I think it’s so funny how nobody gets mad at the evil business, clown, or politician cliches in media, but I regularly see posts absolutely FURIOUS about the “overuse” of the evil church / evil God / evil angels cliche.
Like… Oh golly, oh gee! I wonder why THAT is the specific trope that just-so-happens to piss people off? I guess we’ll never know!!

media literacy tip number whatever: just because there's a paper on something doesn't mean it's reliable or a good source. remember to check if something is peer reviewed, what journal it was published in/how it was published, who wrote it, and if the sources cited are 1) reputable and 2) actually say what the author claims they're saying. also the methodologies used and the ways in which they account for bias
