littlebug valentine's day zine preview!

ok, i am so stoked to share a sneak peek of what me and my littlebug friends have been working on! prepare yourselves, it's almost ready!

“This?” he asked, holding up the magazine and pointing a clawed finger into the center of Adrien Agreste’s chest. “This is yours?"

“Shut up,” she hissed, making a fast grab for it. “Give it back.”

Chat Noir dodged her swipe and, with a click of his baton, rose up from the alleyway and disappeared out of sight over the edge of the adjoining rooftop. Cheeks flaming, Ladybug tossed her yo-yo around the iron rod of a fire escape railing and swung high, landing hard on both feet before him.

He was crouched atop the smokestack, the magazine pages crinkling as he rifled through. “So you like fashion, my lady?”

“Who doesn’t like fashion?” she said, exasperated.

“Gabriel has some pretty good designs, I guess.” Chat Noir raised the magazine to eye-level, his ears perked with interest. “You did get this for the designs… right, my lady?”

“My Lady...” Adrien's hand was on the side of her face, caressing her freckled cheekbone with his clawed thumb so softly, so tender that it was threatening to melt Marinette to a pile of goo. “I need to know who Buttercup is” His voice was a mere whisper, Adrien's eyes pleaded for her answer, his face at the verge of breaking, but his eyes, his bright beautiful green eyes surrounded by black were shining so brightly that Marinette felt herself flush. She couldn't leave him without an answer and the words couldn't get out of her throat. “Oh, Chaton” Marinette slowly cupped his hand in her's, softly squeezing as she leaned more into it's warmth.

Marinette pushed herself up onto her elbows, surveying the damage. The flowers she’d landed on were crushed, their petals bruised and stems flattened. A few inches away was a little green sign poking out of the ground, informing her of exactly what she’d just destroyed: Ranunculus Adoneus (Alpine Buttercup) Of course they were buttercups. Clumsy, awkward, Marinette, so caught up in her own problems that she hadn’t seen the rocks in her path, tripped and fell and trampled on the flowers. Of course. Maladroit Marinette, destroying something beautiful before she’d had a chance to appreciate it. Blundering, ham-handed Marinette, making a mess of everything she touched. Inconsiderate, thoughtless Marinette, who’d tried to make her team stronger and ended up tearing it apart. Who’d tried to fix her partnership and somehow made it worse. Marinette dropped her head back down in defeat. Maybe if she just laid here in the dirt, she wouldn’t ruin anything else. »

So @bittersweetresilience was doing a liveblogging of team is a four letter word by @ladyofthenoodle and just like everytime i read it i was going insane for Marinette just tripping on top of the buttercups, she's pretty, she's pathetic, she had her good reasons but everything went wrong. I just love the way Noodles writes her<3
