Post 1 Edible Arrangements
Edible Arrangements is the business I have chosen to select to market about this semester at Fullerton College. My reason for choosing Edible Arrangements is because I am a lover of fruit, art, sweets, and overall learning more about the creative side of how these arrangements are made and designed. Edible arrangements is one of the first businesses to ever create the idea of carving fruit into realistic flowers and presenting them as a bouquet. A man by the name of Tariq Farid used his floral industry insight to develop a new business concept that is truly fresh, fruit bouquets! He opened the very first Edible Arrangements store in East Haven, Connecticut. Tariq had a great idea to arrange fruits instead of flowers and with his success of the 4p's being product, price, place and promotion there are now 1,000 locations nationwide. Tariq Farid goal was to make these arrangements for consumers to exchange money for these beautiful arrangements that could be both affordable and luxurious pricing up to $24.99 or $1,999 dollars. He was inspired by Americans growing consumption of fresh fruit, and the increasing amount of money Americans were spending on gifts so he was determined to consider the goods and services to meet the marketplace for his business called Edible Arrangements.
I am very excited to learn and know more about this business for the semester and to take my creative/artistic side and use it to my advantage and to one day create my own type of arrangements whether it be with sweets and treats or dried flowers bouquets.

What is a Marketing Mix?

It is a crucial concept in the world of marketing, and understanding it is essential for any business owner or marketer looking to create an effective marketing campaign.
The marketing mix is made up of four key components, which are often referred to as the "Four Ps" of Marketing: product, price, promotion, and place. Let's take a closer look at each of these components. 
Marketing Mix Components: 
1. Product: This refers to the actual product or service that a business is trying to sell. It includes things like the product's features, design, quality, packaging, and more. 
Businesses need to ensure that their product meets the needs and wants of their target market and is differentiated from competitors' products.

2. Price: This refers to the amount of money that a business charges for its product or service.

Factors like production costs, competition, and perceived value all play a role in determining the price.

3. Promotion: This refers to the various ways that a business promotes its product or service to potential customers. 
It includes things like advertising [online and offline], public relations, referral, and personal selling. 
The goal of promotion is to create awareness about the product and persuade customers to make a purchase.

4. Place: This refers to the distribution channels that a business uses to make its product available to customers. 
It includes things like physical stores, online marketplaces, other online marketing channels, and direct sales. 
Businesses need to ensure that their product is easily accessible to their target market and that they have an effective distribution strategy in place.

The marketing mix is not a one-size-fits-all solution, and businesses need to tailor their approach based on their specific product, target market, competition, trends, and industry. 
However, by considering each of the four Ps in their marketing strategy, businesses can create a comprehensive and effective marketing campaign that maximizes their chances of success.
In order to maximize the results, this also helps in understanding competitors' strategy.
