Hihi ^^
I wanted to ask(for scientific reasons ofc)
What type of ibuprofen does your narry take?
Over the counter? store-brand? Name-brand? Makes his own? What milligram per tablet/gel-capsules? Does he get it from Walmart+?
I know I sound odd for asking. But I'd imagine that he probably has a lot of headaches to deal with: Stanley, the bucket, The constant having to look over his shoulder to make sure we don't kidnap/marry anyone, etc. :3 That can cause a lot of migraines and whatever stuff he takes must clearly be working because I haven't seen him murder us yet sooooooo
(p.s) this is with thoughtful regards to the comfort post you made on twt^^
ahaha- thanks in advance ig
i gave this like. way too much thought. way too much serious thought for what is absolutely a shitpost question.
ahem. anyway.
so narry probably... can't take ibuprofen. like meme templates aside he probably gets whatever the approximation is of a headache that technically god-like but limited to behind the screen characters can have, and human pills definitely won't do much for that. but when traversing around in his humanoid avatar he can probably conjure up whatever is preferred, especially with how it really does kinda feel like something you'd have in an office?? or like in a first aid/bathroom area.
narry might take them as a placebo though. he does a lot of things for that reason actually (for example, he uses the Adventure Lines™️ to get around when he really can just like... walk. or float. he does it bc he finds it calming and also he thinks it makes him look cool.)
it's the same reason he uses (way too much) human hair gel instead of just using his admin powers over his avatar to make it look the way he wants. yeah his hair is literally plastic-like now, but he did it all by himself and it looks okay!!
... this is the closest i ever get to making narry lore. it's all shitposts. it's literally all shitposts ahsbfksnd ;;

different anon. re: fanfic fics, I see this happen a lot on twt where threadfic authors (or not even threadfics, people who just talk about fic ideas) would ask commenters not to hijack their threads or "steal their ideas". I think the former is a reasonable but unfortunate side effect of using twt as a fandom platform, since other people can disrupt their fic every 240 characters.
I've started adding a blanket permission on my AO3 profile so others know I'm fine with them doing transformative work on my own fics and don't have to worry about what's "allowed" or not. I know people who want to do fic binding or fic podcasts usually like to ask for permission first, for example. but drawing fanart of a fic is usually seen as something anyone is free to do.
so why is fanfic of fics different? is it because the above examples don't play around with the ideas? they only transform the medium the fic is presented as, but not the content itself.
personally I like when other people treat fics as fair game though, like they do with canon. but I think fans nowadays treat canon as something that anyone can engage with transformatively, but not that tratement doesn't carry over to other derivative works from canon (unless it's like, prompts and meme templates).
--
I think fic writers are threatened by writing in a way that art/audio/etc. don't threaten them. It's not just about the transformation of the content.
Book authors also tend to get their panties in a bunch over fic but not over fan art.
