The Mermaid Princess (CC List)

I was super excited for the new live action 'The Little Mermaid', and I decided to make some cc inspired by it when I couldn't find much out there (especially for base game - the mermaid outfit is a dress, no Island Living needed). I started on most of these before seeing the film, but I tried to make adjustments after watching it.

This is the first time that I've made cc for The Sims 4, so I did the best I could with recoloring existing meshes (a HUGE thanks to those creators!). I made a few cc items way back when for The Sims 2 or 3, but it's been a while. I really enjoyed the process, so hopefully you'll see more creations from me in the future!

The meshes for the recolors are linked below, and the recolor files are attached on Patreon for free (no subscription needed). You'll need both the mesh and recolor for them to work. Let me know if you have any issues, and I'll see what I can do to help! If you created any of the cc that I used and would like me to credit you in a different way, please reach out to me.

THE TRUE STORIES LEGACY CHALLENGE 🤍

- This challenge was written by me, Emberaie! I really hope you enjoy my challenge & if you play it please tag me! The True Stories Legacy generations aren't based on true events, but are detailed storylines that have a more realistic/dramatic touch! (I needed more drama in my game ahaha) Enjoy!! -

(dark topics like drugs, cheating & abuse will be mentioned so please be advised while playing this challenge!!)

RULES:

You may do anything outside the rules unless stated otherwise eg. If the generation requires you to max a specific skill, you may still max other non-related skills if you wish!

You must complete the goals in each generation to fully complete it, however, if you would like to move on to the next generation as a toddler and come back to the previous generation after, that is also fine as long as you still complete everything.

Complete the goals in order for the story to make the most sense.

Any other children’s traits can be selected, it’s only the heir’s traits that must be according to the rules.

There is a color palette for each generation, this will be your heir’s favorite colors!!

Must play lifespan on normal.

Many of the generations include multiple packs, therefore, it is recommended that you have all of them installed. (I also modified the challenge like the modded rules ) :)

Generation One : - The Runaway - “Criminal falls in love & changes their heart”

Story - 💕

When you were a child, you were often forgotten and left to fend for yourself. Your parents had no intention of raising you or even loving you. So, you grew up quite independent and angry. When you got old enough you realized that you had no intention of maintaining a relationship with your family… or even having one of your own.

So, when you aged up to a teenager, you decided you’ve had enough. You would look around at your fellow classmates who have these large families with money and you couldn't help but resent them. After falling in with the wrong crowd, you earned a disdain for education and being in high school at all. So, you decided to leave it all behind. You didn’t really have anyone you cared about in your old life so it would be easy, right? Living life as a runaway teen wasn’t the life you originally wanted. But, if you were being honest, it was much better than your life at home. Scavenging in dumpsters and being a petty thief became your usual day to day, the only thing that made your “life” worth something was working out. Punching a boxing bag or jogging down the pier made you feel alive.

But, after a while of living on your own and rummaging to survive, you realize you needed something more. Maybe some nice food? Without a highschool education it became pretty difficult to find a job. Eventually, you meet a well-known drug dealer who took pity on you and decided to train you in their business, officially starting your life as a criminal. Surprisingly, you were pretty successful. Your lack of emotions and loner lifestyle made you perfect for the career of a drug dealer. After successfully making a pretty good life for yourself by flying through the ranks and becoming well respected in the business, for some reason, you felt unsatisfied. Your life felt empty, without meaning. Now, being an adult you started to feel regret for the choices you made in high school, wishing more than anything you could go back and change your decisions.

Soon enough, you meet someone that makes you rethink everything. You fall in love. Your life feels like it was turned upside down, everything you once thought was wrong and now you want a different life. Your partner encourages you to be yourself, the person you were before all the resentment and anger. They understand how difficult your life was and accept you, for you. It makes you feel loved for the first time in your life. You started to imagine what it would be like to have a family of your own with your partner, to feel loved and to love others. You decide to quit your job as a drug dealer and become a stay-at-home parent and do whatever you can to be a super parent to your kids. You decide to give your kids the life you wanted, the life you deserved. Soon, you found true meaning to your life and realized all along, it was family.

Oh, how love could change a heart.

Build a shabby home for yourself using the furniture & money you collect.

Don’t go to school.

Be an F student.

Add the simple living lot challenge.

Young Adult / Adult / Elder -

Become a drug dealer using the basemental mod.

< Skip this step & continue to step 6 if playing w/ no mods. >

Join the criminal career.

Master fitness skill lvl. 10.

Reach mischief lvl. 5.

Complete the Public Enemy aspiration.

Meet a partner w/ the Good trait.

After reaching 50% romance w/ partner, change traits.

Kleptomaniac -> Family-Oriented // Mean -> Romantic

Re-select your aspiration to be a super-parent.

Have a private wedding at home.

Quit your job as a criminal & become a stay-at-home parent.

Have more than 2 children.

Have all toddlers receive the Happy Toddler reward trait.

Have all children complete their aspiration.

Master parenting skill lvl. 10.

Master wellness skill lvl. 10.

Complete the Super Parent aspiration.

Take your toddlers/children to the park every week.

Help with your children's school projects every time.

Knit clothes & toys for your children/grandchildren.

Generation Two : - The Detective - “Rookie police officer finds new love in the city”

Story - 🚓

Growing up, you had a nearly perfect childhood. Your parents made sure that you lived a life full of love and care. And you were incredibly grateful for the life they gave you! You were encouraged to be yourself and do your best at school or whatever extracurricular you were in. But you were good at them all! You loved school and were always getting great grades, but also excelled in athletics! You always assumed your parents had the “perfect” life since they never really talked about their past, and you were happy!!

But, as you grew up you accidentally found the truth about your mom/dad’s past and what they did when they were younger. They were a criminal. Although you loved your mom/dad, your whole childhood was a lie! They raised you to have extremely strong morals, to always follow the law, and be kind to others, no matter what. You felt betrayed by them. For the rest of your teenhood, your relationship with your mom/dad became difficult. You couldn’t help but argue with them about basically everything. You couldn’t believe they lied to you or planned on never telling you! You value honesty over EVERYTHING, so how could you trust your mom/dad now? Luckily, you had one person to help you through everything. Your boyfriend/girlfriend. They were there for you to vent, cry, or whatever you needed. They were your rock.

When you became a young adult, your mom/dad had a deep conversation with you about their past and why they did what they did. It was difficult to hear about everything they went through. So, you felt bad for the way you treated your mom/dad after they struggled and sacrificed so much for you. When you realized how lucky your mom/dad was to escape the criminal life and to live a wonderful life, it made you think about all those runaway kids out there who will fall into the criminal life and most likely never make it out. So, you decided to become a detective. To help those in need, and to be there when others need you. Unlike anyone your mom/dad had. Plus, you would be really good at it. You're smart, athletic, and confident, and value honesty above everything! It would be perfect. So, you and your girlfriend/boyfriend move to the big city to pursue your newly formed dream! It was rough at first, being a rookie officer, but you loved it. Solving crimes and punishing people who hurt others like your mom/dad felt empowering. But, your whole life was about to change.

After finally being promoted to detective, you meet your new partner. The two of you IMMEDIATELY hit it off. Soon, you were going to the gym together, getting coffee before work and before long, you became really close. Not to mention they were incredibly attractive and free-going like you. You loved going out to nightclubs, bars and just being a young adult! But, someone was holding you back. Your girlfriend/boyfriend was the opposite, a homebody who was ready to settle down, maybe move back to the countryside. But, you weren’t ready for a family, kids. You were just starting off your career! You loved them, but your visions for the future were so different. It was becoming more and more difficult to share your cramped one-bedroom apartment with them and their constant nagging. But, you’re loyal… right?

Sometimes you need to learn how to forgive.

Ok bestie i MUST ask: which gshade/reshade preset do you use? I'm struggling with mines

SO, I use a mix of sumahama, Misslollypop's presets and the nesurii sunset vinyl ones- HOWEVER I modify ALL my shaders.

I am SO picky its literally stupid. Generally its about finding the film grain and the sepia tint and editing the sepia tint to my liking LMAOO, after that I use some effects in photoshop!!

See I have this same problem! I have my own male sims up on the gallery if you’d want to try and download them, but I’m not the best at male sims. I usually grab some off of Misslollypops gallery tag because there’s always good male sims there! If you’d want me to do a male sim dump including the cc I can also try and do that! ❤️

how big is your mods folder? idk in the 1000's prbly,Idk how to check how many files I have and I am not counting them....

how would you describe your style? lol as someone who has OSDD that is a hard thing to differentiate...I don't have a set style, Sim or otherwise.

what is your favorite challenge? I've only done 2 challenges. The Zodiac one (which was being buggy so I quit) and the crybaby whims one which I am on currently. Unless you count Random Genetics. I am planning on doing the Teen Runaway and Whimsy Stories.

do you make cc? if so, what kind? No Idk how.

what type of cc do you hoard? Mainly CAS items and Clutter. But lately I have been downloading alot of Mods.

what’s the farthest you’ve gotten in a challenge? Currently with My Crybaby Whims Challenge, Delilah had twins with her husband but also her ex (twice which was an accident) So now she has 3 sets of twins which was a nightmare until I aged them up. Victor and Liliana know about the affairs (I also think they may like each other) so now I'm just waiting for Delilah to age up so she can get a divorce, move out with the kids and become a politician. I might have her become official with Lorenzo but he's kind of a tool...so...
