୨🌷ɞ﹒₊˚synopsis: when yeonjun found a secret area of the school, he thought he could use it as his safe place to run to whenever he needed a hit from his vape, but in the end he found himself with a poltergeist who he feels the need to help pass onto the after life

yeonjun was already at his limit, his tolerance was already gone and all he wanted to do was take out his pina colada flavored vape and hit it until he was buzzed enough to deal with people

if no one bothered him he probably would’ve been okay enough to stay in class but beomgyu had to bitch him about his attitude and make it worse, as his little brother, yeonjun hoped that beomgyu would understand why he was upset but he didn’t and couldn’t like the rest of his old friend group that he left

yeonjun took a deep sigh remembering the last time he actually talked to soobin, taehyun, or kai and the only time the conversation went in a decent route was with kai, he often wondered how the younger was doing, but with taehyun or soobin on the other hand, it was disastrous

“finally i’m alone” as the male said that he felt as if he was being watched, it was impossible for any of his classmates to be here because this part of the outside was blocked off and he could be up for expulsion if found

he found it weird how he could get expelled for sitting on grass but who was he to judge? even after looking around for five minutes he just couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched

a girl around his age sitting in a tree above him watching him curiously, he found it frustrating that she didn’t even say that someone else was here and kept watching him without saying any thing to indicate her presence

“you fucking creep stop watching me” at the call out of her peeping tom behavior she stared appalled and pointed to herself and yeonjun was furious

“yeah who else? you’re the only one besides me you fucking weirdo why do you keep looking at me” “you can see me?” yeonjun groaned at the obvious statement and was debating on if he should feed into her behavior knowing she was an idiot

“yes i can, why do you keep watching me weird girl” “because no one comes here, why are you here” yeonjun raised and eyebrow and crossed his arms at her audacity “don’t question me, i can be wherever i want, why are you here?”

“because i can’t leave” yeonjun was confused at this which caused the girl to jump from the tree and walk towards him “what the fuck are you doing” “just watch” and he did just that as she phased through his body

yeonjun gasped for what felt like five minutes of drowning and losing hearing even though it was less than five seconds of her phasing through in reality

yeonjun was still shocked at the fact he had an encounter with an actual ghost, he knew it had to be real since he obviously wasn’t drunk, and he doesn’t do hard drugs as to where he would be having hallucinations

and also due to the fact she was in his living room right now, even she didn’t know why she wanted to stay close to him but now that he had interacted with her, she needed to be within 100 feet of him or else he would start feeling terrible

not wanting to disrespect the dead he started up a conversation with her trying to learn why he was the only one to be able to see her

“so how did you die” “i don’t know” “how old are you” “i don’t know” “what’s your name” “i don’t know” yeonjun sighed and bounced his leg in irritation “well what do you know”

“i was murdered, i had a soulmate, i majored in film and directing while i was alive, and my last name is kang” “that’s all?” “yeah, i do know i had a friend named chaewon who goes to hybe i think”

yeonjun nodded and asked her about chaewon to see if he knew her to which he did because he had his morning lecture with her

the poltergeist immediately beamed at the call of tattoos and mentioned she had a bit of them “tell me the meaning” yeonjun sighed and told her about how his soul mate died and that’s where the original mark was so he got it to keep their legacy with them

“you’re so amazing yeonjun, that’s romantic, i just know they’re so happy to have you, i’m so sorry” “shit happens, but i’ll help you figure out why you’re tethered to me kang” the girl began to tear up which she didn’t know was possible “thank you yeonjun, thank you”

“i feel like it’s what my soulmate would’ve wanted, so if i can’t find out what happened to my soulmate, at least someone else will find out what happened to theirs, tomorrow i’ll talk to chaewon to find out your name and from there who knows”

with that she phased out of his room and went somewhere else into the house so he can sleep peacefully, like he’ll be able to sleep good after what happened today

yeonjun came to class early this tuesday, he made a promise to kang and he intended to keep it even if he didn’t know her personally, but first things first he would find chaewon at the very least

which wasn’t hard because she always sat by herself in the garden for an hour every day and during this time she’s in the botanical garden in the tulip field

“it’s important and about your best friend” at the call of her best friend she got defensive “i don’t want to hear any fucking rumors about y/n leave me alone”

the ghost beside him gasped in recognition at the name “kang y/n! that’s me, that’s my name, oh my god i remember” “that’s good kang! any thing else”

yeonjun remembered he was the only one to see the poltergeist and chaewon cursed at the male “chaewon woah woah woah i promise i’m not making fun of your, believe me or not your best friends ghost is here right now and i’m trying to solve her murder”

“yeonjun you’re not funny get the fuck away from me” “i promise you, y/n is here right now” chaewon sniffled and was ready to hit yeonjun but then she considered he may be telling the truth

yeonjun took the tulip and handed it to the girl and when he did it disappeared from the view of everyone but him and y/n “i miss you too chae” at the mention of this y/n kissed her best friends cheek causing her to shudder” “be safe you two”

it’s been two whole weeks of researching and trying to put together puzzle pieces but getting absolutely nothing in return except for dead ends

i stared at the black haired boy wondering why he was so hellbent on solving my murder even if it meant slacking in school, i sighed while the thought of moving on came to fruition

i was dead, there’s no reason to get held back for me when you don’t even know me but for some reason i’m glad he did but at the same time if he knew the truth about me he would leave and i would move on to the after life and the way i’m lying just so that he won’t leave it seems like i’ll go to hell

after yeonjun stepped out of the car he thought about how insensitive y/n has been but he also remembered love makes people do crazy things so despite the fact he felt like crying he wanted to make up with the ghost girl

i came to shortly after everything turned white, i was standing in the middle of a field on tulips wearing all white contrary to the outfit i wore when i was murdered

“why am i here?” “you’re here because you have been unfairly murder and someone on earth still needs you “who still needs me” “you have a soulmate and he’s well and alive, you two met as well”

i stared at the woman who was beauty herself and had a harp on her lap, knowing that she was the angel of death “years ago i made a deal with three families and if they violate the deal then they die, and since they violated the deal they’re going to die painfully”

“your sister is back, i can feel it” “well yeah in her he burial grounds” “yeonjun?” at the call of his name he made eye contact with the girl and felt a burning on his pinky and gasped when he saw the same thing occurring on y/n

“you’re my-” “i am yeonjun, and there’s no need to dig up my body, in a week my murderers will be dead due to making a deal with an angel and breaking it” “are you okay where were you” “i was in the limbo to be honest, i found out how i died since you told me”

“oh” it was awkward until y/n stepped up and taehyun saw his sisters ghost and gasped “y/n” “taehyun? oh my god” the siblings saw each other for the first time in almost 12 years and embraced each other only to let go because y/n and yeonjun hugged as well

“i’m sorry y/n” “it’s okay tae all is well, speaking of sorry, i’m sorry yeo- hmph!” the girl was cut off due to her soulmate placing a kiss onto her lips knowing that they were together for life

yeah she wishes the circumstances were way different and they could have children, legally get married, and show their relationship like a normal couple

but she’s happy nonetheless knowing that they are tethered for life even if it took her dying to get the happiness she lived for
