THE WRATH OF BECKY stars Lulu Wilson (Becky, The Haunting of Hill House), Seann William Scott (American Pie franchise, Bloodline) and was co-directed by Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote (The Open House). The film was written by Angel based on a story by him and Coote.

In the history of cinema, when has it ever been a good idea to create a creepy-looking doll? The answer is never. The creepy doll will always turn against its humans. Just look at M3GAN, or the Model 3 Generative Android, in this sci-fi horror from Blumhouse. Hi. I can agree in a way with your post about Dislyte being an animated series. I tried to write a coment, but it would let me write the full thing down for some reason, so I write here. Sorry if this will be anyoing.

As an artist, and as someone who knows a lot about animation, and want to work with animation in the future, I can agree. Dislyte would be better as a animated series. Like you said Dislyte is artist heavy, and because of it the trilers work better then the story (the main story at least). And as an animated series it would have more ways, and chance of exporing the characters, and the word building, in this way a lot of question could be answerd. Even if the character designs are too detailed for animation.

But I can see ways it could be easier to animate. Because of the character portes, and the way it tells the story, I will talk about 2d animation first. It would be overwhealmind for the animaters to draw every single detailes in every fream, so my idea is for a lot of screans shows less detailes in the character designs, it could be made in a way that doesn't look cheep, so in this way we can fucus little story telling detailes to the characters menerisums, they esperions, and in other places for the porpus of telling the story in a more visial way. You know fallowing the good old show, don't tell methed. And the screan that have a biger, importent impact on the story, and the characters it could show more detailes that the portats, and the 3d models have, so the screan can have a biger impact on the adience. Or make it a 3d animated series, with part's of 2d animation, and segments with it.

But Lilith Games wants profit, and is a video game company. It would be too much of a risk to make a animated series, especially now. It's sad to see, and say that animation became somewhat of a risk game, or in other words gamble, and is not seen as a medium that you can use to tell a story about anything, but as something that only can be enjoyed by children, and endured by adult (at least main stream animation), but that's the truth. Netflix want's Boss Baby to be the face of they animated series, they animated gaient, whail they almost completly forget that Arcane was for a time they most watched series, and that it's really popular, and how big it's fanbase. And both Netflix, and HBOMax, and other streaming services canceling animated series even before earing, and they became lost media, and shoting down indi animation studios. The Oscar reduses animation to simple children's entertainment, insted of a medium. (that was the first time when I heard about Amy Shumer, and the first expresion made me hate her instently.) After Buety, and the Beast win best film category, the head made the category of best animated film, yes in this way animation can be judge as it's own thing, but that doesn't change the fact that they did this so any animated movie can't win in the best film category every again. I know in defrent parts of the word animation seen defrently, for exemple France, but as an Eastern Europe, what Netflix, and HBOMax, and other streaming services do to animation scears, and sadenss me deeply.

I can see Dislyte working, and being sucsesfull as an animated series. But if we look at the big picture of how streaming services treat, animation I can't see a company that is soo creativ, and money hungry at the same time as Lilith Games doing it. Why would I say this, because Lilith Games with Dislyte poven time, and time again that how much they want money. The games gatcha sistem is more money hungry then Genshin Impacts's gatcha sistem, which was considerd imposible by meny, but I gues Lilith Games made the imposible but not in a good way. And the fack that the developers give the option to give advice, or feed back for players who spend a biger amounth of money, for a longer time period.

But let's be optimistic here for the last part, because let's be honest after this we all deserve it. I could see an animated Dislyte story driven series working, if it takes the Arcana, Castlevania, and The Cuphead Show aproch. Which is 1, be enjoyable for both the people who playd the game, and people who haven't, 2, (in the case of Arcane, and The Cuphead Show) not be cannon, and be a defrent time line. Let's be honest here the main story of Dislyte is not the beast. In this way that story could be better, with well writen character both from the game, and original ones. Dislyte could work as a story driven, with emotional moments, and with moraly gray characters, that can explor a lot of things, in longer episods. If they want to make it into a episodic comady (Lilith Games made a one similar series for it's other game Afk arena, but in my opinion it has good jokes, the animation looks good, even if it's stiff sometimes, but the voice acting is really bad), then write short stories about the characters, then they need to find good comedic writers, who know what they doing, and if they want it to be extra memorable, then put a few songs into the mix. I personly think that the story driven series would be better for Dislyte. Maybe because my stories almost always story driven, or because of the stories of the game. Yes the bounty stories are eather funny, or sad, but the even stories have serious things in them. This long and story driven could explor a lot of things outside of the characters, and the world building, it could explor the characters trauma, and what's it like being an esper, with the question is it a blessing or a curse, or both. It could also explor coruption, nature vs nuture with the miramon, what it means to be human, what is a human, with the esperes being somewhat super natural because of the esper transformation, realetionships between people and the lossing someone, or a any kind of realitionship with them, see the friendship between Falken and Sander, rivenge, and it’s effects on someone and the people around them, prejudes, and other themes too. This just needs compitent, and good writers. I can see this series work, but eather we have to wait, and hope, for it, or we have to make it into a fanfiction, a fan comic, or a fan animated series.

All of your points are very valid. I don't anticipate an animated series, even some shorts episodes on YouTube (aside from the shorts they already have that are like a minute long each), ever happening. Arcane came from an already very popular and beloved game, so they had the advantage of dedicated fans who would back up any content made. Dislyte, however, is slowly driving away pretty much everyone that could become a fan with what the devs are doing.

I'm aware that animation is very difficult and, unfortunately, has a bad reputation in mainstream media, so, yeah it's definitely just a fantasy. I would love it if a group of fans came together to make something similar, I know many people have already written fanfics and made fanart, but I can see those sorts of things dwindle everyday so the hope for a big fan-related event like a comic or series is almost non-existent.

But, who knows. While I won't get my hopes up, I won't dismiss the possibility either. The world that Dislyte has created is really interesting and basically a blank canvas for most people to create fan-content, I see new oc's made here on Tumblr every day.

In the end, all I really want is for a game with many willing fans to treat those fans like people instead of potential moneybags.

The live action brought me back from the ashes to give my unrequited opinions.

Luffy: i was expecting a brazillian actor tbh but the kid is just ADORABLE, I'm already prepared to die for him just as much as for the anime luffy. Also even without acting his energy was way up there and I think this is beautiful, very pirate king behaviour.

Zoro: i was afraid they would cast someone older but it was a great surprise. I've recently seen the samurai x movies and he's a great actor, he played a feral antagonist, also the fight choreography was unmatched, and then by looking through his other projects I've seen he played arata in the chihayafuru's live action (he has been in so many japanese live actions actually and that's pretty cool) which has the completely opposite, calm personality... So overall, i think he has all the capability to play a GREAT zoro.

Nami: not much to say but like everybody's getting THE VIBES~, right?

Usopp: the actor was also pretty hype and seemed like a very CONVINCING (looking) usopp to me so I'm excited. His instagram bio says he wants to become a brave warrior from the sea, i already love him.

Sanji: at first it's hard to see sanji without the hair, the eyebrows and the cigarette - you know, sanji - but, personally, i also felt he was quite FITTING so now I'm just looking forward for him the most actually. Also all were on point so i don't see why sanji would be different just because the actor is out of his outfit.

About netflix: I'm not sure on how much they were involved with the bleach live action but ever since I've got EXTREMELY positive about one piece and if cowboy bebop turns out as good as it looks in a couple of weeks, I'll be even more sure about it PLUS HAVE YOU SEEN THE GOING MERRY GUYS it is a dream come to life already
