was, of course, making himself comfortable beside Stella.

“Mrrf.”

“Rollo...” Ludger chuckled. “I’m sorry, ma’am. That’s my cat. I hope he’s not bothering you...”

It’s quiet and I’m scared, nobody is talking and I think they’re preparing for the storm.
