Someone’s prob caught this long before me, but:

In Lord of the rings (fellowship) we see the ring leaving Gollum and bouncing and rolling down the rocks:

The ring wanted to leave Gollum and therefore did.

It’s then picked up by Bilbo unwillingly; has an ‘unexpected journey’; and stays with him.

But when Bilbo is leaving, he decides to leave the ring with Frodo. The ring however, wants to stay and keep wielding its power and influence over him.

And when, at Gandalf’s insistence, Bilbo drops the ring, it still doesn’t want to leave him:

Which is why it falls flat, no bouncing or rolling away. It thuds to the floor like a child might stomp its foot when not getting its way.

I dunno how i’ve never caught this b4, and I may just be stupid and ppl have spoken bout this b4 but i’m a nerd and can’t help but mention it unprompted.

What I think south park characters fyp on TikTok would be:

Kyle: dancing videos, those fun fact videos, gen alpha shit like "rizzing my girlfriend up" or a skibidi toilet episode

Stan: doesn't have TikTok, he stays 1000 feet away from that app, but if he did, probably animals

Kenny: girls... Cosplay..

Butters: not aloud to have TikTok. But if he did, I'm not sure tbh. Maybe animals, trends, maybe some hello kitty stuff, and other stuff of his interests

Cartman: he thinks TikTok is cringe and doesn't have it, but if he did, probably prank videos, or really horrible offensive vids

Tweek: doesn't have it, it gives him too much stress

Craig: racing stuff, maybe some guinea pig videos and facts, oh also space stuff

Clyde: same kinda stuff as Kyle

Tolkien: dance videos, popular trends, idk

Jimmy: comedy, those videos with Minecraft as the background and some random jokes or funny twitter/reddit posts

Sokka finally saw his father and darted for him, running past the fires surrounded by startled men and launching himself at his dad. He smacked into him with a thump and pressed his face into his chest.

Hakoda looked stunned as his arms wrapped around him almost automaticity. “Sokka?” He didn’t seem to have the words and his face was a picture of surprise, relief and confused pain. It made Shen’s heart hurt and swell at the same time. But although the sight was joyous, it was probably going to be more complicated than just a happy reunion. The poor kid had long scars on his back, similar to Zuli. There was no doubt he had been through something awful.

Almost to illustrate that thought, Sokka let out a long, wordless wail, a sound so full of fear, grief and distress it made all the hair on Shen’s arms stand on end. Hakoda, still holding his son tightly, turned his body to shield him from view.

A scene from @lovelyelbowleech’s War Games that i spent way too long thinking about, and then probably too long drawing. The goddamn wail broke my heart and i never recovered. And it’s not like it’s the only scene in the fic that would do that to a person either. GO READ IT, it’s a masterpiece. I can’t promise that you will come back though, and if you do, you will not be the same.
