- all prisoners in Green Dolphin are stripped of magical abilities via the blue wristbands- unicorns can’t use magic, pegasi can’t fly, changelings can’t transform etc, but Hamon is somehow the exception

- recently in the prison, creatures other than ponies have been seen with cutie marks… it’s a real mystery 🤔

Part 4: Friendship is Unbreakable 💎💥 (1/2)

- Mori-oat, Japone

- this part takes place a little bit before Twilight became ruler, when other creatures were starting to integrate more in Equestria (i know it doesn’t rlly make sense timeline-wise but just pretend it does. chalk it up to horse years or something lmao)

- instead of giving stands, the arrow is wayyy more unpredictable and tends to amplify any magic that all races/creatures have. eg making someone physically stronger, giving cutie marks that can change, amplifying special talents etc

- because of this Stardust and Chariot have even more incentive to collect and study the arrows, bc who knows what it could do in the wrong hooves

- for example it gave Akira the ability to conduct electricity through his body (and also play guitar better) and it made Clandestine’s magic way stronger

- credit where credit is due, i believe i got the inspiration for Bucks name from @/catboymoments

Part 5: Pinto Aureo/Golden Wing 🐞 (1/3)

- might have stolen @/toytle’s fugo and trish/diavolo concepts my bad

- this part takes place a little bit after twilight would become ruler

- Morning Glory already knows how to heal cause of hamon (he doesn’t actually know it’s hamon though)

- poor Glory got thrown out after turning gold cause his parents didn’t recognize him at all :(

- i made Guido flightless because i liked his design too much to make him not a griffin, but at the same time i liked the idea of Divebomb being the team’s sole eye in the sky. plus it’s a lot easier to shoot arrows with digits than hooves

- not a whole lot else to say atm, stay tuned for more

- Risotto is based off the gift givers in the Best Gift Ever special

- Devil Darner does not have time powers, he’s just really really good at sneak attacks and throwing opponents off

- Devil communicates and gives orders to his underlings via magic scrolls (a la Celestia)

- i was gonna make a joke about how phones haven’t been invented yet so Dialtone is literally just making weird noises and talking to objects, but then i looked it up and turns out there ARE phones in equestria so. that’s out the window

- Moon Mantra does magic through chants and spoken spells mostly

- also i made him a psychologist instead of a priest since religion isn’t rlly a thing in the mlpverse, he’s very philosophical and psychoanalyzes a lot

- DIO’s original plan was to have someone rule by his side (cause yknow, you gotta have a right hand man), and that pony happened to be Mantra. Unfortunately since he was a pegasus they had to come up with some other way to make him into an alicorn instead of vampirification

- so then after DIO’s defeat, Mantra’s main goal is to become an alicorn first, then find a way to bring him back

Part 3: Stardust Cru-hay-ders (1/2)

some notes:

- this would take place around s1-3 of friendship is magic

- Stardust can’t really actively use Hamon, Lucky tries to teach him but it doesn’t really work out. It’s just kinda powering him up until the end of the Dio fight, after which he starts to slowly learn a bit over time. he’s still not great at it though

- Dio has had much time to think/mind-train under the sea… however he was too weak to actually carry out any of the magic he thought about until 100 years later, where he broke free from the coffin and out of the ocean (no fishermen involved). He does his best to stay under the princesses’ radar this time until he’s sure he’s powerful enough to take the throne by force

- His grudge towards Starry’s bloodline becomes so intense that it manifests as a magical curse (think Starlight in that one episode but 100x stronger and reaches all the way across Equestria) Lucky and Stardust feel its effects, but it ends up hitting Holly the hardest, which starts them on their journey to find and kill Dio

- Dio learns of the centaurs abilities to absorb the magic of others, and spends his 4 years sucking not just blood but the very magical essence from his victims. this ends up making him about as powerful as an ACTUAL alicorn

- joestar blood => the bloodlines strong magical essence and their innate knack for hamon mastery, which is similar to celestias magic

- Emerald could’ve easily been turned into an “alicorn” vampony had he stayed on Dio’s side. just something to think about

Part 6: Pone Ocean 🦋 (3/3)

- Even though none of DIO’s other sons are unicorns, they all possess somewhat supernatural abilities (which turned more magical once Mantra found them)

- Sky Fly can communicate with bugs, and later on realized he could control them

- Rhapsody, originally a freeloader who would just daydream and stay in his own fantasy world, can now bring those fantasies to life

- Down Under would often find things buried underground- mementos, artifacts, even just things that people lost, which later became the power to dig up actual memories. Mantra found potential in this power especially and believed it would be the key to bringing back DIO (he would have to find another way to do that after D.U. defected)

- The thing with Mantra becoming an alicorn and DIO’s horn is that it’s so much magic, continuously becoming more and more powerful, that it becomes harder and harder to control as well (think to the Tirek episodes when the princesses had to give Twi their magic). There’s not really a certain place Mantra had to reach to “ascend” like in canon, he was mostly stalling till he grew powerful enough to do what he needed to do

- …which would be his downfall. with great power comes great possibility of erasing yourself from the universe apparently

(3/3) unita speciale and ending hijinks

- i wish i didn’t have to split this part into 3 there’s too many gd freakshows in golden wind (also lots of dragons this part i just realized)

- once again, the arrow is way more unpredictable here than in canon, it’s effects could range from slightly improved physical abilities to creating a weird shadow creature to making someone an alicorn

- Chariot stabbed himself with the arrow before dying, but he was able to possess the magic turtle shell before disappearing, which he just lives in after that. the stabbing allowed his strong determination to keep the arrow away from Devil Darner manifest into a physical form, Requiem

- speaking of Devil the reason he wants the arrow in the first place is cause he sees anyone else having it as a threat, instead of whatever happened in canon

- Requiem was based on the pony of shadows kinda, it’s more of an apparition than anything. Devil (who has also ended up as a kind of phantom similar to ghosty Sombra) gets rid of him in a weird spirit battle kinda thing and reverts all the soul swaps. Devil stays in this form though, which is how Glory is able to throw him out of space-time in the first place

- (the whole phantom thing is supposed to be like when he was just a stand and possessing people and stuff) the diavolo fight and the requiem stuff still confuses me honestly lmfao

- i couldn’t decide whether to have Stray Cat exist in this au or just have Clandestine make the air bubble bombs himself, so it’s really up to you guys. Schrodingers Stray Cat

- the reason Lucky Stars came to Morioat is a little different, since he doesn’t exactly have clairvoyant abilities like Joseph does they don’t really have a reason to bring him there, so he mostly just comes to connect with his son (friendship is magic)

- Clandie was impaled by the arrow, which made his magic go haywire and automatically do anything it could to protect him, which led to all the timey-wimey stuff

- the reason i changed the ambulance thing is cause everything in mlp is horse-drawn, so they definitely would’ve stopped before running over him lol

Part 2: Saddle Tendency

more fun facts that i couldn’t fit in the post

- Skilled Hamon users know that silver horseshoes are the best conductor- Lucky is not one of those ponies

- Centaurs aren’t directly weak to sunlight, in this version of events the Hamon techniques used against them are just harmful in general and are able to counter their magic

- The Red Stone of Aja is a known artifact in Equestria (as a powerful conduit for magic), the centaurs wanted to seize it and use it together with the power of the rising sun (celestian magic again) and become ultra-powerful, taking over Equestria overnight, but their shenanigans didn’t go unnoticed and they ended up being defeated by the Pillars (Starswirl’s gang) ironically enough

- Santana, Eisidisi and Wamuu end up being sent to Tartarus. Still alive technically, just extremely weakened

- About Kars’ defeat: back when Luna was banished, the magic from the Elements and Celestia combined was so strong that it left small traces of that spell, which was conducted trough the RSoA. also something something last hamon something something friendship is magic

- stroheim does not exist
