Coley Park were a Reading, UK band active in the early 2000s. Big Potato Records (also based in UK) has reissued "Devil Tree". Big Potato Records is kind of like the Curation Records of England. They've reissued work from All Night Radio, Mystic Chords of Memory - both related to Beachwood Sparks.
And while Coley Park can remind me of the Curation sound, the Bandcamp page also mentions Beck, Nick Drake and Mercury Rev. But Neil Halstead helped produce this and really this does remind me of the upbeat moments of Mojave 3. And, without a doubt there are Pavement-esque moments throughout.
Drillin' a hole with my soul in the sand
Diggin' for gold in the hole in the bed
Catchin' a ride from a band
I sat in the back of the van
They tried to make me understand
'Cause if I'm not in a band, don't mean I'm square
And if I am, well then I don't care
Wanna ask but I just stare
Can I run my hands through your car wash hair
Number two has got me confused
Hope I'll always be numbers one and three
Number two has got me confused
Hope I'll always be numbers one and three
