Nikola Tesla: Father of the Modern Technology
Tumblr media
It might not be known to most, but Nikola Tesla is partly responsible for the digital age we all live in today. He is acknowledged as the inventor of the AND logic gate circuit which is a vital part of every computer or smart device used today. For Tesla, it all began in 1891 when he patented his Tesla Coil. His coil could produce voltages into the millions, but the first digital computer semiconductor arrays operated at 3 to 5 volts. In the early evolution of computers, the manufacturers were using the AND function which was first demonstrated using Tesla Coils. In the middle of the 1890s, Tesla was working on a concept which he called “The Art of Individualization.” This was connected to the invention of his remote control apparatus which he later displayed to the public in 1898. This entailed devising certain methods of selectively activating several wireless receivers, which involved multiple transmissions of energy on separate frequencies. This literally translated to the AND logic gate function because each individual frequency had to be tuned to the wireless receivers and to the transmitter in order to respond. After his experiments in Colorado Springs in 1899, Nikola Tesla submitted two patents, one being a “System of Signaling,” and the other being a “Method of Signaling.” These both described the AND gate circuit, and since Tesla proposed a security system based on two channels, it confirmed Tesla as a forerunner of the principle of modern computers, and one of the true fathers of the modern technology we all use today!

why am I so enamored with everything instant?
(a not-so-long essay)
Tumblr media
At times, I simply want instant results without dwelling on the process, a sentiment I'm sure resonates with others worldwide, particularly among Gen Zs like myself.
It made me wonder, why we favor instant gratification over appreciating the beauty of the journey?
But now, I understand why: we live in a world that thrives on instant everything.
We've grown up in a fast-paced world, where everything happens quickly, even in terms of boiling instant noodles or finding readily available frozen foods.
When humans become accustomed to something, we often overlook its origins and reasons, leading us to take it for granted without contemplating its source or purpose.
Can we truly value the "process" if we're unaware of its existence?
For me, I've experienced times when not everything was instant, especially in communication, with devices like pagers and rotary phones.
Now, we can effortlessly make live calls or even video chats, while TVs offer advanced features with numerous streaming platforms, and we can even broadcast from our smartphones.
What's the cause? It's simple: the internet. However, it's not inherently negative; it's our human tendency to crave instant gratification, aided by advanced technology and the internet.
Sometimes, it weighs on me, making me overlook the beauty of the process.
But I believe that learning to appreciate the beauty of the process is, in itself, a process that requires cherishing every moment of it.
Now, I'm working on avoiding the need for instant results. Pausing occasionally to savor the beauty of the process can enhance the value of my work.

I hope the trend of removing the jacks from tech dies a slow and painful death. the connection to make my usb c headphones work is literally a SOFTWARE thing and it's so buggy and of course Samsung isn't gonna fix it. I'm so fucking tired of this I just want my tech to fucking work without having to buy headphones I have to charge. who thought this would be a good idea. I'm tired.

Here's the 5th part! I genuinely hope y'all are enjoying the Æylphitus so far.
Golekhamiv (name meaning: to be wrapped up and folded or shapeless mass):
Earthly clay
Throughout history, it’s highly debated if the Golekhamiv are an actual Æylphitus breed. Unlike most Æylphitus breeds, the Golekhamiv don’t really have any form of society or a consistent belief system. Golekhamiv societies do exist, but it’s a very rare occurrence and they aren’t seen as “traditional.” All are brought to life through creative magic, alchemy or necromancy. They’re made out of very specific raw materials and these include:
Flesh and organs of the freshly deceased
Modern or ancient technology
Minerals/crystals/precious stones/gemstones
These beings are usually created for a specific purpose and commonly serve magical humans, sky inhabitants, Awukhoziels, and weaker Æylphitus. They act as guardians of a certain area or an assistant of their creator’s craft/work. However, some Golekhamiv are independent from their creators and strive to live their own life. It’s believed that their beliefs, motivations, and emotions are connected to their creators, but that’s questionable. Amongst humans and other Æylphitus, they commonly refer the Golekhamiv as golems and automations.
