The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has decided that there is no need to enforce a state of emergency following a plea by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for the King to consider implementing one.

A statement by the Comptroller of the Royal Household Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said the decision was made after the meeting today between the King and seven other Malay Rulers that took place at the Istana Negara this afternoon.

“Al-Sultan Abdullah is of the opinion that there is no need right now for His Royal Highness to declare a state of emergency for the country or any other parts of Malaysia,” read Ahmad Fadil’s statement.

The King had expressed his satisfaction with the current administration’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, and is said to have faith in the government under Muhyiddin’s leadership to continue in the same vein and for them to implement the necessary policies and enforcement tactics.

The statement went on to explain how Muhyiddin had requested for the state of emergency to be declared under Article 150 (2B) of the Federal Constitution concerning the proclamation of an emergency.

Article 150(2B) of the Federal Constitution spells out the prerogative of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to declare a state of emergency if he is satisfied that certain circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take such immediate action, and to subsequently announce his decision.

Earlier today, Al-Sultan Abdullah had met with the Sultans of Johor, Perak, Kedah, Terengganu, Negri Sembilan, Perlis and Selangor for almost three hours to discuss the proposal set forward by the government seeking for the emergency be declared.

Ahmad Fadil’s statement today also included a warning from the Agong directed at politicians looking to unsettle the country’s administration.

“However, His Royal Highness wishes to remind all politicians to stop all forms of ‘politicking’ that can upset the stability of the country’s government.

“Al-Sultan Abdullah also feels that there is no need for any Member of Parliament to continue with their irresponsible actions that can ultimately unsettle the stability of the existing government,” read the statement.

The Agong also highlighted the importance of the upcoming Budget 2021 that is set to be tabled in Parliament next month, saying the funds that are to be allocated would be imperative to heal the country’s economy, while ensuring sufficient funds for frontliners to continue carrying out their duties.

Al-Sultan Abdullah also expressed his concerns of the recent spike in the number of Covid-19 cases, and expressed his confidence in the people of Malaysia uniting and banding together, like they have done before, to combat the third wave of infections.

“In relation to that, His Royal Highness calls upon all the rakyat, regardless of their backgrounds and especially their political understandings, to set aside all differences and quarrels and remain united in playing our roles to help the government and authorities contain the Covid-19 infection for our safety and the prosperity of our beloved country,” he wrote.

Prevailing rumours emerged on Wednesday that Muhyiddin would seek to invoke “emergency powers” to prop up his administration that was under challenge from Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, ostensibly to prevent a general election alongside Covid-19.

These rumours accelerated after Muhyddin rushed to meet the Agong in the Pahang palace on Friday, which led to a meeting of the Malay Rulers today.

Anwar was granted a royal audience earlier this month with Al-Sultan Abdullah in which the former claimed to have gained the support of “over 120 MPs” to take over the government.

Muhyiddin was appointed as the prime minister in March after former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad resigned unprompted less than two years into his term.

Selangor hit 600+ cases alone yesterday and I’m now missing my pre Covid-19 self quite terribly. Where daily conversation didn’t consist of Covid-19 updates and deep regrets we took for granted when going out was safe and uncomplicated.

So here I wrote a letter to my post pandemic self.

You promised not to take for granted the opportunity to see your family and friends in person and you committed to putting away your phone when you were with them. You checked in on your parents more often and you stay connected to your friends despite the jam-packed calendar. Not just a call but looking at their faces.

You promised not to question anyone else’s parenting style. It was really hard enough to be on an online meeting while entertaining a restless baby, giving a lot of screen time just to steal 10 minutes to reply emails, worry about putting food on the table and make a home function as a cafeteria, playschool and office without any pause.

You promised to yourself that if cinema has survived, you would go and look at those hundreds of people sitting so close, as a collective and listening to stories. Don’t get me start with going to concerts. Because hell yes, you would experience that terribly missed escapism of yours again.

And you promised to make lists of places you wanted to show Idris when you could travel again. He would have his first experience of riding a plane. He would experience walking on a beach. He would see those fishes in Aquaria soon. Real soon.

BANGKOK — For months, many Southeast Asian countries played down the threat posed by the new coronavirus. Some officials said that prayer would keep the disease away. Others expressed optimism that the tropical heat would slow the spread of the virus.Life continued as usual. Malaysia allowed large religious gatherings. Thailand kept open its hugely popular Muay Thai boxing stadiums. In countries with struggling health care systems, like Indonesia and Myanmar, testing for infections was minimal.Now, with the belated realization that the virus is encircling the globe in its relentless spread, countries across Southeast Asia have begun to impose strict measures, including lockdowns in the Philippines and Malaysia and the widespread closure of schools, businesses and entertainment venues in Thailand. The delays are proving dangerous, as some nations face a worrisome rise in cases without a health care system that can deal with a major outbreak.The Indonesian president, Joko Widodo, has admitted that he misled the public about the dangers of the disease caused by the coronavirus, Covid-19, to prevent people from panicking.“There is that which we disclose and there is that which we withhold because we do not want to create worry and panic among the society,” he said on Friday.Mr. Joko refused on Monday to disclose the results of his own test for the virus, telling reporters to ask his doctor.The Indonesian transportation minister, Budi Karya Sumadi, has tested positive, and as many as a dozen other officials have been tested for infection.Mr. Joko declined to disclose those results, too.The spokesman for the coronavirus emergency response in Indonesia, Achmad Yurianto, would not provide the results on Tuesday, either, saying only that the officials “are in good condition so far.”Transparency has generally been a concern.Health officials on the island of Bali said they learned that a British woman being treated there had tested positive only after officials in Jakarta, the Indonesian capital, announced her death to the news media.Before that, the first two patients with confirmed infections discovered that they had contracted the virus when the president announced it to the country.In the Philippines, critics have accused President Rodrigo Duterte of using the virus as cover to pursue his oft-stated ambition of imposing martial law.“Whatever his personal preferences, the president should not consider authoritarian methods,” said Etta Rosales, a former chairwoman of the Commission on Human Rights in the Philippines. “Authoritarianism is no cure to the virus.”After Mr. Budi, the Indonesian transportation minister, tested positive, Mr. Joko became more attuned to the problem, ordering the closure of schools and encouraging residents to work from home.Other countries remain in denial about the dangers of the virus. The chief spokesman for the Myanmar government said on Friday that the absence of positive tests was proof that the virus has not reached Myanmar.“Covid-19 is still not present in Myanmar,” the spokesman, U Zaw Htay, told reporters. “The lifestyle and diet of Myanmar citizens are beneficial against the coronavirus.”Some Buddhist figures have been promoting nonmedical remedies. One famous monk said that eating a lime and three palm seeds would keep the virus away. Another monk recommended seven ground peppercorns.Even some doctors are optimistic that the pandemic will bypass Myanmar because of its religious practices.“Myanmar is still lucky because it’s a Buddhist country and senior monks are always praying to be safe,” said Dr. Win Thandar Phyu, the chief of North Okkalapa General Hospital in Yangon.The concern is that the lackadaisical approach has allowed the virus to spread largely unnoticed, setting the stage for a disaster in countries where the health care systems are underfunded and poorly equipped.Indonesia’s rate of testing has increased in recent days, but it is still one of the worst in the world, about 8.5 tests per million people. The first positive patient was detected on March 2. Now, it has confirmed 172 cases.In a letter to the president, an association of scientists called the Indonesian Young Scientist Forum pressed for immediate action. The group pointed out that confirmed cases have grown at an exponential rate since early March.“Indonesia is in a dangerous situation because the delayed action to halt the spread of the virus makes it difficult to control,” the scientists said. “The delay could make the epidemic situation similar to Italy and Iran or even worse.”Some countries are seeing a rapid rise in the number of confirmed cases.Many are connected to an international gathering of 16,000 Muslims early this month in the Malaysian city of Selangor. Participants returning home have taken the illness with them to Singapore and Brunei, where nearly all of its 40 cases were linked to the meeting of the revivalist missionary movement, Tablighi Jamaat. An additional 700 participants returned to Indonesia, where there has been no effort to track them.Malaysia has seen a surge in cases tied to the event. On Monday alone, 95 of 125 new cases were connected to the event. It now has 673 cases.The World Health Organization urged nations in Southeast Asia to adopt aggressive measures as the number of confirmed cases rises.“The situation is evolving rapidly,” Dr. Poonam Khetrapal Singh, the director for WHO’s Southeast Asia region, said Tuesday. “We need to immediately scale up all efforts to prevent the virus from infecting more people.”Several countries are now scrambling to impose the kinds of travel restrictions and quarantines seen in other parts of the world.In the Philippines, about 60 million people — more than half the country’s population — are under lockdown. In Malaysia, mass gatherings are banned through the end of the month; schools, businesses and places of worship are closed; and Malaysians are prohibited from leaving the country. Anda tau apa kesalahan menyebar berita palsu. Anda tanggunglah dosa di akhirat. Kesalahan atas dunia biaq pihak berkuasa ambil tindakan... Tapi realitynya adalah....

Gambar yang diviralkan sebenarnya bukanlah gambar Mesyuarat Tabung Haji sebaliknya ia adalah gambar ketika Delegasi Pejabat Menteri di JPM Hal Ehwal Agama Islam mengadakan pertemuan dengan Kementerian Kewangan bagi menjelaskan konsep Rahmatan Lil 'Alamin dan juga Maqasid Syariah. Kenapa perlu takut pada usaha YBM Menteri Agama dan Barisan Pengurusan Profesional baru Tabung Haji memulihkan Tabung Haji sampai begitu gigih korang nak menjahanamkan imej Tabung Haji dengan pelbagai Fitnah jahat..? Tak payah nak kalut2 tutup akaun nak disable akaun bagai sebab semua maklumat dah ada dengan kami.

Geng Pak lebai tak pula buat bising tika penyamun di atas ni jadi pengerusi TH?.. Ia bermula dari zaman BN memerintah di mana tabung haji di jadikan piggy bank oleh pimpinan UMNO sampai bertahun2 terpaksa buat creative accounting sebab nak tipu kata kewangan surplus. Kalau tak tipu akaun dan declare rugi, tabung haji dalam akta dia dah tulis tak boleh bagi dividen. Jadi apa yang depa buat , tipu akaun tulis untung, padahal duit untung itu adalah dari duit simpanan pendeposit. Ini sebijik macam skim cepat kaya dan pak man telo. Creative accounting ni kira okay lagi sebab perangai UMNO, depa tipu pun ada lagi depa bentang dalam laporan tahunan, kalau perangai lebai PAS, rugi apa pun tak kisah, semua boleh di salahkan pada Qada dan Qadar. Kalau orang minta audit, depa akan tunggang ayat Allah yang mana-mana sesuai demi natijah politik mereka. Tengok harakah rugi dan berhutang pencetak, kohilal lesap sampai sekarang tak tau apa, anak syarikat Kelantan banyak yang bungkus, pernah tengok tak lebai buat sidang media minta maaf? Yang nak bercuti di New Zealand hari tu pun dah kantoi, kalau tak ada orang dalam bagi tahu, memang selamatlah duit anak syarikat negeri kena sakau dengan lebai. Saya difahamkan bahawa tidak ada rencangan menutup empat hotel Tabung Haji seperti yang difitnah oleh jentera propaganda pembangkang. Hotel-hotel yang disebutkan itu akan terus beroperasi di bawah pengurusan Urusharta Jemaah Sdn Bhd (UJSB) dan kebanyakan daripada 278 kakitangan dikekalkan. Bakinya ditawarkan jawatan lain. Cuma khabarnya hotel terbabit akan melalui proses penjenamaan semula daripada TH Hotel kepada Hotel Raia. Operasinya tetap patuh Syariah.

Seperti kita sudah maklum, TH telah menjual hotel terbabit kepada UJSB. UJSB ini adalah syarikat milik penuh kerajaan. Ia diwujudkan sebagai sebahagian daripada pelan pemulihan dan penstrukturan semula TH tahun lalu. Empat hotel terlibat adalah TH Hotel Kota Kinabalu, TH Hotel Penang, TH Hotel & Convention Centre Alor Setar dan TH Hotel & Convention Centre Terengganu yang sebelum ini diuruskan oleh TH Hotel and Residence Sdn Bhd (THHR). Sejak mengambil alih hotel-hotel berkenaan, UJSB telah menyediakan modal baru bagi menambahbaik kemudahan sedia ada demi manfaat dan keselesaan pelanggan.

Tidak ada kakitangan akan diberhentikan Sebaliknya 90% akan terus bekerja dengan rangkaian hotel baharu ini manakala baki 10% akan ditawarkan pekerjaan di TH Kelana Jaya. Selain itu, 90% kakitangan yang terlibat akan juga menerima saguhati berdasarkan sumbangan yang telah mereka berikan sepanjang berkhidmat di THHR. UMNO-PAS taken for a ride by Mahathir?...

Judging from recent developments as well as remarks made by PH leaders, it is very likely for the Feb 21 PH presidential council meeting to strike a new accord on the handover issue. The thing is, PKR president Anwar Ibrahim has already given in. After learning that PAS, Umno and some PKR MPs had signed a statutory declaration to support Mahathir to complete his full term as PM, Anwar rushed back from Port Dickson to Putrajaya last Thursday to meet Tun M, and said later in a statement that he supported Mahathir's continued leadership and that he would only take over the baton after the November APEC summit. The following day, Tun M reiterated that he would honor his promise to resign after November and said Anwar's statement was correct. On Feb 15, Anwar urged all quarters to stop forcing Tun M to resign, adding that PH already had a consensus on the handover issue. Apparently Anwar was giving an instruction to his people to stop pressing the prime minister to resign so that the presidential council meeting could be held in an amicable atmosphere. Mahathir's recent remarks show that he is not prepared to give up the PH ruling platform. For example, he praised the health ministry's effective measures in containing the spread of coronavirus. If he were about to abandon the ship, why would he praise health minster Dzulkefly Ahmad from Amanah and his deputy Lee Boon Chye from PKR? Besides, the PM will unveil the economic stimulus package on Feb 27. If the ruling coalition is about to go bust, we will not see stimulus plan of any sort to boost the economy. Not everyone close to the PM or from his party PPBM agree to the formation of Pakatan Nasional with Umno and PAS. For instance, his son Mukhriz could not understand why PAS with only 18 elected reps could table a private member's bill to support Mahathir's full term in office. In the meantime, PPBM supreme council member Wan Saiful Wan Jan has also said PH has reached an agreement on the handover issue. Media and communications adviser at the PM's office Kadir Jasin said Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was not the best person to negotiate anything with the prime minister given the fact he was facing more than 30 counts of corruption charges, while former Council of Eminent Persons chairman Daim Zainuddin said it was "unhealthy" to form a new political pact as it would betray voters' mandate. PPBM will have a hefty price to pay if it were to form a new alliance with Umno and PAS. New Straits Times has reported that PPBM would have to give up the MB posts for Kedah and Perak if the three parties were to form Pakatan Nasional while some Umno MPs would demand ministerial or senatorial posts as well.

Moreover, Mahathir's administrative philosophies may not go well with Umno and PAS. He used to stop PAS from implementing hudud in Kelantan in the 1990s. He even slammed Kelantan Umno in April 2015 for supporting the implementation of hudud in the state. This shows that Mahathir will not accept PAS' theocratic advocacy. Mahathir wants to see the Malays improve and command the latest technology, hence his insistence in reinstating PPSMI. On the other hand, PAS is all for religion only, and a forced marriage between the two sides will only lead to a divorce in the long run. Moreover, Mahathir will not accept corruption-tainted Umno leaders, as this will contravene his position in toppling the previous kleptocratic administration. With so many hurdles along the way in a cooperation with Umno-PAS, it appears that Tun M has very likely made use of the opposition to mitigate the pressure for him to resign. He is well aware that Umno badly needs the power to clear its leaders of corruption charges while PAS president Hadi Awang is strongly against Anwar Ibrahim as PM. Now that this objective has been met, sure enough plans for a Pakatan Nasional are killed prematurely by him. If an agreement is eventually reached in the PH presidential council meeting on the handover issue, PAS' intention of tabling a confidence vote for PM next month will become irrelevant. PAS is so fervent in supporting Mahathir's full term in order to advance its own wicked motives of dividing PH and bagging benefits from its Malay support base. Meanwhile, Umno is not too happy with PAS' lukewarm treatment of Muafakat Nasional. Similarly, both Najib and Ahmad Zahid hold very different views on the rumored new pact, meaning a crack within Umno may ensue as a consequence. Where political tactic is concerned, no doubt Tun M has the upper hand. He has not only managed to get Anwar to back down but also to take Umno and PAS for a ride! Mahathir will try to maximize his time to get more Malay support for his PPBM in order to check the advances of Umno-PAS. That said, power game will only satiate the desires of one man and will not resolve the many problems encountered by the rakyat. Social Engagement: Secretary Report 1

Progress within 11th to 17th of March 2019.

Supreme Committee

On 14th of April, Jason and Afiq went to SMK Senawang to negotiate regarding the invitation of the workshop however it was rejected by Jabatan Pelajaran Negeri - Unit Perhubungan due to the date of the workshop.

Change of date were then discussed along with the overall proposal on 15th of April with Dr. Reza and Departments.

A new date were chosen which is on 28th of April by going to schools and have the workshop there instead. A few schools were suggested:

- SMK Bandar Damai Perdana - Shahku (Head HR) will try to contact them asap - SMK La Salle - Julian (Head Sponsorship) will try to contact them asap - SMK Senawang - Afiq (Vice Director) has contacted them (Last option because pros: they provide food fully for us)

Along the visit to school, a survey on the school’s computer lab facilities will be conducted. Once a school given their approval, HR Department will obtain approval by Jabatan Pelajaran Negeri - Unit Perhubungan.
