So I headcanon that Masser and Secunda are still tangible celestial bodies that could be visited if Nirn ever got into space travel. I think that this could be true even with the current lore, that the moons are the corpse of Lorkhan and are only perceived as moons because that is what mortal minds can comprehend.
And the reason I think this is because of the Elder Scrolls. They are objects from creation, beyond time, both existing and not, and yet... can be picked up and carried around like a physical object.
If the Elder Scrolls can be a literal scroll while still being what they are, then the moons of Nirn can also be literal moons despite being more.
Although perhaps visiting them would have wonky magical effects similar to how you can't simply read an Elder Scroll.

Sheogorath: I wasn’t the moons' biggest fan. I had been known to call them “those big dumb space rocks” and advocate for us to, quote, “toss them out of our orbit unless they want to start paying rent”.
