It's off his most recent album but I don't see lots of discussion about it. This song makes you feel nostalgic and the chorus just shoots you into the sun with those high notes.

someone on tumblr said that this was his least streamed song and that’s criminal. this song is really stripping away the metaphors and subtext and just stating outright what’s wrong with the world. specifically government censorship and military violence. plus double check this but i think all proceeds are donated to blm!!

i’m sorry i realize i don’t talk about music that much on here but i just have to say HOW THE FUUUCKCK do i not see more people talking about swan upon leda by hozier. THAT IS THE MOST STUNNING SONG IVE EVER HEARD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. EVERY TIME IT COMES ON SHUFFLE ON MY PLAYLIST I HAVE TO STOP EVERYTHING IM DOING, PUT BOTH EARBUDS IN, TURN THE VOLUME UP TO AN UNGODLY LEVEL, AND JUST SIT THERE AND CLOSE MY EYES AND ABSORB IT. I WANT THAT SONG INJECTED INTO MY VEINS. AND ITS CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED. it’s not just the sound, even the lyrics are incredible!! they’re so poignant and meaningful and i highly recommend reading about it and anyways this is one of my absolute favorite hozier songs ever and i’m gonna need to see a little more appreciation for it. thanks.

I'd just like to say I think "Too Sweet" by Hozier is such a cute song for taizu🙏 it's also a very good song in general you should give it a listen
i just finished listening to it! ive only heard the snippet on tiktok before but i gotta say the whole thing was 10000% worth the listen tysm for the rec
i have played the track while rotating the bes blorbos in my brain and here are my thoughts
taimizu where mizu is hozier -> honestly i can see it because in comparison to mizu, everybody else is sweeter LOLL but fr it's true that taigen has been trying to keep mizu alive and taking critical damage in that dungeon for her with his "we're not done yet" ahh attitude so YEAH i think this could fit
akemizu where mizu is hozier -> this fits better in my opinion but also bc by comparison, akemi can be interpreted as sweeter than literally the entire cast !! but especially the scene where mizu betrays akemi by leaving her for her dad's guards to take, they might as well have played this song for the scene track atp i think this fits very well for them
taikemi where taigen is hozier -> this one works because the song has a depressing tone, and taigen is if not anything probably gonna be very depressed at the end of ep 8, BUT if you ask me, the biggest brain take is:
taikemi where akemi is hozier -> THIS ONE!!!!! not only is it unexpected and underrated, but lowkey i think akemi has the most interesting plot undercurrent where she will likely be making some power moves and dificult decisions in s2. mizu is out of the picture bc she has to be, but taigen wasn't out of the picture by end of ep8 and she STILL ended up leaving him in pursuit of greatness. she's taking the darkest most difficult road and side by side to taigen, he really is now too sweet for her. she's choosing the black coffee yall. whiskey neat, alcoholism on her breath as she bears the burdens of her country.

You were childhood friends with Luffy and the both of you had similar dreams. Both of you wanted to be pirates. A few people in your village didn’t exactly approve of this but neither of you cared. When you were old enough, you set off to chase your dreams.
The two of you met Koby and ended up in a village overrun by Marines called Shells Town. While in the bar there, your eyes caught sight of a man with green hair, three swords, and carrying a bag with the upper half of a body in it. To others, this would be terrifying. To you… Safe to say you were interested.
It took a lot to get him to join your crew, but when you did, you were ecstatic. If there was one thing a pirate crew needed, it was someone who knew how to use swords. Little did you know how much you were actually in for with him.
Zoro was a little stand-offish to most but you fought that to be endearing. You liked it. To be more exact, you liked him. Everyone could tell. It’s not like you tried you best to hide it.
• You always seemed to hang around Zoro. Wherever he was, you were there too. You liked his company and, while he wouldn’t admit it, he liked yours too. You guys were a good fit for each other. You bounced off of each other well and you guys were quite the fighting team.
You liked talking with Zoro, especially when you were stressed. His calming energy always helped you calm down. He helped you break everything down. When that wouldn’t work, he would help you get your mind off of everything. This was usually fixed with naps. The others had found the both of you leaning against each other in various places on the ship.
Of course, things can’t always be great. There were hard times and they were heading your way fast. This came in the form of Zoro’s battle with Dracule Mihawk.
You were painfully aware of who he was. You and Zoro had a time when it was late. You guys walked about what your dreams were. Zoro told you he wished to be the best swordsman in the world. He also told you that in order to do that, he needed to beat the current best swordsman, Dracule Mihawk. He told you of all the feats of the swordsman and you were impressed. Now you were less impressed and more terrified.
As soon as you were able to get Zoro alone, you expressed your worry for him. You told him you didn’t want him fighting against Mihawk. It wasn’t that you doubted his skill. But someone like Mihawk has been fighting for a long time. There was no way Zoro would win. Zoro didn’t take your words this way. He thought you were doubting him. This resulted in a big argument where you both said things you didn’t mean. With emotions running high, neither of you were thinking straight. You were so mad you refused to even show up to the fight.
And you were horrified to find your worst fears come true. Zoro got hurt badly and none of you knew if he was going to make it. You were a nervous wreck even after Zeff said he would hopefully be fine. You stayed by his bedside the entire time he was unconscious. You read him stories from books you hadn’t gotten from your previous stops, you told him stories from your childhood, you would beg him to wake up.
When he did finally wake up, all of your angry emotions from before were thrown away completely. You hugged him as tightly as you could and refused to let him go until he reassured you he was fine. You were constantly badgering him about being more careful so his injury wouldn’t get worse. He found this annoying at times but appreciated how you cared about him.
When you guys finally got together, these emotions increased much more but neither of you minded. You were together and that was all that mattered.

Rate from 0-10: This album is a 10 out of 10 for me, fully for emotional/nostalgia reasons lol. The Nina Cried Power EP and the singles from this album were all released while I was studying abroad so hearing any of those songs just immediately takes me back to like... wandering the streets of Copenhagen. And the full album came out in my last semester of undergrad so a lot of my best memories from college were like... soundtracked by this album. The only critique I've had of this album is that I was disappointed nfwmb and moment's silence didn't make it from the EP unto the full album, but he's adding both of those songs to the deluxe version coming out this April!
