Moving Day

The movers came late, so I drove all night. Some of my things got left behind in the interest of space. I hope someone is able to put them to use.

It was pitch black, driving down the length of Illinois, save for a giant cross illuminated with (several) spotlights. It felt like a fever dream and I only remember stopping once, but who knows. I got gas station coffee to try to keep myself alert.

I was anxious and tired but carried on. Love sat beside me with Cat cradled in his arms. We arrived at 5am. We walked around the townhouse. Felt the uneven floors. The grime left by the previous tenants. I sat in the closet and cried with Cat and asked myself what the fuck I had done. Perspective gets muddled under the weight of a long day.

In retrospect, it's hard to believe I had the courage to shed my skin like a snake, leaving it discarded and all but forgotten. I've never been known to be daring. I guess part of the appeal is that no one here knew that.

However, this city has folded me in so easily. Though she has swallowed me up, she only threatens to spit me back out on occasion. We always come to an agreement in the end.

Moving day

Two family's of fundiechurch have outgrown their houses. The Colton Reagan family and the Logan Nelson family.

Colton&Nina Reagan have lived in this house for over 10 years now. Ever since they got married they lived in this two bedroom house. It was perfect for them and their not so fast growing family. But they did manage to have five girls in 10 years time. Now it's time for a bigger house.

They found this house across the street. It has three very large bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a huge garden in the back. It has plenty of space to put an add on later if they need it. But for now it's perfect, with lot's of spare space, for them.

The Nelson family, Logan&Alice, their 10 children and one on the way have been living in this house ever since Lois was a little girl. It's been 12 years and they added some space to the back of the house but it doesn't fit their fast growing family anymore. With baby #11 on the way they needed more space.

This huge house has been build in the new neighborhood of the city. It has four bedrooms, one downstairs, three upstairs, plenty of bathrooms and a huge garden in the back. This is where Logan (43) and Alice (37) can expand their ever growing family.

It's been a while since I last posted so here is a peak where we store our fun stuff. It's just a simple Publix bag. But in other news, we have sold our house and we are debt free and at 27 no less. I have some job interviews coming up soon so hopefully I will have a new job and we can move into our new townhome in the next couple months or so. It's been a long journey and fate has opened a lot of paths to make this happen. These past few weeks have especially been brutal with work, moving stuff, and trying to find time to unwind ( spoiler not a lot of that ). Overall we are super excited to start this first step to bettering ourselves and our daughter. I can't thank you guys enough for the encouragement and support with this. Hopefully, soon we will have a more set schedule for ties and streaming.
