Beliau telah " encroached a forbidden zone! ".
TAPI..
Be honest.
Akan tetapi perlukah ayat " takut mati" yang sangat berciri accusatory itu dilafazkan in the first place?
- Mohamed Hanipa Maidin

Khalid belasah Din di Parlimen...
No cover for frontline chief
under malicious attack...
It is always supposed to be a serene affair with interjections of humour and wit when lawmakers exchange views on all matters which affect the welfare and well-being of the people for the benefit of all Malaysians.  The affairs are usually conducted in a civilised manner. When accusations are made, they are substantiated with facts and figures. It has and never will be the platform for individuals to vent their anger or settle personal scores against anyone inside or outside the confines of the august House.
If vitriol of words is poured on someone inside the House, there’s an opportunity for rebuttal which has happened several times. The repartee is sometimes a friendly banter but, in most cases, it has been exchanges of not-so-nice words. What transpired in the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday was a full-frontal attack on Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah. It breached all protocols, etiquette and conventions.
While previously, MPs watched helplessly in an air of expectedness from the usual suspects, this time, it came from someone whose voice was hardly heard in the past. Bintulu MP Tiong King Sing announced his presence with acidic remarks. Although they were not peppered with unparliamentary language, the sting was in the content of the speech he delivered.
Debating the Supply Bill 2021, Tiong made a series of charges including claiming that Noor Hisham is “afraid to die”. He also wrongly assumed that he did not come down personally to Sabah to monitor the Covid-19 situation. And to underscore his so-called negative perception on the doctor, he said: “I heard he (Noor Hisham) now wants his own project, to be the World Health Organisation's secretary-general.”
Where he obtained such information is for Malaysians to explore but that is not the issue. While the backbench remained silent to the unscrupulous attack, it was left to opposition MPs to take up cudgels to defend Noor Hisham. In the process, the Jelutong MP got evicted from the House.
But why didn’t any member of the cabinet stand up to Tiong’s sacrilege and defend Noor Hisham? What happened to the health minister and his two deputies? Where are they in the House? Someone sarcastically remarked that they were “busy promoting the air suam (warm water) cure” to their counterparts in “499 other countries” which the minister previously claimed he had conferred with.
It is no use lighting up Putrajaya in blue to honour frontliners when the country’s Number One in the frontline is being “flogged” publicly in Parliament. The silence of the front bench is telling indeed. How do they instil and cultivate the confidence of civil servants with such elegant silence?
Tiong never retracted his remarks despite being given an opportunity and hence they remain in the Hansard. He later issued a statement claiming to have expressed a “reflection of frustrations of frontliners facing Covid-19 virus pandemic challenges”. “My statement was not malicious. We all know that civil servants do not have it easy. They are all working hard for the country and its people but shortcomings must be identified and improved,” he said in a statement.
He has not apologised nor expressed regret but maintains it is his right to put matters of public interest on the table. Agreed, but why the personal attacks? So, if you know that civil servants are working hard, then why single out Noor Hisham? Isn’t he a civil servant too?
It appears that Tiong is making these remarks as an afterthought, perhaps he got his facts wrong or realising that he had stepped on someone’s foot or has been ticked off by members of the cabinet. Let us not forget he is a special envoy to China with ministerial status. While he should be projecting our image abroad, he seems to be running down officials of his own country.
The damage had already been done and Noor Hisham responded in his usual cool and calm manner to call on Tiong’s bluff. Short of saying that Tiong lied in Parliament, Noor Hisham said that he and his team had gone to the ground in Sabah at the end of August to check on the management and preparations prior to the Sabah state elections. Deputy director-general for public health Dr Chong Chee Keong and the prime minister's special adviser on public health Dr Jemilah Mahmood were in Sabah two weeks ago.
His riposte was a class act: “What is important is for us to do our duty. Our purpose is to break the chain of infection in the country. We can have our differences, but what is important is to break the chain of infection so that we can save the country from an increase of cases and the death rate.” While the Perikatan Nasional leaders’ silence was deafening, a loud dissenting voice was heard from across the seas.
Sarawak’s State Tourism, Culture and Arts Minister Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah rebuked Tiong and said: “Honestly I was shocked. I didn’t expect it from him, I feel ashamed as well, as it came from a fellow Sarawakian.  "We should acknowledge what the frontliners have been doing in this difficult time.”
On Tiong’s insistence that he would not retract the remarks and merely wanted to reflect the frustration of some frontliners, Abdul Karim said Tiong was being overzealous and rude, especially in his position as an MP.
Can we hear more such voices from the government bench to denounce this MP? Is the silence because he is on the same side? Doesn’t anyone see the need to protect the integrity of the frontliners? - R.Nadeswaran,mk
JASA under Puad flopped,
why use public funds to revive it?...
The Special Affairs Department (Jasa) became a flop despite millions of ringgit spent on propaganda purposes, as evident in BN's ouster from power in 2018, DAP central committee member Lim Kit Siang said today. "The question now is, why should Malaysian public monies be used by Jasa to manufacture and spread lies and falsehoods?" Lim asked in a statement.
He was responding to claims by Umno supreme council member and former Jasa director-general Mohd Puad Zarkashi, who claimed that DAP was "afraid" of the soon-to-be revived government agency. Then prime minister Najib Abdul Razak appointed Puad as Jasa head in March 2015. However, Puad quit in a huff in April 2018 after he was not fielded as a BN candidate.
After it was revealed that the Perikatan Nasional government wants to revive Jasa with an RM85.5 million budget for 2021, Puad said the amount was eye-opening, since BN only allocated RM30 million for the agency for 2018.
Puad claimed that one of Jasa's duties at the time was to respond to DAP's "lies on social media". For Lim, Puad was wrong to assert that DAP "feared" Jasa. "Why should Puad's Jasa be feared when it was such a great flop - or Najib would still be the prime minister and would not be convicted of corruption, abuse of power and money-laundering," he said.
In contrast, Lim said the "hundreds of millions" used to fund "Umno cyber operations" to paint DAP as anti-Malay, anti-Islam, anti-royalty and communist were most successful after Jasa was disbanded.
Jasa had its roots in the Special Affairs Division. The defunct Jasa is a secretive government agency that had its roots in the 1960s when it was then called the Special Affairs Division (Cawangan Hal Ehwal Khas, Chek) under the government's Information Ministry, which has since been renamed as the Communications and Multimedia Ministry.
According to the 2019 list of government positions, Jasa had 229 full-time staff across the country before it was disbanded in January 2020. However, Jasa was widely believed to have employed contract staff with a monthly allowance of RM900 to oversee 222 parliamentary and 576 state constituencies, bringing the overall salaried staff to slightly over 1,000.
In 2017, a gathering of 942 Jasa staff was held in Alor Gajah, Malacca, themed "Ke Arah Memenangi Majoriti 2/3 Pilihan Raya Umum (PRU) Ke-14" (Towards winning a two-thirds majority in the 14th general election).
At that time, Puad had revealed that the contract staff were renewed annually. He proposed that the contracts should last for at least two years and that contract staff who had served for more than 15 years be eligible for an RM300 monthly bonus. - LKS,mk

Nyahkan Bajet Peruntukan JASA - Mat Sabu
While Najib roams free,
rakyat are imprisoned by MCO...
Are the Malaysian taxpayers aware that their hard earned money and their taxes are used to fund the luxury lifestyle of the convicted criminal Najib Abdul Razak? Each time the rakyat think that the felon, Najib, has gone too far in insulting the nation, we observe that he is capable of going one step further.
Last week, it was reported that police outriders escort Najib when he was on the road, and yesterday the Speaker of the Parliament allowed him to speak on Budget 2021 for a full 90 minutes. What is going on here?
In November 2019, the police said that Najib would not be allowed any police motorcycle escorts, but one year later we were told by PN's special functions minister Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof that "there is no requirement for privileges such as bodyguards, police outriders and allowances to be withdrawn, despite the former premiers being convicted of criminal offenses".
This is ridiculous! What is stopping MPs from making a provision in the law to address the issue of a criminal conviction by a former premier? So, is Najib a felon who was sentenced to 12 years in jail and fined RM210 million in July for his role in the multi-billion 1MDB scandal in which he stole the rakyat's money?
Or is he as innocent as a newborn baby? People are innocent until proven guilty. Najib has been proven guilty! If Najib wants to use police outriders and have bodyguards round the clock to protect him, why can't he use his own money to pay for this luxury?
It is alleged that Najib and some members of his family have not paid income tax on their illegal incomes. When we owe the Inland Revenue Department a few hundred ringgits, the authorities will come down hard on us. Why is Najib allowed to escape scot-free?
Just in case anyone needs reminding, the High Court found Najib guilty of seven charges of abuse of power, criminal breach of trust and money laundering involving RM42 million from SRC International Sdn Bhd.
How can Speaker allow a convicted felon, Najib Razak, be allowed
to sit in the Dewan and allow him to speak in this August house?
Justice Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali said the criminal acts committed in the SRC scandal had been proven beyond reasonable doubt and that Najib's defense team had failed to rebut the prosecution's case. So why is the PN administration of Muhyiddin Yassin afraid to stop Najib from making a mockery of the law?
Najib gloats about his freedom. He may not say it out loud but he shows that he is a free man, with photos on social media showing he can swan around the countryside giving speeches, canvassing in various by-elections, inviting people to visit him at his home and flying to Sabah to take part in the Umno-Baru hustings in the recent state election.
Meanwhile, Malaysians can only vent their anger and frustrations online, or in letters to the editors of various newspapers when they complain that Najib mocks Malaysian justice. Do other convicted criminals get special treatment like Najib?
Yesterday, Najib gave a lengthy speech in Parliament as if he had done nothing wrong. Did the Speaker, whose appointment was controversial, forget that Najib is a felon? Malaysians cannot forget that the Speaker interfered with the judiciary last year by writing a letter demanding Najib's court case be concluded early, so that he could address the Parliament.
A businessman said, "Allowing a convicted felon to address Parliament has dragged down the reputation of this August House in which laws are made. "Najib has cheapened, undermined, compromised and made irrelevant the sacred functions of an institution which represents the people.
"The Speaker should not have accorded Najib such a privilege. It cheapens our criminal justice policy, if the rule of law is applied unevenly and selectively." Muhyiddin and the Speaker Azhar Harun may think that Najib can do no harm, but they are wrong. Najib acts like a man who is innocent of all the crimes that have dominated the headlines of local and international newspapers for many years.
His trial had been a rollercoaster ride in which he used every trick in the book to delay the proceedings. He was often ill, his lawyer's sick leave, his late arrivals at court, falling asleep whist the trial was under way, even wandering off during his trial; but the court showed him leniency. Why? Would the court be as lenient with a normal Malaysian if he or she were to mock the court in the same way as Najib?
Najib's insult to the rule of law, Parliament and the judicial system may be the final nail in PN's coffin. Najib is not just a common thief who stole the rakyat's money, he is also a liar and a desperate one who is still trying to convince his gullible supporters that he is innocent of all the charges. You may recall that some Malay women sold their jewelry to pay his bail.
When he was allowed to speak in Parliament, Najib gave a confusing message to the rakyat that they need not bother with rules or laws. Najib is proof that crime does pay. The young learn that it is alright to plunder, steal and lie.
Now that Najib has been convicted, why can't the authorities treat him as a convict and stop being lenient with him? He continues to cause harm outside prison. He should be sent to jail whilst his appeal process goes through. There he will be able to reflect on his misdeeds.
When Najib sits in his mansion, is protected by police guards, and escorted by police outriders, it sends the wrong message to the rakyat. It breeds dissatisfaction with the authorities. Worse still, it promotes anarchy. - Mariam Mokhtar

  Belanjawan 2021 kena repot polis...
The 2021 Budget...
1. For 2½ hours I sat down in my seat at the Dewan Rakyat listening to the Minister of Finance’s budget speech.
2. It was amazing. It was the biggest ever. For operation and development the Government will spend 322.5 billion altogether.
3. I am not a financier. These big figures are mind-boggling. It seems that the Government will be putting money in the pocket of everyone, rich and poor, employed and unemployed.
4. The question that I would like to ask is where the money will come from. The deficit is said to be about 85 billion Ringgit. It is bigger than the development budget of 69 billion.
5. We know that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the economy badly. Although the glove industry has done well but Petronas and Tourism, the two biggest contributors to Government revenue, have done very badly.
6. All other industries have suffered badly. I don’t think income and corporate tax would amount to even 2/3 of the normal figures during normal times.
7. It is expected that vaccines would put an end to the pandemic. The industries, trade and business will recover. But can they recover fully so as to achieve a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth of 7.5%. Just think. From a shrinkage of 4% to growth of 7.5%, the recovery would be 11.5% – fantastic.
8. From the complaints I hear from the business community mere approvals would take more than a year. That means there would be practically no inflow of investment funds in 2021. Certainly, there would be no profits made, or taxes paid to the Government. Even local investors will meet with these delays.
9. Policies don’t grow economies. Only implementation will do so. I know of cases where multi-billion Ringgit projects have been delayed for years. If the investor pushed, he is likely to face even longer delays.
10. So don’t expect restarting or launching new industries to begin on the 1st of January. The rosy picture of immediate recovery once the COVID-19 pandemic is overcome is not going to happen. The pandemic would not end on new year’s day.
11. I suppose the Government will have to borrow to implement the budget. This is estimated to increase Government debt to 1.3 trillion. That is a lot of money. If you fail to service loans, you may be bankrupted.
12. I can understand the need but we can still prune the operation and development costs. In the last 15 years salaries had been increased at very high rates – as much as 25% each time. Ministers and members of parliament had been given numerous allowances. Such is the increase that everyone is keen to be members of Parliament and Ministers. Nothing will make them part with their position. Even when their leaders commit crimes, they will support them. Giving up their posts would deprive them of so much money. Principles don’t count anymore.
13. It is perhaps better to make these posts less lucrative.
14. This pandemic is affecting the poor the most. Those who have lost their jobs and the small traders have no income at all. They earn today for today. If they don’t then they will have no money to buy food even. They will starve.
15. On the other hand those who are paid high salaries continue to earn more than their daily needs. Of course, those who are paid high salaries, such as airline staff and business executives may also lose their jobs.
16. Dato Seri Shafie Apdal had suggested that Ministers should have their pay cut by 30%. That is a big figure. I think people earning high salaries in the Government or private sector should forgo 10% of their salaries. It is a sacrifice but I don’t think it would hurt them if there is a reasonable cut off point, say RM 20,000 p.m.
17. The money should be used to provide food to the unemployed and those without income.
18. Back to the budget. While the economic situation requires more money to be spent by the Government, the pandemic also affects the revenue for the Government.
19. When business do not do well, they would pay less tax to the Government. Indeed, when they fail to make profits, they would pay no taxes to the Government.
20. Government revenue must shrink during this pandemic. But the Government needs to offer stimulus packages. That cost a lot of money.
21. Additionally, Government has to service loans and also reduce the principals. For this RM35 billion would be needed. Total charge expenditure is RM72.3 billion or 30.6% of Operating Expenditure of RM236.5 billion.
22. I must admit to being frightened. It is a behemoth of a budget but can we raise the money to finance it. Government debt will be RM1.3 trillion. How do we pay.
23. The budget is for the Year 2021. The expectation of economic recovery is too optimistic. I can think of lots of other things which can be done to lower cost and increase income. But I suppose the Minister of Finance has considered all of them.
24. What is a fact is that most people are not happy. That is shown by their reaction.
25. I hope this budget would be modified in order to become more realistic. Then we can support it. We need not be bribed for our support. We do not want to precipitate a crisis. - chedet
Trump, Hitler and Malaysian Politics...
Do you like fairy tales? Here’s one -- the evil wizard Donald Trump has been defeated and America lives “happily ever after”. The End. But hold on. We know that life and politics don’t work out that way. Trump may have lost but Trumpism is still very alive -- in fact, half of America voted for it. Can we in Malaysia learn some lessons from this?
The Conman-in-Chief was just the symptom of a deeper disease - mainly of inequality - that has plagued the country for decades. Real wages for ordinary Americans (after adjusting for inflation) in 2018 had not gone up in 40 years (yes, forty!) even though GDP and corporate profits have soared many times over.
Hilary Clinton lost the Democrats’ “blue wall” (of industrial states such as Michigan) in 2016 because her husband had promised back in the 1990s that free trade deals like Nafta would bring many high-paying jobs. Instead, factories closed down and jobs went overseas.
Small towns were devastated - the only work available was to flip burgers - and in the despair, many turned to drugs (the opioid epidemic). While it’s easy to dismiss all Trump voters as irredeemable racists, we easily forget that they were also driven by bread and butter issues.
What about us? History does not repeat itself directly, but it does rhyme. In 2018, half of Malaysians earned below RM2,000 per month -- thanks to the national policy to bring in cheap foreign labour.
Given that situation, was it politically wise for the Pakatan Harapan government to cut certain subsidies to the poor, who were mainly Malays? Especially, when Harapan got only about 20 percent of the rural Malay vote in the 2018 general elections?
While the reason for cutbacks was supposedly the high national debt, money was still found to pay RM4.7 billion in GST arrears to companies. (In fact, Lim Guan Eng now says the government should drop the “obsession with controlling the country's deficit” and borrow even more money to help companies save jobs and deal with the economic impact of Covid-19.)
Could that RM4.7 billion have been repaid in instalments instead, to allow more subsidies for the B40 poor? And to fulfil the Harapan manifesto promise to defer PTPTN student loan repayments? Whose interests were more important? That of big companies? Or poorer folks?
Was it wise for Harapan to try and run Malaysia as an efficient company, rather than consolidating Malay support? While we may criticise the current backdoor government for many things, at least they know how to use goodies to bolster their voter base, as can be seen in the latest national budget.
And why is the Harapan Selangor menteri besar still hell-bent in 2020 on chopping down forests in Kuala Langat and Bukit Cherakah? How much influence do rich donors have over our politicians - from both sides? Why didn’t the Harapan Federal government reform political funding as they had promised in their manifesto?
Let’s return to Trump. How could Americans support a leader who lies non-stop, who had molested women and cheated a long list of people? It was his evil genius to recognise (and then exploit) all the pain and despair of the American working class, while Democrat politicians, including former President Obama, seemed “out of touch” as they spoke of bright futures.
Politicians (of both parties) had been legally bought over by rich campaign donors which is why no Wall Street boss was ever punished by Obama even though their greedy market manipulation had led to the 2008 global financial crash.
Ordinary Americans lost hope in the promises of pro-corporate “normal politicians” and The Establishment. So when Trump demonised “the system” -- including the mainstream media as “fake news” -- many believed him.
The man himself had been a multiple bankrupt and business failure but desperate Americans wanted to believe Trump had magical businessman “superpowers” as portrayed in reality TV show "The Apprentice". Angry voters trusted his promise to be The Saviour from “the swamp” of Washington politics that favoured the rich.
No other politician - Republican or Democrat - talked like he did. Trump successfully tapped into a deep seam of resentment and cynicism with the status quo, nevermind that he himself was a billionaire who was part of that same swamp. He rebranded himself as the “blue-collar billionaire” who drove trucks and wore miners’ hats.
The D in Donald also symbolises his mastery of The Art of Diversion and Distraction, especially to make most poor whites think that their “real enemies” are Muslims, blacks and Mexicans, rather than the big corporate bosses who had sent their jobs overseas.
Trump has some chilling parallels to Adolf Hitler, a man who also capitalised on economic devastation (of early-1930s Germany). Here was someone who promised to “Make Germany Great Again” and who blamed the country’s problems on the Jews.
As traditional politicians seemed helpless, people were willing to overlook Hitler jailing his opponents (just as many Americans were willing to overlook Trump advocating violence). Desperate people who see no other solution tend to flock to strongmen fascists who promise to “rescue” and “restore” the nation.
In Hitler’s case, he skillfully exploited fears of chaos (including a huge fire at the German Parliament suspected to have been set up by the Nazis themselves) to win 90 percent of a plebiscite vote in 1934 to become the ultimate leader - The Fuhrer.
So what lessons can be learnt for Malaysia? Just as Democrats are bewildered that so many Americans “still support” Trump, many Harapan supporters are exasperated that “they” (certain voters) still support a former prime minister who has been convicted, and sentenced to 12 years jail, for corruption.
And how could PAS, which claims to be “Islamic”, support such people? Maybe there are similarities with how Trump captured 75 percent of the votes of white (though not black) “born again” evangelical Christians.
Were these evangelicals more interested in white identity politics than the genuine Christian values of love thy neighbour, welcoming refugees, helping the poor and caring for the sick? Similarly, is PAS under Abdul Hadi Awang more into “Malay nationalism” than Islamic teachings of assabiyah that prohibit racism (which were highlighted by Tok Guru Nik Aziz)?
Many of the problems and poverty of Malaysians can be traced back to decades of corruption and money politics. But it is the evil genius of certain politicians to divert voters’ anger and frustration onto a certain non-halal race which their cyber troopers call “DAPig”.
Don’t look here! Look there! Yeah, sure we’ve been busy siphoning the system but it’s “them” who are your “real enemies”. We are your “saviours” and “protectors” -- even though we take a huge chunk for ourselves. Hey, maybe it’s “protection money” eh?
The failure to fulfil crucial parts of the Harapan manifesto, slippery political frogs making governments fall, the more recent backroom deals by Anwar Ibrahim with Umno and the attempt to declare an emergency - all these make us distrust “the system” more and more.
The long-term danger is that people will become totally disillusioned with politicians from both sides. And then, when a major economic crisis hits us, people will run to a strongman fascist to “rescue” them - someone like Trump. - Andrew Sia,mk
Shamala Gopalan with daughters Kamala and Maya in the 1960s...
IQ and TV3 - Berkeley bukan 'Bakery"
The last time I watched TV3 was in the 20th century, maybe around 1993. That was also about the last time I watched RTM. Here is some trivia. Until not too lately I would be invited to appear on Astro and RTM (and TV3 as well). But I never watched any of those shows where I had appeared so I cant recall in full what I said.
1. Anyway one day I was invited to talk on RTM. I cant recall the program either. Before the recording began they will powder you up and comb your hair etc. I was in the make-up room and I chit chatted with the make up girls. When I asked them about the program (which was being recorded) they said 'We dont know, we dont watch RTM'. I thought that was funny.
2. Another time Super Moron came to launch a blogger association of which I was the inaugural president (for four years). The TV3 crew was also there. I was told that a TV3 anchor woman (a Chinese girl) wanted to interview me. Since I never watched TV3 I did not know who she was and missed her among the crowd.  Oops !
Well TV3 has apologised today for saying that Kamala Harris' mother was a PATI (Pendatang Asing Tanpa Izin) or illegal immigrant from India (pendatang asing tanpa izin dari India). The video clip has also been removed from YouTube?
The source of information about Kamala Devi Harris obviously must be from the US. Meaning the information MUST have come written in the English language.
There is absolutely no way that the source material from the USA (in English) could have said that Kamala was the child of illegal immigrants. So how did whichever editor or translator in TV3 come up with PATI (Pendatang Asing Tanpa Izin)? Careless or maybe not really careless?
Maybe it would be too onerous to decipher (for Low IQ viewers) that Kamala Harris' mother Shamala Gopalan, travelled to Berkeley from India in 1958 where she completed her PhD and became a professor and a renowned researcher in breast cancer. Her Jamaican father too earned his PhD at Berkeley and married Kamala's mother in 1963.
VP-elect Kamala Harris...
Because there is no way that this information was not known to whichever news editor or translator who first received the source material from the US. Or they could not decipher Berkeley? Berkeley means University of California at Berkeley.
Berkeley (ok-lah the University of California at Berkeley) has to date produced a whopping 110 Nobel Prize winners ! !
"Among the 110 laureates, 82 are Nobel laureates in natural sciences; 34 are Berkeley alumni (graduates and attendees), and 42 have been long-term academic members of the Berkeley faculty or Berkeley-affiliated research organizations; and subject-wise, 34 laureates have won the Nobel Prize in Physics, more than any other subject." Ingat bukan 'bakery'  OK!!!. -  Syed Akbar Ali
cheers.

- Dr.Hakim
Anwar completed his speech after an hour and the half. His message is clear, this budget is being sold as Covid-19 budget but the revenue numbers are questionable and the expenditure numbers do not support a serious attempt to contain Covid-19.
He proposed that the Covid 19 Fund allocation of RM17 billion be increased to around RM36 billion, by transferring RM19 billion of the Devex spending. With sufficient resources in the Covid-19 Fund, only then can we contain the Covid-19 threat to the economy. We need to allocate more money for cash flow to the people and companies, and not to mega projects for cronies.
He concluded that if the govt refuses to tweak the budget allocations and seriously tackle the Covid-19 threat, PKR will have no choice but to reject the misguided budget.- Wong Chen,MP Subang

Apa Masalah Meletakkan Usul Undi Tidak Percaya,
 Kalau Benar Ada Sokongan Majoriti?
Does PN need RM85.5m
to demonise the DAP?...
“It proves Jasa is effective in countering DAP’s claims and an effective machinery in disseminating information of the government of the day.” -  Ex- JASA DG and Umno MKT member Puad Zarkashi (July 2020)
I have no idea why the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government needs to inject RM85 million (and change) into what sounds to me like a slush fund, to “disseminate information” to the rakyat. To be honest, propaganda in this country, more often than not, is not focused on policy, but rather the twin obsessions of the Malay establishment that is race and religion.
I always had a problem with the Special Affairs Department (Jasa). My problem was that it was so ineffective, that even when it was funded by Umno/BN it was flushing money down the toilet. Jasa obviously did nothing for former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak's regime and when it was revived earlier this year, it did nothing for the PN regime.
When mainstream Malay politics is defined by the demonisation of the DAP (which Malay power structures view as a proxy for the Chinese community), you really do not need a propaganda arm. Propaganda is used in a hidden manner, not when the demonisation is in plain sight. This is why this sounds more like a slush fund than any real mechanism of the state.
This suspicion is made more concrete when Bersatu supreme council member Wan Saiful Wan Jan said, "The rest is for procuring the necessary technology", which is ludicrous because, as has been demonstrated by successful propagandists the world over, all you really need is a laptop and an internet connection and you could influence elections.
Wan Saiful casually brushes aside the designation of funds, but can you really trust a political operative who was part of a low-tech political coup that subverted the democratic will of the people?
I have not heard anything from preacher Zakir Naik of late, and one wonders if he is going to be a consultant with this outfit? This would make sense in a weird way because what Zakir excels in is sowing mistrust in diverse communities all under the guise of “inspiringly” preaching Islam.
Former youth and sports minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman believes that what we have to look forward to is a rain of cybertroopers. However, seeing how ineffective they were before, it remains to be seen if Jasa will really spread PN's messages, or is it just another slush fund for political operatives to fund their illegitimate affairs?
Of course, spending RM85 million to spread the word, when you have the entire mainstream media at your disposal, is pretty redundant. The rakyat is wondering how anti-DAP propaganda is going to benefit their lives and make life a little easier for those living on the margins in this pandemic. More importantly, could that RM85 million be used for something more tangible?
In fact, some DAP political operatives have no problem putting their feet in their mouths. This aids the far-right in its efforts to demonise the DAP. As what I've pointed out before, propaganda organs of the state turn the words of online DAP supporters back on them. My rule of thumb is, don't make it easier for propagandists by doing their work for them.
However, this should not detract from the reality that the DAP, the only secular and multi-racial alternative, is in the crosshairs of the far-right in a way which it was not before the historic May 9th win. Umno's Puad Zarkashi was transparent in his view that Jasa is needed to further anti-DAP propaganda.
The reason why the establishment gets so riled up about DAP is that sometimes the words and actions of the party resonate with Malay voters. Not many, but enough to cause instability. This is why Umno shuns working with DAP in a bipartisan way. Their propaganda diminishes when ordinary folk realise that DAP is not some sort of monster which would take away their special rights.
If anything, the attacks against DAP have become cruder, wallowing in the kind of easy racism and bigotry that should invite some sort of institutional response, but so far has been met by shrugs from the mainstream power brokers in this country.
Just look at what Umno’s Ahmad Maslan said about Muafakat National - "Kita tidak mahu DAP memerintah semula. Kekuatan DAP ini ialah kepada perpecahan Melayu. DAP tidak ada sebarang kekuatan jika Melayu berpadu dan Melayu ingin bersatu dalam MN."
(We don't want DAP to rule again. DAP's strength is in the disunity of the Malays. DAP has no strength if Malays unite and Malays must unite under MN.)
If Syed Saddiq believes there would be more cybertroopers, I think this would also mean more restrictions on free speech. As it is, folks are worried about making comments that would be deemed by the state as worthy of sanctions. I have no doubt in the coming days we will witness more people attempting to curtail discourse, all under the guise of protecting racial and religious sensitivities by hectoring online news portals to censor comments.
The propaganda coming out of PN has been an attempt to follow the Trumpian model, which consists of gaslighting and deflection. It really says something about the priorities of this government, when it threw RM85 million plus at a propaganda arm which was ineffective in defining the discourse around the Najib regime. Now, of course, the current prime minister is attempting to revive Jasa and to assuage the anxieties of certain folks who believed that the gravy train was slowing down.
RM85 million is a steep price to pay when you are a morally and intellectually bankrupt government.- S.Thayaparan,mk

Nak dengar rintihan rakyat pun telan kos RM85.5 juta??? Rintihan rakyat disalurkan melalui wakil rakyat bukan melalui pegawai JASA.

- Zus Din

Lessons for Malaysia from US 2020 election...
Joseph Biden has been elected the president of the United States, with Kamala Harris – the first African American/South Asian woman elected to the office of vice president.
Biden won the presidency with 74 million votes – the highest in US history and over four million more than his opponent – and secured the votes from the Electoral College in close counts in multiple states, notably Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan and Wisconsin. In the latter state, it is noteworthy that Muslim voters were decisive in the blue outcome.
Biden will face formidable obstacles ahead governing a divided country, dealing with a serious pandemic in which a quarter-million Americans have died from Covid-19 and economic depression with 25 million out of work. An embittered loser in Donald Trump has yet to give up his narcissistic delusion that he can hold on to power when the electorate has spoken, and this will evolve in the next few weeks.
While the United States will be inward-looking, the world needs greater cooperation and decency in the White House to guide it through the difficult times ahead – the Biden/Harris leadership team offers needed hope and healing. Fortunately for Malaysia at least Biden knows where the country is and appreciates Southeast Asia as a region in its own right.
Vice President elect Kamala Harris...
The US election offers important lessons for the challenges facing Malaysia. The election was not just about the players and American society but represented one of many ongoing battles for the soul of a nation and a struggle to sustain democracy in our time. The Biden victory represented the largest mobilisation of voters in US history and was especially empowering for African Americans and women whose participation was decisive in the outcome.
Malaysia had similar positive signs in 2018. The large turnout and minority participation especially in Sabah and Sarawak helped bring about the country’s first change in federal government. Female support was a critical part of the Pakatan Harapan victory.
Events since May 2018 – an underperforming Harapan government, increased political use of racialised fear and insecurity, a backdoor takeover, political instability in a fragmented coalition system, weak legitimacy and lacklustre governance have showcased many of the struggles Malaysia faces as it wrestles with its own democracy.
While Covid-19 realities should stop election momentum, there remains the view that new elections will "solve" the country’s political impasse and "resolve" issues. The US 2020 election provides important reminders and cautions for Malaysia. The problems go much deeper, and elections are a reflection of these issues rather than a solution.
Political polarisation does not go away easily. The US – like Malaysia – is a deeply divided country. It has been so for decades and the divisions have hardened. Confrontation, demonisation of opponents and "others" and righteousness combine into a cocktail of intolerance across America’s political parties.
The close results in key states, painstaking counts and emotions around the outcome are testimony to these divisions. Importantly, even in a pandemic and crisis when one would think that divisions would be put aside for common sense leadership, only a few states "turned" from red to blue.
Malaysia should not underestimate its own divisions, which also have persisted and hardened. Less than 10 percent share of voters "switched" sides in 2018. We saw similar division in Sabah’s polls in September – the vote count remained split, with GRS picking up victory largely through the new seats and the losses of one party, Upko.
Malaysia’s electorate has sharply different outlooks over race, religion and reform, which in turn shape voting preferences and views of governance. Behind cordial quotidian interactions lies cauldrons of intolerance, misunderstanding and trauma.
Trump may no longer be president after Jan 20 next year, but Trumpism remains alive and kicking – literally. The anger, frustration and hatred are being fueled by social conditions and political opportunistic leadership that use these emotions of fear, insecurity and displacement for political power. Trump has already declared himself as a candidate for 2024, and there are others in his shadow waiting to assume the same destructive polarising mantle of Trumpism.
The US election illustrates the importance of reforms to address the social conditions that allow divided politics to flourish. There is a pressing need for proactive policies to address economic fears of high unemployment, low wages and economic insecurity and provide the tools for people to advance with education systems that provide for social mobility and include curriculum that teaches critical thinking and problem-solving.
Social safety nets need to be strengthened. Correctives also involve addressing the vacuum in moral leadership in society and within religious institutions who stood aside to cheer on (and in some cases abet) wrongdoing, often ignoring the dehumanisation of the suffering of others. The "with us or against us" lens of political polarisation cannot shift without shifts in thinking about each other and the shared causes that are driving division – from each of us. - Bridget Welsh
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump, perhaps unsurprisingly, has alleged fraud in the Nov 3 presidential election, without offering what anyone would consider real evidence, other than the fact that votes for his democratic challenger, Joe Biden, keep turning up in states where Trump initially led in the count.
The president has already announced that he intends to take the election to the Supreme Court, despite the fact that at the time of his statement, millions of votes in numerous states were still to be counted.
Yet, Trump’s fraud claim could be part of a psychological strategy, deftly executed by a master manipulator. If so, the president may be paving the way to persuading large numbers of Americans to reject the legitimacy of his defeat.- fmt

Immediate reactions: very, very optimistic budget in terms of revenue projections and growth.
Nothing much here in terms of seriously tackling Covid-19, just RM17 billion..for wage subsidy, social support. I thought this was suppose to be a budget focusing on the Covid-19 issues, therefore I had expected the govt to allocate around RM40 to RM50 billion of Covid Fund for 2021.
But no, the bulk of the spending seems to be business as usual. Big Opex and big Devex. Relatively, small Covid-19 Fund. The MoF has largely in terms of money allocated, ignored the bulk of Pakatan Harapan's 6 key recommendations. Is this sayonara to the Unity Budget idea?

On The Brink Of Losing,Trump Filed
Lawsuits Claiming Fraud and Irregularities...
China’s stock markets – Shanghai Composite Index, Shenzhen Component Index and tech-heavy ChiNext index – have all gained significantly on Thursday as Democrat Joe Biden appears to be winning the 2020 Presidential Election. Biden is perceived to be less confrontational than Trump in his foreign policy with China, something which is celebrated in Wall Street as well.
News about the U.S. election has been trending on Chinese social media Weibo for days, with “#US Presidential Election” attracting around 6.77 billion reads. Although votes counting is still ongoing, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng said Beijing hopes the “new U.S. administration” will adopt non-conflict, non-confrontation, and win-win cooperation in China-U.S. relations.
After the victory in Wisconsin and Michigan, Joe Biden has in his pocket 264 Electoral College votes, just 6 away from the White House. Reclaiming a key part of the “blue wall” that slipped away from Democrats 4 years ago, Biden tweeted – “I’m confident that we will emerge victorious. But this will not be my victory alone. It will be a victory for the American people.”
youtube
Biden Cuts Into Trump's Lead In Pennsylvania...
Officially, however, no winner has been declared yet. A candidate needs to win 270 Electoral College votes (50% plus one) to win the election. In every state except two – Maine and Nebraska – the candidate that gets the most votes wins all of the state’s Electoral College votes in the “winner takes all” contest. This means a candidate can win the election without getting the most votes at the national level.
Associated Press (AP) would “call” the winner in a state when they determine that the trailing candidate has no path to victory. According to AP’s latest results, Biden has 264 against Trump’s 214 Electoral College votes. Unlike in 2016 where Trump won a majority of Electoral College votes, although more people voted for Hillary Clinton across the U.S., so far Biden captures more votes.
Biden has so far won 72,185,970 (50.4%) votes, while Trump captured only 68,691,132 (48%). Tactically, Trump’s best route to win the 270 milestone is to win Florida (29 electoral college votes) and Pennsylvania (20 votes) while holding on to North Carolina (15 votes) and Arizona (11 votes, which he narrowly won in 2016). He must also win Georgia (16 votes) and Ohio (18 votes).
Trump has won Florida, Texas, Ohio and Iowa. However, the state of Georgia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania are still in the balance. Worse, the AP has called Arizona’s 11 votes for Biden while other news organizations regard the race as still too close to call (surprisingly, there is no centralized federal election system like an Election Commission in other countries).
Of course, Trump campaign disagrees with the AP’s verdict on Arizona – a state that hasn’t backed a Democratic presidential candidate since 1996. Besides flipping Arizona, Biden also flips Michigan and Wisconsin, two states which Trump flipped in 2016. Trump also flipped Pennsylvania in 2016 by a margin of only 0.7%, turning it Republican for the first time since 1992.
While Trump is leading Georgia, North Carolina, Alaska and Pennsylvania, the margins are razor-thin. If Biden wins Nevada (6 votes), which he is leading, he would cross the finish line for the 270 magic number. But President Donald Trump has no intention of giving up without a fight. His campaign had filed lawsuits to challenge vote counts in key states of Wisconsin, Georgia, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
As Trump alleged fraud and demanded recounts, about 200 of his supporters – some armed with rifles and handguns – gathered outside a vote-counting centre in Arizona, following rumours that votes were not being counted. Without Arizona, which AP awarded to Biden, the current scoreboard would be Biden 253 vs. Trump 214, giving hope that Trump could snatch the 11 Electoral College votes.
Elsewhere in Michigan and Pennsylvania, Trump supporters have called for vote counts to be halted. Trump campaign has filed suit in an attempt to stop the count after the Associated Press declared early Wednesday evening that Biden won Michigan. Apparently, Biden won Michigan by about 70,500 votes this round, the same state which Trump won by some 10,704 votes in 2016.
Even though Biden has won the crucial battleground state of Wisconsin, which comes with 10 votes, the margin of victory is razor-thin small – 0.624% of nearly 3.3 million ballots. This has prompted Trump to challenge the result of the state that he won over Hillary Clinton by fewer than 23,000 votes in 2016 (Wisconsin had voted for Democrats in every Presidential election since 1988).
As both Trump and Biden each claim to be ahead (Trump has actually claimed victory), the 2020 Presidential Election was projected to be the highest in 120 years at 66.9%. Joe Biden had actually won the most votes by any presidential candidate. But again, Trump’s strategy of attacking the integrity of the voting process in states where the results show his defeat would make this election very messy indeed. - FT

Oppose the budget Yes or No?...
Some of my constituents are asking should the opposition support the budget? The answer is both a yes, and a no.  To contain the Covid-19 pandemic situation, we have a duty to ensure that the civil service has all the financial resources it needs for 2021. But should this budget vote support from the opposition, be used to prop up this ineffective cabinet, to enable them to continue to govern us through the Covid-19 pandemic? After the Sabah election fiasco and the Emergency Move, the answer to that is a clear no.
In this posting, I will contextualize the issues regarding the budget vote and make some suggestions on how to move forward on the matter. I would suggest that the PH leadership consider using the budget vote to trade for much needed democratic reforms.
First, let us look at the political context. Not less than 3 days ago, the same prime minister had attempted to shackle Parliament with the Emergency Move. Fortunately, the rulers in their collective wisdom rejected the move and saved democracy. So isn’t it just a little bit bonkers to rush to offer a budget vote olive branch to the same prime minister immediately after his failed Emergency Move? People are rightly confused by these knee jerk reactions of politicians. Moreover, yesterday UMNO has chosen to continue to support the prime minister, therefore restoring PN’s slim majority to pass the budget. If UMNO is true to their words, PN no longer need opposition votes for the budget.
But then, Malaysian politics is full of surprises and deceits. Maybe UMNO will retract their support next week? Maybe there are many wolves in sheep’s clothing in the opposition side too? The fact of the matter is the prime minister’s tenure is extremely weakened after the royal rebuke, and those rushing to support him are finally showing their true cards. People are watching with disbelief and confusion.
Now let’s move to the legal and constitutional context of the budget vote. Parliamentary convention demands that if a government is defeated in a money bill, it has no choice but to resign. The budget vote is the mother of all money bills. If the prime minister loses this vote, he has to resign and his government will collapse. According to the current Speaker (most of us disagree with his legal interpretation), a no confidence vote can only happen in Parliament with the support of the law minister from the government! The chance of it snowing in KL is higher than getting support of the law minister to topple his own government.
So the budget vote then becomes the one and only silver bullet the opposition has to test the legitimacy of government. Therefore, we can’t simply surrender this silver bullet to the prime minister for free. Instead, we must consider using this as an all important bargaining chip, to obtain some much needed reforms to save democracy.
Now, let us consider the issue of timing. Is there sufficient time to negotiate? The budget will only be tabled on the 6th of November and the very first policy stage vote on the budget will only take place in the 23rd of November. Subsequently committee votes will take place for each and every ministry until the 10th of December. So there is ample time of more than one month, for us to make demands and for the prime minister to fulfill these demands, before the final budget vote on the 10th of December.
Lastly, what are the reforms that we should bargain for?
On the very top of my list of democratic reforms is to give an unfettered right to the opposition to table a vote of no confidence motion in Parliament. I am sure most reform minded UMNO MPs, like YB Tengku Razaleigh will be most supportive of such a demand. This reform will allow Parliament to check the legitimacy of the prime minister and to prevent a dictatorship.
Second is a signed undertaking by the cabinet to pass the Parliamentary Services Act in the March 2021 session to make Parliament financially and administratively independent from executive control.
There are hundreds of things that need reform, but I urge the PH leadership to start negotiating with these two basic democratic terms.
Bottomline, can we continue to trust this hapless cabinet to continue to manage the Covid-19 pandemic?  Using words such as “reconciliation”, “engagement”, “depoliticise”, means nothing if the government is not sincere about democratic reforms. And after the failed Emergency Move, the agenda for democratic reforms become even more urgent than ever.
As an opening gambit to demonstrate sincerity on the part of the government, I urge the cabinet to present a full budget briefing to all opposition MPs on the 2nd of November when Parliament resumes. After that, let the budget vote for reform negotiations start , for the sake of the people, democracy and the nation. - Wong Chen,MP Subang
Rupanya Din nak pakai  duit KWSP buat bajet 2021.
Tuu duit simpanan rakyat bukan duit mak bapak kau...
Will Budget 2021 be passed?...
Would any MP dare to not support Budget 2021? Yes, said James Chin, who is director of the Asia Institute, University of Tasmania, Australia. “An MP can vote against the budget by casting an absentee vote or by simply not being in the hall when the budget is being passed, ” he pointed out.
However, Chin is confident the budget Bill will not be defeated in Parliament. “There’s no way that (a majority of) the MPs will bring the budget down. People forget that between the first and final reading of the budget, the government can make changes to it, ” he said.
“So if there are any blocs of MPs or individual MPs who are unhappy with certain parts of the budget, the government can fine-tune it or provide an additional fund to meet the requirement of the MPs. So the budget will be passed.”
Political analyst Azmi Hassan doesn’t doubt that the budget will be passed – “Lest those who oppose the Bill are labelled as self-serving MPs who put party agenda above the rakyat’s needs, ” he said. Azmi foresees that Budget 2021 will be voted on along partisan lines. Most probably, he said, the opposition would abstain from voting as an implicit signal of no confidence in Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
“By convention, the opposition usually will vote against the Bill. But it is a special time so the warring parties will want to demonstrate that they have the rakyat as the priority, ” he said.
As for Umno, Azmi said the party’s statement, issued after its supreme council met on Thursday night, put to rest that some of their MPs might not support the Bill. Umno declared that it would ensure that Budget 2021 was passed.
“But on a personal note, I wish the MPs would debate the Bill’s contents and not use the time simply to show displeasure for Muhyiddin. Debate to make the Bill better for the rakyat, ” he said.
Tomorrow, Parliament convenes and Budget 2021 will be tabled on Friday. It will see debates and ministerial replies at the policy stage followed by voting by MPs on Nov 23. If a majority of MPs vote for it, it goes to the committee stage where MPs will vote on the specific measures in the budget. For the record, the government has 113 MPs and the opposition 108 MPs. There are rumblings that some government MPs could turn rogue and not support the Bill.
On Oct 28, for the third time in five days, the King advised all MPs, regardless of party lines, to stop the political squabbling and support Budget 2021 for the well-being of the people at a time when the nation is facing various crises, including the Covid-19 pandemic and economic slowdown.
However, for some politicians, politicking is like breathing. There are those who are plotting to bring down Muhyiddin’s government so that they can have their choice of prime minister or form a unity government.
What are the consequences if Budget 2021 is not passed?
Azmi said all 2021 expenses, including the budget for civil servants’ emoluments and development, would be in limbo. The Bill, he said, no doubt would be enhanced compared to the previous Covid-19 pandemic packages.
“Without this budget, hands would be tied in confronting the effects of the pandemic, especially on our economy. This situation has never happened in our history and we will be going into uncharted territory, ” he said.
However, Azmi said he is “pretty sure our representatives will act more responsibly unlike their counterparts in the American Congress who used the (Covid-19) stimulus package as a means of political brinkmanship.”
If the budget Bill is defeated, Chin said it would be the “nuclear scenario”. The prime minister, according to Westminster convention, must resign, he said. “But remember this is not written down in law. It is a political convention. Some people say that Malaysia should not follow Westminster convention. But, generally speaking, the consensus among experts is this convention does apply to Malaysia because our Parliament is basically based on the British system, ” he said.
If Budget 2021 is passed, what are the political consequences?
Does it mean that Muhyiddin has “won”? Or will there be more politicking? Azmi said the opposition and Umno would want to demonstrate that their support of the Bill or that refraining from voting on it does not mean that they support the Prime Minister. This perception, he said, is critical to ensure that the legislation goes through. “I think not only Muhyiddin understands this but the rakyat too, ” he said.
Therefore, Azmi said, the political consequence would be that nothing much has changed about whether Muhyiddin has majority support. The status quo remains, with the opposition still on their quest for a new prime minister and Umno only supporting Muhyiddin till the next general election, he said.
“No doubt there will be more politicking, not immediately after the Bill is passed perhaps, but most probably after the Sabah pandemic issue is under control, ” he said. Umno, in its latest statement, has stated that GE15 should be held once the Covid-19 pandemic is under control. Passing Budget 2021 is just a ceasefire from politicking. A snap election seems inevitable.- Philips Golingai,Star

Dr.M says muslims have right to
 'Kill millions of French people'...
Former Malaysian leader Mahathir Mohamad launched into a shocking late-night Twitter tirade on Thursday when he said Muslims had the right "to kill millions of French people" as the publications of cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad has led to deadly violence in France and protests across the Islamic world. Read his blog posting MISREPRESENTED CONTEXT .
His words came the same day that a knife-wielding attacker killed three people at a church in the seaside French city of Nice, beheading one of the victims. The killings followed the murder of a school teacher on Oct. 16 in a northern Paris suburb, who was beheaded after showing cartoons published in the satirical Charlie Hebdo magazine to students in his class in a lecture on freedom of expression. Protests erupted and boycotts against French goods were announced in several Muslim countries.
In a Twitter thread titled "RESPECT OTHERS", the outspoken, 95-year-old statesman poured fuel on the fiery debate. "While I believe in the freedom of expression, I do not think it includes insulting other people," Mahathir said. "In Malaysia, where there are people of many different races and religions, we have avoided serious conflicts between races because we are conscious of the need to be sensitive to the sensitivities of others."
Mahathir then went on to criticize French President Emmanuel Macron's handling of the controversy. "Macron is not showing that he is civilised. He is very primitive in blaming the religion of Islam and Muslims for the killing of the insulting school teacher. It is not in keeping with the teachings of Islam," Mahathir said, before launching into the most outrageous remark of all: "Muslims have a right to be angry and to kill millions of French people for the massacres of the past. The French in the course of their history have killed millions of people. Many were Muslims."
But while he did not approve of the killings, he said that the Muslims "had the right to punish the French".
"By and large the Muslims have not applied the "eye for an eye" law. Muslims don't. The French shouldn't. Instead the French should teach their people to respect other people's feelings," Mahathir said.
Lebai Hadi kata perlunya boikot barang Perancis.
Tapi gomen pintu belakang yang lebai anggotai itu kata NO!!!...
Twitter initially declined to remove the offending tweets but did so hours later following a furious reaction from the French government, who called for Mahathir's account to be suspended. Twitter later told the AFP news agency that it was because the comments "violated official policy regarding glorification of violence."
Responding to the outcry, he claimed his words were taken out of context and that he was "disgusted with attempts to misrepresent" them.
Mahathir served as prime minister of Muslim-majority Malaysia twice, from 1981 to 2003 and again from 2018 to 2020. He has a long history of making inflammatory, bigoted and anti-Semitic remarks. In a book published in 1970 titled "The Malay Dilemma," he addressed the problem of racial harmony in Malaysia, arguing in favor of Malay Muslims and saying that they were the rightful owners of Malaya and their population had been marginalized. - Heather Chen,Vice
Row with France - why is Dr.M
so full of hate?...
What will many of our elite Malaysians do in the wake of the call to boycott French products because of the warning against radical Muslims by French President Emmanuel Macron?
Will a former self-styled "First Lady of Malaysia" (Flom) ditch her prized collection of multi million-ringgit Hermès Birkin bags? Will our 'tai-tais' (ladies who lunch) stop using French perfumes and cosmetics?
When travel restrictions are lifted and the jet set can indulge in a bit of retail therapy in the shopping capitals of the world, will they refuse to travel if the aeroplane is an Airbus A380? Will some Malays stop their debauched partying on the Riviera?
If the French successfully develop a vaccine for Covid-19, will the Muslims reject the treatment?
Religious extremists only want to spread hatred, and violence is a means to an end, but who would have thought that former PM, Dr Mahathir Mohamad, a nonagenarian, and a family man, would actually tweet words that encourage more violence?
Yesterday, Mahathir's tweet which said, "Muslims have a right to be angry and to kill millions of French people for the massacres of the past," was initially flagged by Twitter for "glorifying violence", but was finally deleted. Mahathir has supported calls to boycott French products and has called Macron "primitive".
Some Malaysians view Mahathir as a statesman, but he is no statesman. He is only another ego-centric politician, whose dreams of becoming a prime-minister-for-life have come to nought. He only thinks about the next election, but not about creating a Malaysia that is united and rejects extremism in all forms.
Muslims who resort to violent tactics do not know their religion. If they did, they would have known Surah Al-Qasas, 28:551 which says: "And when they hear ill speech, they turn away from it and say, ‘For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. Peace will be upon you; we seek not the ignorant.’"
Drawings or writings which are controversial do not give others the right to murder. Killing in the name of any God is wrong.
The people who think that Muslims who use religion as an excuse to kill because of a cartoon or piece of writing, should realise that today, it is a teacher, a church official, or a church-goer. How long before these deranged people attack other Muslims who may be too liberal for their liking, such as LGBTs or those who do not dress conservatively?
Isn't it strange that many Muslims flee their oppressive homelands, risk rough seas, cut-throat human traffickers and travel thousands of miles to reach Christian shores? Once they are given asylum in western countries like France, a number then try to impose their conservative values on a nation which encourages secularism, equality, freedom of expression and tolerates people of other faiths. Why did they even bother to leave their homeland?
Mahathir's supporters glorify him for his developments, like the Twin Towers or that a capital city was created in a former marshland and oil palm estate. The skyscrapers and manufacturing industries are monuments to Mahathir's desire to make Malaysia a developed nation. Sadly, he did not nurture our human capital.
The Malays and Muslims eye the non-Malays and non-Muslims with suspicion. We appear to have lost our humanity and our social and moral values. Instead, we chase money and material goods.
Mahathir cannot get along with his deputies, has great difficulty in grooming a successor, and tries his best to mould Malaysia into his vision of a nation. He has failed in all of these, and his Vision 2020 lies dead in the gutter. He can't give a talk at universities, like Oxford or Cambridge, without causing controversy with his racist remarks.
His pet project, Proton, has been taken over by the People's Republic of China (PRC). For decades we told him, and his successors, to stop the political meddling in Malaysia Airlines (MAS). Ironically, the Covid pandemic finally grounded MAS, where we had failed.
Malaysia is a nation in crisis, mainly because of the division started and perpetuated by Mahathir. Successive leaders are no better. They merely perfected his methods and did nothing to unite the nation. Their oft-repeated mantra was that only their party, be it Umno Baru or PAS, can "unite the Malays, and defend Islam." Some of us wrongly believed that Mahathir would right his wrongs after GE14.
Mahathir's contentious tweet, which he made yesterday, was preceded by another which said: "Irrespective of the religion professed, angry people kill. The French in the course of their history has killed millions of people. Many were Muslims."
So, to which period in history is Mahathir referring? Is he urging the modern world to take revenge for what happened centuries ago?
Why does Mahathir want to pick a fight with others? Surely it is time for his children to tell him to retire gracefully, or risk more harm to his already disgraced legacy. - Mariam Mokhtar.mk

The inside story of Zahid’s
letter to the Agong...
Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s letter to the Agong, in which the Umno president expressed support for his PKR counterpart Anwar Ibrahim as prime minister, was sent just 48 hours after he met with Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, an investigation by MalaysiaNow confirms.
What followed were tense gatherings at Muhyiddin’s house as ministers expressed shock and disbelief, and another private confrontation between Muhyiddin and Zahid, where the latter demanded that several of his colleagues in the Cabinet be sacked.
The Oct 11 letter, co-signed by former Umno president Najib Razak, was sent ahead of a royal audience granted to Anwar at Istana Negara on Oct 13, where he was supposed to provide proof of his claim to possessing the majority support of MPs in the Dewan Rakyat.
But two days before that, Zahid had met Muhyiddin at the latter’s residence in Bukit Damansara. During that meeting, Zahid gave his commitment to the prime minister of Umno’s support, at a time when Anwar was predicting the doom and eventual collapse of Muhyiddin’s government.
An insider who revealed details of the meeting to MalaysiaNow said Zahid also went a step further by asking if Muhyiddin’s Bersatu would like to become the third member of Muafakat Nasional. Muafakat Nasional is the charter inked by Umno and PAS during their time in the opposition, a move by the two Malay-based parties to formalise their cooperation after decades of rivalry.
“Yet, 48 hours later, Zahid and Najib sent their letter to Istana Negara expressing their support for Anwar to replace Muhyiddin as prime minister,” the insider told MalaysiaNow. He added that the letter was prepared without the knowledge of any of the Umno Supreme Council members.
“Only the two of them knew about it. No one else,” he said.
Shocked Umno ministers
So how did a letter to the palace, sent in secret without anyone’s knowledge, become known to the public? Two days later, on Oct 15, a representative from Istana Negara called on Muhyiddin to give him a copy of Zahid’s letter.
“The letter was prepared without the knowledge of any of the Umno Supreme Council members.”
“That same night, the PM summoned all Umno ministers to his house, where he revealed to them the letter of support for Anwar by Zahid and Najib,” the insider said.
During the meeting, the Umno ministers voiced four demands of Muhyiddin, saying they had come under pressure from party members. “They said the party had not been given the positions it deserved in the government,” an aide who was briefed about the meeting told MalaysiaNow.
“But all of them were shocked upon learning about Zahid’s letter, and said that they had never supported Anwar. They then resolved to bring up the matter to the Umno Supreme Council.”
The next day, the contents of the letter were revealed to MalaysiaNow. Soon, several purported copies of it were making the rounds on social media. The Umno Supreme Council meeting to discuss the revelation was postponed many times. “By this time, Zahid was aware that Umno ministers knew about his letter,” said the insider.
Zahid’s demand: sack Umno ministers
On Oct 17, Muhyiddin, who is Bersatu president, arranged for a meeting with Zahid and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang to discuss Muafakat Nasional. Also present were Ahmad Maslan, Takiyuddin Hassan and Hamzah Zainuddin, the secretary-generals of Umno, PAS and Bersatu.
During the meeting, Muhyiddin brought up the elephant in the room: Zahid’s letter to the palace. “When the PM produced the letter, Zahid reacted by saying, ‘There’s no need to bring the letter out’.” An aide to Muhyiddin then handed the letter to Hamzah, who showed it to a visibly shocked Hadi.
Zahid demanded that he be appointed as deputy prime minister and listed the names of Umno leaders whom he said should be dropped from the Cabinet. They include Foreign Minister Hishammuddin Hussein, Health Minister Dr Adham Baba, Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, and National Unity Minister Halimah Sadique. These demands further raised temperatures at the meeting.
‘What do you really want?’ Muhyiddin then questioned Zahid about his intentions and what he wanted.
“Zahid accused the prime minister of breaking his promise,” the insider said.
“Muhyiddin then said he had never promised anything. Zahid said that initially, when Umno supported Bersatu to form the government, it was for Dr Mahathir Mohamad to become the PM, not Muhyiddin.
“Muhyiddin pressed Zahid again about his unhappiness. Zahid replied that as president of Umno, he should have been appointed the deputy prime minister.”
At this point, Hamzah interrupted: “Is it about your case?”
Zahid answered “no”.
“Then what?” Hamzah pressed.
“I’m embarrassed to tell but there are many things that are not right,” Zahid said.
Muhyiddin then told Zahid that he had no say in court matters.
“But as a friend, he said he would pray that Zahid will be acquitted.”
Zahid is facing 47 charges of criminal breach of trust, corruption and money laundering involving funds belonging to his foundation, Yayasan Akalbudi. - malaysianow

Kisah pop-corn si Lobakman...
Kisah pop-corn si Lobakman....
Lobakman tuduh bos KKM manipulasi data lebih 1k pasai Din nak mohon darurat.Hari ni kes bertambah lebih 1k lagi, takkan bos KKM manipulasi angka2 tu lagi kot? Nak tanya pasai apa Lobakman sendiri tak report ke balai polis berdekatan?.. Dia konpius kot...
No end to political wrangling, a day after the rulers advice. All eyes on UMNO , if UMNO leave, the PN govt falls and if PM Din resigns, who’s gonna replace him? So many questions yet so few answers...
A Royal Vote Of No Confidence...
You know it was game over for Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin when Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim expressed his hope that Malaysia will be saved from threats of those who are greedy and power crazy for their personal interests. It was not a normal daily babbling as the remark was made on the same day eight Malay Rulers were about to convene a special meeting.
The crown prince’s father, Sultan Ibrahim of Johor, has great influence over the Malay Rulers. But on Sunday (Oct 25), there was no Conference of Rulers. Instead, it was just an informal get-together of the monarchy to discuss Muhyiddin government’s bizarre proposed declaration of Emergency. The Johor Crown Prince’s statement reflected his father’s opinion, and the result was predictable.
The Sultanate of Johor just needed to ask one simple question to fellow Malay Rulers in the meeting – why neighbouring Singapore, despite its populations of 6 times lesser than Malaysia, did not have to resort to an emergency rule, even though it has more than double of Malaysia’s Coronavirus cases?
In short, before the King Sultan Abdullah, also known as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, announced the result of the Malay Rulers’ meeting of rejecting the backdoor PM Muhyiddin’s request for a Proclamation of Emergency, the writing was already on the wall. But the prime minister, blinded by his lust for power, was over-confident that he could arm-twist the monarch to give him his new toy.
In fact, Muhyiddin and his power-crazy gang of de-facto Deputy Prime Minister Azmin Ali and Home Minister Hamzah Zainudin were so confident of able to rule like Dictator Adolf Hitler that they had called for a meeting of all state leaders (presumably to brief them of the anticipated state of emergency), only to cancel it abruptly after the monarch denied the dubious request.
Just two days earlier on Friday (Oct 23), the disgraced Muhyiddin secretly and hastily repackaged a nuclear option – State of Emergency – but disguised as a nicely wrapped tool to fight Coronavirus. The real objective, however, was to grab absolute power and run the country without check and balance from the Legislative and Judiciary, two essential branches in democracy.
He wanted to suspend the Parliament before the Budget 2021 day, scheduled to be tabled from Nov 2-6, because he had absolutely no confidence of getting his budget passed. Hanging on a 2-seat-majority – just 113-seat in the 222-seat Parliament – the prime minister was advised that up to 90% chance he would lose the budget, and has to resign thereafter.
If the Parliament is suspended and Mr Muhyiddin is granted the emergency power, he could pass his own budget in his bed. Heck, he could even use the Emergency Ordinance under a Proclamation of Emergency to detain anybody whom he thinks is a threat to his iron throne for up to 60 days without an order of detention, and to be held up to 2 years upon a new order.
So on the same evening (Oct 23), Muhyiddin sped to meet the King with a powerful convoy of 25 high-performance cars on a 206-kilometres journey from Putrajaya to Kuantan, Pahang. The premier brought along top guns like Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador and Armed Forces Chief General Affendi Buang – and even Health Director General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The audience with the Agong (King) was expected to produce quick and positive result on the spot, at least that was what the backdoor government thought. After all, the prime minister had brought along every single tool in his arsenal, including the kitchen sink, to hoodwink Sultan Abdullah that a declaration of emergency was absolutely necessary to combat Covid-19.
The powerful convoy arrived at the palace at 4:40pm and left at 7:10pm. To the backdoor prime minister’s shock and dismay, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong refused to grant his wish there and then. After more than 2 hours, the monarch sent the naughty boy back home – empty-handed. When it was confirmed there would be no press conference that night, it was bad news for Muhyiddin.
Still, some silly pro-Muhyiddin bloggers and propagandists managed to spin and twist that it was good news based on some photos that the convoy was served dinner by Sultan Abdullah. Even MCA propaganda news media – The Star – made U-turns in its news coverage, from “possible” state emergency, to an “expected” declaration of emergency, to “no” emergency that day.
The monarch simply told Muhyiddin’s delegation that he needed to discuss with his royal brothers on Sunday (Oct 25). It was a polite way of rejecting the absurd proposal by passing the ball to the Malay Rulers to avoid dirty political blame game at a later stage. The King was not born yesterday. Muhyiddin’s real intention was so obvious that it was written all over his face.
From praising frontliners over world recognition in fighting Covid-19, to praising himself and his backdoor government for working hard in curbing the pandemic “without politicking”, how could the prime minister suddenly tell the monarch that they are loosing the battle? Exactly how could Muhyiddin say he needed a declaration of emergency now when the pandemic is under control?
More importantly, the government has not exhausted all the options to contain the pandemic that it deserves to deploy the nuclear option. That explains why King Sultan Abdullah said he felt there was no need to declare a state of emergency to help authorities fight Covid-19, arguing that Muhyiddin’s administration had so far done a good job of battling the deadly pandemic.
The royal statement was actually mocking the Muhyiddin government as well as lecturing the prime minister not to insult the monarch and people’s intelligence. Amusingly, the premier took it as a compliment at face value and expressed his thanks to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong for his confidence in the government’s ability to address the Covid-19 crisis.
Not only had been Muhyiddin politically ill-advised by his trusted lieutenants Azmin and Hamzah, he was also legally ill-advised by his handpicked Attorney General Idrus Harun. The PM thought it was a done deal because the incompetent Idrus thought the King must obediently act according to the Cabinet’s advice based on Article 40 and Article 150 of the Federal Constitution.
The clueless A.G. Idrus had no idea that there are 13 sub-articles built within Article 150 of the Federal Constitution to provide checks and balances, as lectured by former Attorney General Tommy Thomas. The Agong must satisfy that a “grave” emergency exists – whereby national security, economic life or public order is threatened – before the Article 150 can come into play.
It seemed the King and the Malay Rulers fully agreed with Thomas that when it suits the Muhyiddin government, it would brag about how well they fought and controlled the Coronavirus, but when the same regime is on the brink of collapse – it would sing the apocalypse song. There was no compelling justification at all to declare a nationwide emergency.
Crucially, there were wide protests from the both sides of the political divide against giving an absolute power to the power-hungry regime. Supposedly ally UMNO lawmaker Tengku Razaleigh warned an emergency declaration may be the “final nail in the coffin” for the country’s economy, arguing he cannot see any honest basis for such a request but can only suspect non-honourable motives behind it.
Mahathir Mohamad, a twice prime minister, argued there was no justification for an emergency because there were no riots or violence, and no breakdown in law and order. Like Razaleigh, Mahathir said if Muhyiddin gets his wish, not only it cannot do more to stop the pandemic, but instead the stock market will collapse and investors will flee.
Among all, the Sultans were very worried about a collapse of business, economy, stock market and whatnot. The Malay Rulers understood very well that when things go south, which is almost a certainty, the Monarchy Institution will be blamed by 33-million angry people for recklessly and irresponsibly granting absolute power to the Perikatan Nasional regime.
The ongoing Thailand protests by young people against Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O-Cha and their own King have sent shivers down the spine of the Malay Rulers. The student-led mass demonstration had forced the Thai government, with tail between legs, revoked an earlier emergency decree. Why should the Agong protect Muhyiddin, whose request for the emergency is proof he had already lost majority support in the Parliament?
There was another perplexing problem – Muhyiddin’s gang bulldozed for the emergency powers, despite disagreement from ally UMNO. Naturally, whispers of an emergency rule had reached the King before even the prime minister’s powerful convoy started their journey. The Agong was well-prepared – Muhyiddin’s ill-conceived and evil plan was DOA (dead on arrival). - FT
cheers.

Petang tadi Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah menolak cadangan kerajaan untuk melaksanakan Darurat mengikut Perkara 150(1) Perlembagaan Persekutuan.

Muhyiddin wants to resign, say sources...
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is contemplating stepping down as prime minister after failing to convince the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to put the country under emergency rule. Since the royal snub this evening, ministers and Bersatu leaders were seen arriving in droves at Muhyiddin’s house in Bukit Damansara here.
Ministers, as well as MPs, some of whom were teary-eyed, gathered at the prime minister’s residence to convince him not to resign. Leading the group are International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.
“It seems that the defeat might have taken a toll on Muhyiddin, and some are saying that he wants to do the right thing and resign, but is asked to stay on by Azmin and others,” said one.
Muhyiddin on Friday presented to the Agong a proposal to put the country under emergency law. But in a dramatic turn of events, the king today rejected Muhyiddin’s ambition, and instead, told the country’s politicians to stop politicking and focus on combating Covid-19 and reviving the economy.
A senior Bersatu member told The Vibes that some of them were summoned to Muhyiddin’s house. Another member said it was inevitable that Muhyiddin would want to resign, having been defeated in his attempt to call for a state of emergency.
“There is also the question as to whether he has the numbers to support him in Parliament. This, compounded by the decision of the Agong, makes him feel unable to carry out his duties as prime minister.”
Leaders’ cars were seen leaving Muhyiddin’s house around 11.20pm. In a brief statement tonight, Muhyiddin said he respects the Agong’s decision not to declare an emergency.
“The cabinet will discuss His Majesty’s decree further. The main concern of the cabinet and government is to shield the rakyat from the Covid-19 pandemic.
“I appreciate His Majesty’s trust in my government and accept his advice to ensure this government remains stable.” – The Vibes
Meanwhile, several opposition MPs have hailed Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah's decision not to accede to Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin's request to declare a state of emergency. The move has also found some praise from parties within Muhyiddin's own government. PKR's Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Abdul Karim(above) that by convention, the king has to act on the advice of the prime minister.
"However, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong courageously rejected the prime minister's request for an emergency as the ruler understands that in Article 150 of the Federal Constitution, the prerogative to declare an emergency lies with the Agong.
"After consulting with the Malay rulers, he found that the conditions required to declare an emergency was not fulfilled. In other words, he was not satisfied.
"Based on the tradition and practice of parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy, I am of the view that that the Agong's rejection is a slap in the prime minister and Perikatan Nasional government's face.
"The honourable thing to do now is for Muhyiddin to resign as prime minister," he said in a statement today.
DAP's Iskandar Puteri MP Lim Kit Siang thanked the king for his decision. 'The system of constitutional monarchy has proven that it is an important bulwark of parliamentary democracy in Malaysia," he said.
Lim said all Malaysians, including MPs, should now unite to an “all-of-government” and “whole-of-society” war against the third wave of the Covid-19 epidemic in the country. - mk

Darurat kena kat dia...ptuiiiih !!!!!
Darurat kena kat dia...ptuiiiih !!!!!.
  Toksah bubaq Parlimen,darurat dah cukup,
janji aku masih kekal PM...
- TS
Media Statement from Ketua Pembangkang..
SINI dan SINI...
Najib robbed our money and
Din robbed the people’s mandate...
Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin will not make any live announcements tonight, the media was informed. This is after he met the Yang di-Pertuan Agong over the implementation of an "emergency".
However, it is not clear if there will be a statement forthcoming from the prime minister. It also understands that there will also likely be no statement from the palace tonight.
If a declaration of emergency also involved proroguing Parliament, then Muhyiddin will not have to put Budget 2021 to a vote on Nov 17 or face a possible no-confidence vote.
Muhyiddin had an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong at the Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan, Pahang. The audience is to communicate the cabinet decision to propose the "dissolution of the Dewan Rakyat".
"His Majesty is expected to meet his brother rulers soon to get their views too but suffice to say, they will support any decision made by the King," a source told the daily. - mk

Malaysia Political Emergency...
The Cabinet Special Meeting which ended just now is said to be proposing the dissolution of the Dewan Rakyat and the ‘Political Emergency’ to the Yang Di Pertuan Agong to overcome political instability and avoid more conflicts in the next parliamentary session.
In a situation where the government has only 113 members of the Dewan Rakyat, the position of the Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is expected to always be the bet of other politicians. The Cabinet is said to have suggested that Muhyiddin present this proposal for the consideration of the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong.
Based on the current Covid-19 pandemic, the cabinet is said to be discussing the possibility of Tuanku considering a proposal to suspend Parliament and conduct an ‘administrative emergency’ for 6 months before the general election. The presence of the Commander of the Armed Forces, Gen Tan Sri Affendi Buang, in a special cabinet meeting today is said to be to get feedback on possible administrative emergencies.
youtube
This further strengthens the assumption that Tuanku Agong will consider the emergency as a temporary measure to stabilize the country’s politics. If this happens Tuanku Agong will take over the administration of the country with the advice of the emergency cabinet. It can be an existing cabinet or a new cabinet.
This declaration of emergency allows the government to incur emergency expenses without the need for Parliamentary approval. The current government is said to believe that the 2021 Budget to be tabled this November will not pass due to lack of majority support.
At the same time, this political emergency does not involve the government of the Malaysian Armed Forces like a security emergency. -SuaraTV

7. Terdapat pepatah -  ‘Umpama Musang Berbulu Ayam’ yang membawa maksud orang jahat yang berpura – pura baik; tujuan pepatah ini memberi kita AMARAN supaya senantiasa berhati – hati dan berwaspada terhadap orang sebegini agar : ‘Pisang Tidak Berbuah Dua Kali’

18. Pilihanraya Negeri terpaksa diadakan ekoran mainan politik kotor Muhyiddin yang mahu menggantikan Shafie Apdal dengan Musa Aman.
19. Umum semua tahu Muhyiddin telah menghantar Hamzah Zainuddin, Menteri Dalam Negeri merangkap Setiausaha Agung BERSATU dan Nardin Awang , Setiausaha Politiknya sendiri untuk mendesak TYT mengikut telunjuk mereka, namun ditolak dan atas cadangan Shafie, Dewan Negeri pun dibubarkan.

21. BERSATU yang hanya punyai 6 kerusi boleh memperdaya UMNO yang punyai 39 Kerusi sehingga sanggup bersetuju Muhyiddin diketengahkan walaupun asalnya BERSATU Muhyiddin hanya diwakili 6 Ahli Parlimen sebelum Pengkhianat UMNO dan PKR melompat ke kolam BERSATU seperti katak.
24. Anda sudah gagal atau atau dalam bahasa Inggerisnya, YOU ARE A FAILURE!!!
26. YOU ARE FIGHTING A LOSING BATTLE!!!
- Tamrin Tun Ghafar
Hail the Prime Minister of Malaysia...
I am really getting a bit tired of the antics of our Wannabe PM, our Backdoor PM, our ex PM, our Convicted PM, and all our Frog Master CMs.
I am at a loss to find sub-flattering adjectives to describe them. Seems to me they are all a lot like the insane Nero, playing his fiddle while Rome burns. Our country is in dire straits from this Covid menace, yet our not so honourable PMs think nothing of precipitating by-elections, snap elections, and flaccid-dick erections, to further their selfish, dishonest, dishonourable and even immoral objectives. They are a terrible example to our children, as to what Leaders (I hate that word) and Leadership are all about. They will resort to everything, and anything at all, to further their selfish interests. Nothing is sacred. I suspect, they will probably even consider selling their mothers too, if it contributes to their objectives. I believe none of them really have our interests, and our country’s interest, in their black hearts and warped minds.
The backdoor PM’s methods of buying support for his shaky government by creating one of the world’s biggest cabinet (last I checked about 70 ministers and deputy ministers), and  appointing sycophants, frogs and incompetent MPs as heads of our GOCs and GLCs, are not easy to forgive. How he came to be the PM should be a textbook lesson in treachery.
The ex PM burst into the scene on an enthusiastic wave and hope of Reformation and Renaissance, but sadly, he failed to pluck even the low hanging fruits. His over riding aim seemed to have been to stop the Wannabe PM from ever becoming PM, and under the cloak of a new Malaysia, he was still the same. For crying out loud, resigning without first discussing with his PH team about what is in the best interest of the PH govt then,  and the country, apart from resigning, is what I would have done if I were the PM. But no, he had to resign, and in one fell swoop, he destroyed the hopes of all those Malaysian people who elected him and the PH government. Downright silly, I would say.   Sadly, history will now remember him for his failures, rather than what he did for our country.
I have nothing to say about the only Malaysian PM who has been charged, tried, and convicted. You have heard it all. But in some countries like Japan, not only would they have immediately resigned, they would have committed hara-kiri in shame, and as a last mitigating act of honour. But what amazes me even more, are the hordes of mindless and unthinking people, who continue to kiss the ground he walks on, zombie-like chanting, what is there to be ashamed of, my boss. What on earth have infected these people. Even Covid won’t make you lose your mind like this.  The ex-prime Minister says its dedak, whatever that is. As to his position in Parliament, I will simply draw your attention to the provisions of Article 48 (1)(e) of the Federal Constitution, and leave it at that.
My last observation is directed to the party hopping MPs and ADUNs who are easily enticed to hop from one party to another, causing the collapse of governments, no doubt for  substantial  financial and other gains, and nothing to do with  honour and what is right. They are called frogs, but I sincerely believe this is an injustice to frogs, because the behaviour of these MPs and ADUNs, are definitely sub-human, sub-animal and sub everything that is despicable. The polite term for them is, they are snollygosters.
Please pray. Our country is in dire straits. What we as individuals can do is, to remember the names and faces of these people. Don’t ever give your vote to them ever again. You should vote for anybody, even a lamppost, if the lamp post is the alternative to them in the next election. - Yusuf Hashim
cheers.

Mahathir, Razaleigh dan penyatuan
hegemoni Melayu-Islam...
- TS
If these two figures work together, with Mahathir as PM and Ku Li TPM, will they both be able to attract 130 MPs from the 222 MPs of various parties that exist now??? - TS
Dr.M, Ku Li and the consolidation
of Malay-Muslim hegemony...
Against the backdrop of increasing political instability, the demand for a no-confidence vote against Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin seems to be gaining momentum. More than a dozen opposition MPs including Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah have already submitted no-confidence motions or are demanding that Muhyiddin’s support in the House be put to the test.
What is now becoming clear is that the move to topple Muhyiddin is not the result of several disgruntled groups or individuals acting on their own but part of an orchestrated move that has Dr Mahathir’s fingerprints all over it.
The key question is not the vote itself — it is, after all, just a means to an end — but what comes after. The recent statement from the Istana calling on political leaders not to precipitate another crisis and urging them to focus on the challenges at hand (the pandemic and economic fallout) suggests that the Istana is not in favour of fresh elections at this time and would prefer for party leaders to sort things out among themselves as quickly as possible.
The real issue, therefore, is who will replace Muhyiddin as prime minister should he lose a vote of confidence in Parliament. Anwar, the presumptive front-runner, has just shot himself in the foot with his botched attempt to convince the Istana that he has majority support in the House. Worse still, recent explosive revelations in the media that he collaborated with UMNO president Zahid Hamidi and disgraced former prime minister Najib Tun Razak to convince the Istana of his support has been incredibly damaging to his credibility. In the meantime, discontent is rising within PKR; another exodus from the party is rumoured.
With Anwar effectively out of the running and Zahid hobbled by all the criminal charges against him, the field is now wide open and that is where Mahathir comes in. Mahathir may be out of office but it has not stopped him from working behind the scenes to engineer a political solution more to his liking.
Of course, he would like to return to power if possible — he keeps insisting that “people” want him to save the country — but for now he seems content to allow his old adversary, Tengku Razaleigh,  to take the lead. Mahathir’s goal is not to just stop Anwar but to achieve something bigger: the creation of a super uber-Malay political conglomerate to replace UMNO as the dominant force in the country.
It’s the same plan that Mahathir was working on before. Though he was perfectly happy to use them when it suited him, Mahathir has never been comfortable relying on the DAP to rule. It goes against everything he has stood for and fought for. Indeed, to him Pakatan Harapan represented a diminution of Malay power, a challenge to the Malay supremacist ideology he has always cherished and espoused.
It may be recalled that immediately upon returning to power following UMNO’s disastrous performance in GE14, Mahathir set about to create an alternative to UMNO. His strategy was to destroy UMNO by enticing its MPs to abandon their corrupt leaders and join his PPBM. He also reached out to PAS, forging a new relationship with Hadi Awang, once a bitter foe. Despite being in the opposition at the time, Hadi pledged his support to Mahathir in his fight with Anwar. Mahathir also successfully split up PKR by engineering the defection of Azmin Ali and his faction.
UMNO is deeply split. Those who are facing serious corruption charges want to hijack the party to put pressure on Muhyiddin to help get them out of their predicament. Others in UMNO see the corruption charges against their leaders as an ideal opportunity to undertake housecleaning and reform. Of course, it also clears a path to their own rise to power. Zahid is also not as popular as he used to be; his scheme to position himself as deputy prime minister has not gone down well with other equally ambitious leaders. Zahid and Najib’s endorsement of Anwar (whom many in UMNO still distrust) was also not popular within UMNO.
As well, Hadi Awang and his colleagues in PAS have grown increasingly wary of the current UMNO leadership. Indeed, the UMNO-PAS pact (Muafakat Nasional) is barely holding together despite their recent kiss and make up session. PAS, having tasted federal power and the enormous benefits it brings, seems unwilling to jeopardise the gains it has made just to support a clutch of UMNO leaders with numerous corruption charges hanging over their heads.
Together with  Tengku Razaleigh, Mahathir is now trying to forge a new political arrangement that will unite UMNO (minus its corrupt leaders), PPBM (minus Muhyiddin), Mahathir’s Pejuang, Amanah, PAS and disaffected PKR MPs. With the tacit support of Warisan and GRS, that should give Razaleigh enough support to stake a claim to the premiership in the event Muhyiddin is forced out.
Mahathir may not have all his ducks in a row just yet but he seems confident that once the plan gathers momentum, he can successfully appeal to Malay-Muslim MPs to come together to “save” the nation. Such a plan would give Mahathir everything he wants — it would stop Anwar, punish Najib, Zahid and all the other corrupt UMNO leaders who oppose him; put his son in a strong position, sideline the DAP and consolidate Malay-Muslim supremacy. It’s a bold and ambitious plan, no doubt, but one with broad appeal to warring Malay parties and groups.
The DAP, of course, will not like it but their options are limited — stay neutral or  support either Muhyiddin or Zahid. It’s lose-lose for them whichever way you look at it.   Can Mahathir and Tengku Razaleigh pull it off? With razor-thin margins in Parliament, it would only take a few MPs to shift sides to bring down the government and pave the way for Tengku Razaleigh to take the premiership as a “compromise” candidate.
No matter how much he may fear it, Muhyiddin cannot avoid a no-confidence motion once Parliament resumes because the budget will have to be tabled and passed come November. Traditionally, the defeat of a money bill is taken to mean that the government no longer enjoys the support of the House. The next few weeks will be intense; unless he can come up with a winning strategy to counter Mahathir, Muhyiddin’s days might well be numbered. - Dennis Ignatius
cheers.

Sidang media khas oleh Anwar Ibrahim...
Kalu sebanyak tu burung hud-hud...
tak perlulah hadir kuliah Matematik lagi...
Istana says Anwar did not furnish
names of MPs to back his claim...
Anwar Ibrahim said he had presented documentation to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to show that he purportedly commands the majority support of MPs. Claiming to have the backing of more than 120 MPs, the opposition leader said he submitted statutory declarations and confirmations from party leaders as well.
"I appeal to all to give His Majesty space to carry out his responsibilities... "(His Majesty) will summon the heads of parties over the next day or two," he told a press conference in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon.
However, according to Istana Negara's comptroller of the royal household Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said that Anwar Ibrahim did not provide the names of the MPs who are supporting him during his audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
"During the session, which lasted about 25 minutes, Datuk Seri Anwar presented the total number of members of the Dewan Rakyat who purportedly supported him. "However, he did not furnish the names of these Dewan Rakyat members to strengthen his claim," he added in a statement this afternoon.
Therefore, he said Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah had advised Anwar to abide by and respect the legal process as enshrined in the Federal Constitution.
Several political party leaders have been summoned to Istana Negara following the Yang di Pertuan Agong's audience with PKR president Anwar Ibrahim this morning. This afternoon, the Agong granted an audience to Gua Musang MP and Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah.
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng (above) will have an audience with His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today, following the royal audience of Parti Keadilan Rakyat president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim earlier.
Lim Guan Eng has received the notification to go to the Istana Negara. He is currently in Penang to attend the Penang state assembly meeting in his capacity as Air Putih assemblyman. However, the source did not reveal the actual time Lim will have the audience with the King. - mk
Kalu Anwar tak bagi nama, that's the end of the story.Pasai apa dok nak jumpa Ku Li,LGE lagi? Anwar tak dedah pun nama, tapi 7-8 ekoq MP UMNO yang bangang buat report polis...
Anwar is not stupid. He would not make this move and risk everything unless he is sure. The fact that he made this high risk move says to me that he is sure. He would not have gone to the palace with just a number and no proof. That is certain. If he did, the King would not have called Ku Li. He showed the proof to the King but perhaps he didnt hand over the proof to the palace to keep. Anwar trusts the King but he might not trust the palace officials and i dont blame him. The stakes are high. - Anonymous 15897060865429524
The list can easily fall into wrong hands. The respective heads of parties are the best people to provide the names. Remember when Dr M published his list during the Sheraton move Immediately people were bought over by promises of positions. The list of 115 whittled down to 100 within hours. People were proudly putting out videos saying they don't support Dr M. Kitingan comically immediately switched sides cos he knew TSMY was winning.. - YellowEagle3055
If Anwar does not present the list to Agong, his highness will not be ordering the respective heads of the political parties to the palace. Just only 2 Umno MPs jump over to Anwar's side, Muhyidden's government will collapsed. Just so simple as that. - wg321
The fact that Agong has summon various parties leaders to see him suggest that there is more than meet the eyes of this statement. Why would Agong summon the parties leaders if he had not given any names? Anwar is a very intelligent man, he would not do something so silly. If he does then that would be the end of his political career. The statement reeks of politics, almost a royal rebuke, wonder WHY? - JusticeNow
- TS
Anwar is supposed to meet PDRM yesterday in regard to the alleged list of MPs who supported him. Now, Anwar did not provide a list to YDPA because there is no such a ‘list’. Would PDRM still want to see Anwar? - Fairplay
cheers.

Anwar from prison to palace...
Anwar from prison to palace....

Is Anwar for real this time?.
I happened to meet Nurul Izzah the other day, and apparently the focus of our chat had to be her father's audience with the King on Tuesday. I cannot quote the conversation here, but I can sum up that Anwar is not going to the Palace empty-handed this time, and he has indeed anticipated several possible consequences, although no conclusion can yet be drawn at this moment.
Of course, many observers are of the opinion that Anwar is playing the "crying wolf" game again. We can still remember very well September 16 in 2008, the day he had claimed there would be a change of government at the federal level. We all know this didn't happen.
Some have counted three wolf-crying instances and this is going to be his fourth attempt! Nonetheless, some others are of the view that the situation is quite different this time, and it could be real this time! Their argument: the King is willing to grant him an audience.
Logically speaking, Anwar should have some very solid evidence with him, such as a statutory declaration signed by the MPs, in order to convince His Majesty that he really has the numbers to form the new government.
Anwar knows very well that if he doesn't have any solid evidence in hand, yet claims to have the numbers to seek the royal consent to form the government, the consequences could be grave, and could very much cost him his political career.
The mood has somewhat altered during the past several days. Three weeks ago, when Anwar first announced that he would seek an audience with the King to form the new government, public response was more of skepticism. But after he announced the date of the royal audience last week, many became half skeptical, and his political rivals who used to jeer at him became tensed up.
Umno leaders, in particular, have been trying to confirm Anwar's claim, making guesses who in their midst could be possible defectors to Anwar's camp. This thing never before happened to a united and confident Umno of the past. The thing is: Umno is today divided with several warlords each reigning over his own faction. Cohesiveness is lacking, and this creates a rare opportunity for defection.
The relationship between Umno and PPBM has soured around the Sabah state elections. Umno leaders and grassroots feel that they have been taken for a ride by PPBM. They say Umno lost some of the seats because of leg-pulling by PPBM. The appointment of Hajiji Noor as chief minister has further accentuated such frustration.
The overlapping of seats between Umno and PPBM is a course of concern for many in Umno that PPBM could take away more of their seats in future. After the Sabah elections, there have been calls for the party to break its ties with PPBM. Those with vested interests have even proposed to collaborate with Anwar to take out Muhyiddin!
Like Anwar, Umno also wants to take out Muhyiddin, but they differ in their ulterior motives. While Anwar hopes the King will grant him the consent to form the new government, Umno wants a snap poll. Of course, luck may be on Anwar's side this time.
The coronavirus outbreak is now in the third wave as we see sharp rises in daily new infection numbers. With the Sabah elections largely blamed for the latest spike, holding a snap election anytime soon is a no-no.
Having GE15 now will send the COVID-19 situation out of hand and may trigger a powerful backlash among the people. Given such consideration, a snap poll is obviously not the most advisable option at this moment.
Hangpa faham2 mai...
Another option is to allow the leader with majority support in the Parliament to form the new government. Anwar will get this opportunity if he really has the numbers, provided that he can prove the numbers, not just a razor-thin majority but convincing enough. Muhyiddin's weakness lies with the fact he only commands a very small majority in the Parliament.
Anwar may not get the mandate if he only has a tiny majority to start with. Even if he manages to put up his government, its fate will not be any better than Muhyiddin's.
The thing is, by any calculation it is hard to come up with a majority number that is solid enough. The three parties of Pakatan Harapan only have a total of 91 seats and GPS Sarawak has repeatedly denied it will support Anwar, while PAS is firmly behind Muhyiddin.
Meanwhile, Mahathir's gang of six has drawn the line and Warisan will most likely go Mahathir's way, as PPBM and allies naturally back their president Muhyiddin. We are then left with only Umno! It is impossible for all Umno reps to turn to Anwar, and those who have been named have rushed to deny allegiance, and have even lodged police reports.
It remains a myth how many people Anwar actually has on his side. Perhaps Anwar's plan is to change the position of GPS and Warisan to command a stable majority in the Parliament, once he is granted the consent to form the new government, and then motivate more Umno and PPBM, even PAS reps to join him to achieve what he claimed a strong and solid majority.
And the threshold is right at the Palace. It doesn't matter whether it's going to be front door, back door, or side door. The question now is: can he cross the threshold? Politics is the art of the impossible. There's no way for us to draw any conclusion now. - Tay Tian Yan, Sin Chew Daily
cheers.
