The problem with listening to one German metal band that does a lot of songs in English but some in German is that now Spotify is recommending me some really good German metal bands but I also can't understand the songs for the life of me and now want to learn German even more than I did before but I know I am to exhausted to handle it right now but want toooooo :<
Anyways I have discovered I apparently like some metal but don't know how to test this past the few bands I've heard (Mono Inc., Eisbrecher, Valhalore) because I'm shy of trying new groups. If anyone has suggestions then I am open to them.
I've found that I love the instrumentation but am not a fan of rough/screamy vocals (some rough isn't bad but the very very very harsh isn't my thing), and in general I'm not a fan of romancy lyrics regardless of genre.

Chapter 9 of thank fuck it's done 9
It's not my best ending, I admit. A better one would have been having Sebastian break himself out in a Leliana's Song fashion. But the constraints of the storyline I'm working with prevented that. Instead, have some multiple layers. Honestly, this type of thing is the only explanation I can think of for why a rivaled Sebastian would bum around Kirkwall for 3 years between Acts 2 and 3 with Starkhaven right there ripe for the conquering. And it shows the power of any single Grand Cleric, that when necessary they are capable of choosing the same Right and Left Hands that the Divine herself is.
It explains why Elthina sends Sebastian to go meet with Leliana in Act 3. Send the Left Hands to go confer, have the nightingales sing, and each comes away with news. Like so much else in this worldstate, Hawke is only a narrative focus because it's Varric who tells the story.

Chapter 8 of 10
Note that I wrote most of chapters 9 and 10 before I ever tackled this one. I stalled at this one for one reason: I needed to know Karl's verse. I had everyone else's verse but not his. Until a week ago when Vengeance spoke to me.
"You want to hear his verse? FINE."
Then he began to sing. I merely had to write it down.
Even so, this scene in darkness has plagued me for a year. This was the first scene that came to me in March of last year when I began first playing Descent. This scene was how I knew Anders would be in my party. This is one of the anchoring scenes for the entire worldstate.
The mage's song is still Death or Life by MONO INC
