Chapter 19 of "Hope's Peak Popular"...was posted a few days ago, but I figure it ought to be shared here still.

For those who don't yet know, "Hope's Peak Popular" is another fanfiction of mine, though this one is more dramatic and angry than my other works. It's an American High School AU that I originally made after watching a little series called "LPS Popular" way back before YouTube made a lot of changes. I'm not sure if the original series is still available to view, but this fic eventually became something of it's own.

Synopsis:

When Kiyotaka gets the news that his family is moving states, the first thing on his mind is the reunion he'll have with his old childhood friend, Byakuya. After his first day in a new school, he quickly learns a few new things.

Byakuya doesn't feel the same way.

The guy who used to be his best friend is now an incredibly rich and popular tyrant.

Finding a new friendship with a few outcasts, Kiyotaka could go through his high school life under Byakuya and his clique's reign...

...but where's the fun in that?

I feel like Mondogami would be another “they should not be together” kind of ship.

Both of them have the potential to be a wholesome and helpful couple. However, the most likely outcome would be that they would recognize some parts of themselves in each other that they don’t like at all and destroy each other for it. What do you think?

Sexuality Headcanon: Biromantic asexual Gender Headcanon: Nonbinary. He's so egg. Mfer after his sexuality crisis like "whew glad that's over!" and then after his sexuality crisis 2: ace edition like "whew glad that's over!" newsflash baby it was most certainly not over. (he/him but you're a level seven friend you unlock she/her, they/them and pup/pups) A ship I have with said character: Must I say it. Ishimondo is what dragged me into this mess of a game in the first place. Thanks, I guess kings. They fit together so well I go insane every day thinking about them. Mondo is confused as to how all his friends became women who are much cooler than he will ever be but he is not complaining and also Leon is there too. A NOTP I have with said character: I don't like him and Takemichi paired together romantically that much I see Takemichi as like a third Owada brother tbh like its cute but not for me A random headcanon: Collects (and sometimes makes!) little wooden figurines of animals and hides them in a box underneath his bed. No one must see the secret stash. General Opinion over said character: I love him. If I met him in real life I'd avoid him at all costs. My poor little meow meow. Every time I see him I say "he's so dumb". He's the worst. He's the best. I'm taking him to therapy. He kins me.

OUGHHH THIS IS SO SO GOOD… mondo’s feelings of inferiority + need to prove his strength would be SO interesting against all the power byakuya has as his birthright.. esp bc to mondo, that’s just come easy to byakuya. he was born into power and leadership whereas mondo had it thrust upon him as a result of tragedy - but byakuya has suffered. he lost his siblings, his childhood, he never had parents or family or love, he’s only ever had his potential position. they both have something they other wants, though neither will admit it - byakuya has undeniable strength, and mondo has (or, well, had) a strong bond with family
