My MC for My Candy Love New Gen!! I pre-registered but we'll see if I actually play much of it. Beemov hasn't been in my good graces since the rushed ending of MCL and everything that was University Life...
I will say, however, that I do like what they have to put on your character even from the little bit on the New Gen page.
So far there seems to be at least one arm and leg prosthetic though I'm doubtful they'll be featured in CGs. I imagine they'll function like other accessories and will only be shown on the doll. I wouldn't blame them if that ends up being the case as that would be a LOT of options to draw so I won't be too bothered if it comes down to a little imagination
I'm just glad to see the options there at all!!

I think her already having a great relationship with Lindsey and Rose AND not literally playing with a torn MCL is going to be HUGE for us.

i do hate to jump any guns before official announcements but A) mcl seems to have a terrible track record with throwing drivers under the bus and cutting contracts and B) dannyric was the only member of the mcl team to confirm his seat for 2023, over two weeks ago when replacement rumors first started. it was radio silence from mclaren then too, just as it is now. cut to him a week or so ago, delivering his team speech, and writing his instagram post, declaring his loyalty and commitment. maybe the coup de grace is piastri denying a seat at alpine in a tweet that doesn’t not imply he’s working through contract negotiations under another f1 team. two days after that, this little rumor pops up…all in all i do not like the direction i think this is going in </3

Hiiii I really loved reading your takes after races this year and so I was hoping you’d Grace us with a maybe a little end of season review on how the season has gone in your opinion? No pressure I just love hearing your thoughts, hope this is okay!
hey aw this is totally okay! def didn’t think anyone cared about these thoughts of mine haha.
problem is i have the worst memory and literally do not remember what i had for dinner yesterday so i don’t feel like i’m actually that great at doing a season review. if you’re truly interested i’ll re-watch all the race highlights to refresh my memory.
but all in all i loved the season, i am (amongst other drivers) a Max fan so while i would prefer maybe a bit closer racing for wins i don’t mind watching him break world records like i love watching him win. but i also thoroughly enjoyed Singapore for example even though everyone and their mother apparently didn’t like that Carlos won. not me, i was cheering him on all the way.
i was sad for Nyck but obviously happy my favorite driver is back on the grid and deffo excited to see what’ll happen next year, especially with how many contracts are up 👀
still very confused on how AM fell away so much while MCL was able to gain everything.
stellar rookie season for Oscar 🤩 even if it pains me to see Zac Brown happy i am so glad Oscar’s doing well and Lando’s in a good car.
surprised the Alpine’s didn’t crash more and how the continuously seemed to fuck over Gasly when they literally bought him out of his AT contract and into their team but oh well. deffo looking at them next season too.

If you didn’t already know, Perth is one of the windiest cities in the world. often I feel irritated by it, like when it blows the sand in my face and knocks over umbrellas at the beach. but there are also lots of days when it is actually a saving grace. on a 35 degree day there is nothing better than the sea breeze to cool you down, and you can always open your windows in the evening to get some air flowing into a stuffy living room. I am learning to love the wind.
today I woke up feeling groggy and heavy. it wasn’t until I cycled to get a coffee, uphill into the wind, that I felt my brain clear up. for the rest of the day I felt so light and inspired, and I thought about the wind. firstly I thought about the noise the leaves make when they rustle in the breeze, deafening and calming. I thought about standing at the shore facing into the wind, closing your eyes and feeling as if you could lift off with its power.
more delightfully, I thought about how maybe I feel so inspired because this windy city is so full of life! maybe the breeze blows everyone’s ideas around and they pass between our ears and prickle all the little creative hairs in there. all that bubbly joyous aliveness just wooshing around the city! I just want to sit all day and watch the trees sway in the wind and feel the pretty thoughts sweep away the dust from my brain. I think maybe if I sit in the breezy park long enough that all the negative thoughts I've ever had will lose their grip on those little creative hairs and fly right out of my ear holes. they’ll woosh right out of there and all of a sudden I’ll feel like a small child again with a squeaky clean, fresh start brain. all of life will feel shiny and bright, like how white laundry looks hanging out in the sun; blinding and sparkling and clean.
sometimes I wish I could take my life and throw it in the wash with half a cup of baking soda; hang it to dry and watch the stains fade away. I want to bring my life in from the clothesline saying, wow! looks brand new! you’d never know i’d spilled that coffee on it the other day! I would also love to be able to rock up to a kiosk in a mall and say, hello sir, I would like your best deal on a new pair of MCL’s please. I ruined mine slipping on a wet floor and I didn't do the exercises and now when I bend down my knees click! woopsie daises!
I don't need to say that that’s not how life works, because you know that and I know that. we are talking about wishes here, silly little daydreams you have when you are nearing another birthday and reflecting on your silly little life. I am turning 27 in two weeks, and rather than reflect I'll just state a bunch of facts: I just finished a paint by number of 3 fat ladies in swim suits embracing each other. next month I will be living in a caravan on a citrus farm, slicing oranges for a kind family with an 8 month old puppy and a pet cockatoo. I cut my own hair and choose wine by how pretty the label is. last week I designed a website for my marketing class for a made up brewery inspired by my film photos from 2 years ago. and, mostly, I am pretty much happy.

Why do the prompts look different this time?
The change in the way we are doing is prompts was actually the reasoning behind why we extending the event by two days. Instead of the traditional dialogue prompt + trope, we are using letters to provide more flexibility with angst tropes. In other words, last time the admins struggled to find a balance between all the different forms of angst and catering it to everyone’s preferences. Doing it this way allows for participants to create something for any prompt and make it work for them. Write 9 days of sickfics, or 9 days of hardcore whump, or 9 days of emotional angst! Or mix it up and write a little for each. Whatever suits your preferences, make it work for you!
Why those letters?
As fun as it would be to do a 26 day long event for all letters in the English Alphabet (okay, it was considered), we had to narrow it down somehow. There are 11 main characters on 911 Lone Star, and their first names start with 8 different letters (+ the 1 free day). AKA why this a 9 day event, not 7, so we could use all characters. “C” for Carlos, “G” for Grace, “J” for Judd, etc;
The important thing to note is that just because a day’s letter is named after that character, you do not have to write a fic about that day’s character. Write all fics about Tarlos. Write some fics about Tarlos, some fics about Paul, and some fics about Tommy. This event is about whatever angst YOU want to write. The only rule is that your fic centers around a word that starts with that days letter.
Do we have to use the examples or can we pick something else?
Absolutely not! The examples are just to get the gears going and if you come up with another idea that starts with that letter, feel free to use that!
What about content creators?
We encourage all forms of content to be submitted for the event, not just writing! Though we know how difficult that is for events like this.
Last time we set aside a day for each character (with some doubled up) and asked content creators to show us an angsty moment for that character. This time with the prompts already vague, revolving around one letter, we welcome you to use that letter to choose which moment to show us. For example, day 1 you could use the word “car” and gif Judd and Grace’s car accident, or “cry” and draw one of the vulnerable tarlos moments.

Thots on event
I won’t spend much time on clothes, as this is a matter of taste. I think that Jeanylotte or what’s spelling set seems unfinished. It just looks flat :/ As for Bunny leader the fact that top and bottom do not match and that this... apron? tunic? doesn’t fit lower part of body is laughable. But, we got 2 (and if you are high on gold and AP-3) free sets, plus one bank outfit so that’s really nice. For this I will give it a strong 6/10

Ilustration: it’s much better done than those earlier. It seems different from last events, did they change the artist? Apart from Mathieu’s feet-palm issue, it’s decent. You can see their faces, pity their body look the same and AGAIN I WILL COMPLAIN that they whitewashed Lance a lot or blackfished him from the start of the game. You pick. 9/10.

Game and tokens: I manage to get all pieces yestarday, with using potion only once, so I think ratio is good. You do not have to find all tokens for the v first day. I guess that with bad connection this game may suck tho? I do not have bad experience with this snake game this year, so 6/10. Could have changed that tropical music from last summer event tho ;)

Familiars: I have met new one only once, didnt find it’s bait, and I won’t die if I won’t have it in my herd. It’s nice that it has this event theme without being overly easter-y, if you know what I mean? You can use it during the year. It’s cute. 8/10

Fun factor: nooow, I will be harsh. I feel no joy this time at all. There is no thrill of hunting as I wasn’t crazy for any set nor familiar. There is no stressing out like last year- and I understand that the concept of collecting tokens to exchange them for items didn’t work for some players... but boy, it did forced me to log in frequently. This year? Meh, I try to care to send my familiar to get me something but I can’t. I guess that with Pimpel’s grace set on map I would be more invested, I think this is the best set this year. I just... do not care for this event. Even MCL’s one is better, and I was fighting for items till the last (originaly last) day. 2/10

Summary: the last score is the most important one, because the reason we take part in events is to have fun, and fun was rather sparse this year. IMHO. So: it’s still 5/10 no matter what, you cannot change my mind, I suck at math.
