The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road (2009, Media․Vision)
The above are all from the intro, unfortunately the rest of the game doesn't have that lovely Halloween atmosphere, and the gameplay is very repetitive.
The trackball movement was also an interesting, questionable choice..

In order to add newly encountered Digimon to your team in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, players will have to meet that particular Digimon multiple times, with each fresh meeting adding to it’s Scan Rate. Once the player has reached 100% (or up to 200%) for a particular Digimon, they can automatically DigiConvert it and gain access to it for their team from there. This approach ensures that players are extremely familiar with a given Digimon before they are able to use it themselves (at least when creating it with DigiConvert), especially when it comes to higher evolution Digimon, which add to the Scan Rate more slowly.

Unicorn Vampire Worm - CR3 Vermin
A monster based on one of the terrible monster designs from the original Wild ARMs.
Tumblr media
Artwork is an in-game screenshot from Wild ARMs 1, copyright Media.Vision.
Here’s a slightly higher-res image of one of its palette swaps, from a worse angle.
Tumblr media
Wild ARMs is one of the first video game RPGs with 3D enemies, and the enemies look really bad.  My impression is that someone had designed a worm enemy named Larva that looked like a giant caterpillar with a tail spine, but decided it was too boring, so they gave it spiky hair.  Then they decided it was still too boring, so they gave it a unicorn horn.  Then they decided it was still too boring, so they gave it a face with vampire teeth.
Anyway, unicorn vampire worms travel with members of their hive, and instinctively work together.  They don’t necessarily stay within sight of each other at all times, but if you find one by itself in a room or outdoors, there are probably ten or twenty more within a couple minutes of crawling distance.
If you want to support this blog, now there’s an easy way to do so through my Ko-Fi page!  https://ko-fi.com/lockez
Unicorn Vampire Worm - CR 3
This three foot long, spiky-haired, spine-tailed worm has a mean-looking face with long fangs extending from its mouth, and a brightly colored horn with a little pom-pom on the end.  It looks like it was created by either a very drunk wizard or a horrible series of magical accidents.

Pros & Cons
A war based tactical rpg that lets you control a military squad.
Beautiful graphics that look like pencil drawings.
Incredible characters with both english and japanese voice acting.
Great music and sound effects.
An awesome war story with some side stories to enjoy.
You can drive a tank, use rifles, lance looking rocket launchers, grenades and sniper rifles.
Command Points, these are used to control one character at a time. You can either save them up or use them all in one turn.
Characters have a meter that lets them move to a certain distance.
Duck and cover system that helps reduce damage.
Careful your health can reduce fast if you take enough damage, also your health pack only heals you to a certain amount.
Some chapters are quite difficult, it will require you to play the side missions over and over again to gain exp.
Some characters will randomly duck upcoming attacks.
While targeting, the game will tell you how many shots it will take to defeat your enemy.

My Experience
I like to play chess every once in a while. Nothing than having your best pieces going up against a good opponent. You need to come up with a strategy to outsmart and defeat your enemy. The exact same scenario you get when you play Valkyria Chronicles, you have your troops as your  pieces and your king is a tank. I found out about this game thanks to youtube related videos, watched the first part of the walkthrough, mainly the tutorial part. I was so intrigued of this game that I had it in mind to get it one day.
….well that one day turned out to be the following morning I watched that video. *nervous laugh*
I usually don’t care for tactical strategy games, but since Valkyria Chronicles had this great looking anime graphics to it, I had to play it. The cast of characters is great, from the main characters that the main story is about to the side characters you get to be on your squad. The coolest thing for me about this game is the characters, they are all with their unique personalities, special attributes and voices. You read that right, every character has a different unique voice. All these characters have different ranks from scouts to snipers; they also have special abilities that can help or completely mess up your chance of victory.
You can recruit a soldier, this soldier may have a pollen allergies attribute, so if they are close to anything floral their stats will drop. With those stats dropped, an enemy that can easily be defeated, your recruit might not succeed. Now if the recruit is a nature lover, the stats will grow and be an easy win. The soldiers have others that they rely on, put them together and they will all fight together. But just like they have those they rely on, they also have those they despise.
The worst part is that this game shares the most difficult/frustrating quality of Fire Emblem, if your characters are taking down and the enemy reaches them or certain time passes. Your soldier will be permanently dead, all except the characters that are important to the main story, if they fall you won’t be able to use them until the next mission. Even if those important characters die, you are penalized with losing one CP point. But if you kill an enemy soldier that has a CP point, they also lose it too.
I can go on and on about these characters but I’ll eventually start to repeat myself. In short this game is absolutely amazing, I would recommend this game to anyone who is looking to find something different in the war game genre. Valkyria Chronicles is a game that will make you laugh, cry and enjoy from start to finish. It has some beautiful graphics, a solid gameplay, great story, great characters and hours to play. If you have a chance, try it out!

While the player is able to assemble a variety of Digimon and incrementally improve their capabilities through battle experience in Digimon: Cyber Sleuth, the most significant changes occur when they Digivolve. In addition to gaining new Skills and Stat improvements, each point on a Digimon’s evolution tree allows for key decisions about their Type, Attribute, and further evolution options. On top of that, many evolutions are only available when specific criteria are made, some of which cannot be acquired before reaching the initial maximum level for that Digimon. This, along providing a new selection of choices, is why De-Digivolving is also available to players for any Digimon at a rank of Rookie or higher.
