Sonic World project plan: Silver & Blaze (Vol. 1)
This series is not an assured project. It is a concept that can still be changed or scrapped.
Synopsis
There has been an anachronism in the timeline. Silver goes into space to investigate. They have to fight Dark Oak and the Metarex to save the timeline. Both also run into a mysterious new fiend named Paradox.
Characters
Silver the Hedgehog - An optimistic, telekinetic hedgehog who comes from the future. He travelled into space to stop an event that will destroy the future.
Blaze the Cat - The princess of the Sol Dimension and best friend of Silver. She has pyrokinetic powers.
Dark Oak - The leader of the Metarex. He is a half-cybernetic/half-botanical alien being. He seeks to spread floronic life across the universe that will destroy all beings of flesh.
Paradox the Hedgehog - A mysterious purple hedgehog connected to Dark Oak. He wears high-tech speed shoes.
Black Narcissus - A narcissistic high-ranking member of the Metarex.
Urthia - A female high-ranking member of the Metarex with a wrathful personality.

Round 1 - Top Left
This poll is for the ship of Eggman/Thunderbolt from the Archie Sonic Comics vs Eggman/Metarex from Sonic X, which I believe is... this group of robots? I'm not super familiar with Sonic X, so I hope I got this submission right!
All ships included were submitted to us. This tournament does not accept insults towards either ship - use propaganda to uplift your fave, not put down the opponent

Just a random thought
If Cosmo had been a spy for the Metarex, wouldn’t they have avoided harming her in some way? Or they just really didn’t care.

I can imagine that you are full of questions to answer every now and then, but thinking about Sonic X, do you think Green Gate, the home planet of the fan-termed, yet fittingly accurate, Seedrians, was at war with Cascade, where an advanced civilization of “Humans” prospered until the Metarex stole their Planet Egg?
It’s been brought up on the Sonic News Network here and there, but I suppose it would fit the flashbacks that went with Earthia’s story and explain why the Metarex hate Cascade’s surviving Resistance fighters so much.
At the same time, however, I can’t be sure since it wasn’t exactly spelled out in-universe, and as some older issues of Archie and Fleetway Sonic prove, it’s common to put stock images of characters whose appearances might not fit the exact time from Archie!Robotnik having the look of a grown man while Sally Acorn’s father was a very young prince to Fleetway!Robotnik having his Adventures design at the same time it was explained why Amy Rose had pink fur.
Huh. That is definitely not an angle I ever considered, and it would make as much sense as anything else given X's abject refusal to elaborate on a lot of the stuff it set up. I kinda figured though that the Metarex detested the Cascade Resistance for basically refusing to sit back and die rather than having any special reason for hating them. Given that their whole schtick is trying to destroy animal life so that plant life may prosper and rule over creation I never really got any sense of things being personal, just them being pissy at the Resistance for making their job more difficult than they liked.
An interesting thought, all the same. Particularly since it seems that the enemy of Cosmo's people in that war made use of pretty standard looking 'space fighter' jets that you might expect humans or a humanlike people to use.

Last night I had a dream in which SnapCube was doing a Real-Time Fandub of "the Dark Metarex Saga", except I haven't seen Sonic X, so the dream made up Metarex as these liquid-metal-shapeshifters a la T-1000 who were specifically clones of Sonic, or possibly Mecha Sonic. "Dark Metarex" in particular was actually a good guy Metarex, who was taking the place of Sonic during an arc in which the real Sonic had supposedly been killed. Or maybe that part was just how the Fandub was going, I can't remember how "this was a real-time fandub" actually fit in beyond several parts being nonsense-comedy.

Positive: the Metarex from Sonic X.
Okay, so... while the execution is of course not the greatest, I can at least credit Dark Oak for having something of a defined motivation beyond for evil's own sake?
It's small, and barely used to its full potential, but compared to other non-Eggman villains in this franchise, it's worth acknowledging the relative effort if nothing else.
