i can’t wait till all my exams are over & i can feel like a person again

#studied for bio until 1. sleeping now at 2. have to wake up early enough to finish studying for bio tmrw morning. exam in afternoon. study #for physics all afternoon & evening after that. physics exam friday morning. study for data management friday afternoon till monday evening #data exam tuesday morning & i need to aim for 100% fr #and then eid and then dentist appointment. I couldn't remember exactly, so I went back and searched Discord for images I sent and apparently it was just a super tame message.

The thing that made it significant, however, was the fact that I had never heard the Diggy Diggy Hole song before this year... despite having watched minecraft youtube videos since 2012. Somehow I missed that. A month or two ago I mentioned something from a different Impulse stream about diggy diggy and my friend @bibliobasilisk forced me to watch several iterations of the song (which I'm grateful for. It's a bop. As you would know).

So anyway I sent that screenshot to her like "hey look someone in chat said this" because i thought it was hilarious and then I was like "also I recognise their name from tumblr. unrelatedly". And then she was like "ah swedish tumblr, just looked them up" and then, being half swedish myself, I got hella excited:

And then I proceeded to scroll on your tumblr for like 20 minutes before unpausing the Impulse vod to continue watching. And I've been following you ever since then.

So a combination of me recognising your name, and my friend sussing out that you're Swedish (and the fact that diggy diggy is still relatively new to me) and bam. I'm here now.

I had my last singing lesson today and I honestly feel a bit sad that it’s over. Like, sure, I absolutely don’t want to continue and have never been happy over having a lesson scheduled, not even once, but I’ve been at it twice a week for four months, I got used to it, it’ll feel strange to not have to go again. The relief will probably come flooding in on Thursday when, due to a free period, I can go home an hour early and then not have lessons after, and that will hopefully overpower the melancholy

#also I tense like all my muscles while singing so now my back hurts 🥲#the thing is since I struggle with insomnia I usually need an afternoon nap #but by the time I get home from singing it’s already 4pm and if I nap then it’ll make it even harder to sleep at night #Wednesday is the only day when I get home no later than 2:30 so I can sleep #now Monday and Thursday are added to the list #thank fucking god #I’d love to add in Tuesday and Friday too but extra history is gonna be a staple until I pass the exam #so.. you win some you lose some. at least I now have more free afternoons where I’m not exhausted #so overall. good #I’m happy I finished the course #next Monday I have to drop in to get my completion certificate but after that I never have to step foot in that building again #okay technically.. I do because it’s the same building my dad’s SIL lives in #but you get my point

#spent my entire two days off either doing storm prep #or being tense and waiting for the storm to get worse #and then being tense and waiting for aftershocks because of course we had an earthquake in the middle of the storm #and i couldn't stop imagining the horrors #and now it's monday afternoon and i have to leave for work in 3 hours #and i'm so fucking tired and worn out from the past two days that my face is aching #like my cheeks and the skin around my eyes feels heavy #and my body in general feels the kind of tired-achy that usually signals an oncoming fibro flare up #which i absolutely cannot afford to have right now #and this morning the dogs woke me up at 5am #and then again at 7am #and i couldn't get back to sleep so i got up #but then i took a nap and now i feel more tired than before #ugh #gonna go take a cool shower maybe that will help #of course that will involve getting up from the armchair i'm sitting in which sounds awful #but i think i need to at this point #cass says things #this has been a complainy post #tbd
