the post prod caption says they're simulating a wedding proposal, but frankie straight up said "wedding" so... yeah. i just translated accordingly to the captions lol.
Disclaimer:
Translations may contain inaccuracies! Cantonese is not my first language, and I don’t have full cultural context cause I don't live in Hong Kong.
i heard you can make executive decisions for all to reread an article? here's my blog post with an unsolicited duck. you will learn what a sky mirror is, and you will have a great time.
theres so much to say about how writers of atla cherrypicked various genocidal / colonial events and applied them as themes within the show so much so that it shows how uneducated and narrowminded people are with history
the horrifying LED screen fall nearly killing an idol, let's talk about it.
in Hong Kong, during a performance, a boy group was performing when a considerably giant LED screen fell from above and crushed one boy member and another one. graphic image please watch care if you decide to watch this but I want to talk about it. Just how in the world is this happening!? and are they gonna sue? Mirror better all band together and sue the hell out of these venue owners. I have so many questions, imagine if this happened to a korean group or bts?! chilee
update: the main guy who was crushed is intensive care and nearly brain dead, I've heard a coma but he's really not doing well. I hope his family manages this situation well and really confronts the label, the concert hall and anyone involved in compensation and funeral / memorial damages.
THE coolest booth I saw at the VIP Preview of Art Basel Hong Kong yesterday: HK-born artist Mak2’s site-specific installation Copy of Copy of Copy of Copy at de Sarthe, a HK gallery. Notice how the top is a mirror image of the booth itself! // (c) Jenny Lam 2024
