I think I may be close to getting a job! They said I was basically their finalist and it hinges on references (who will give glowing reviews, especially my last boss, who is still gutted that she has to let me go *shakes fist at stupid economy*).

It’s at a nonprofit, which is my jam, but in an industry that I haven’t really worked in before, so there will be a learning curve.

But I miss having more structure to my day and I am ready to not sigh when I see my slowly dwindling bank account.

I really wish my friends and family would stop recommending me for art or design projects whenever they hear that someone needs something.

On one hand, I really appreciate that they think of me and are trying to get me some extra money but I'd rather they ask me beforehand. My bf told one of his coworkers that I could probably help her out with designs for her wedding and this is the busiest time of the year at my job so like...no I couldn't lol

I didn't even realize she'd emailed me until he asked about it and, by that point, two weeks had passed. So now I feel guilty and embarrassed even though I didn't promise anything.

I have a very hard time saying no and, whenever I do, I feel like I need to justify myself. Saying "I'm tired" or "I'd really like to use my free time to recharge" has never been 'okay' in the sense that I grew up in a household where working yourself past the point of exhaustion and taking on more and more tasks was expected and encouraged and taking a break means you're a failure 🙃

Personally I think that Steven (Universe) and MK (LMK) are pretty similar.

They both have to live up to legends and that damages their self-esteem

They both are incredibly positive until that positivity becomes a facade

They both during their later seasons try to forget the heavy and I mean HEAVY amounts of trauma they've been through

Like look at these two. Look at these sad Bois. They need hugs and words of affirmation and therapy, So,soooo much therapy

Another thing is that these two are incredibly powerful

I’m just actually a little insane gremlin person like really I’m so impulsive I don’t believe in saving money I just be buying tickets to concerts and planning weekend trips to different states and using all my PTO and more to go overseas and buying expensive gifts for my besties and eating out all the time
