I modelled the mice and branches using ZBrush. They were then retopologised in Maya. The textures were created in Photoshop and Substance 3D Painter.
XGen was used to create the fur of the mice.
Welcome! I want to give an introduction about myself with this, I am a 3D artist tyring to make it professional. You may look around the internet and see gods and heroes of art. I am not one of those people. I wanted to start this as a sort of jounral, so we can all follow along the hard journey of trying to go professional. In each post you get to see the blood sweat and tears that happen in my mind and in the art. All we see is the finished product that takes hours and hours of time. but here just a journal recording my journey through the war trenches of art.
Archive 1: so I have been working on this guy forever now, on and off tyring to learn more techniques through classes, and youtube videos, trying to make sense of this whole 3D thing. Right now I have to reedit the shadows as they muddy up the whole figure. I am thinking of adjusting the layers in photoshop and playing with that for a while... lets see what happens. Honestly art is just fumbling through crap till you get it right. Pretty much everything else in life.
