The Special Air Service (SAS) specializes in a number of duties within the British Army, including counter-terrorism, hostage rescue. direct action, and cover reconnaissance. Much of the information about the SAS is highly classified, and the unit is not commented on by either the British government or the Ministry of Defence.

The Phantom Galaxy Across the Spectrum <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/nasawebbtelescope/">by NASA's James Webb Space Telescope</a> Via Flickr: M74 shines at its brightest in this combined optical/mid-infrared image, featuring data from both the Hubble Space Telescope and the James Webb Space Telescope. With Hubble’s venerable Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) and Webb’s powerful Mid-InfraRed Instrument (MIRI) capturing a range of wavelengths, this new image has remarkable depth.

The red colors mark dust threaded through the arms of the galaxy, lighter oranges being areas of hotter dust. The young stars throughout the arms and the nuclear core are picked out in blue. Heavier, older stars towards the galaxy’s centre are shown in cyan and green, projecting a spooky glow from the core of the Phantom Galaxy. Bubbles of star formation are also visible in pink across the arms. Such a variety of galactic features is rare to see in a single image. Scientists combine data from telescopes operating across the electromagnetic spectrum to truly understand astronomical objects. In this way, data from Hubble and Webb compliment each other to provide a comprehensive view of the spectacular M74 galaxy.

A Farm For Two

I wrote a little Vigil/Mute fic that was more or less random, but I still wanted to post it somewhere.

"What do you think? Should I upgrade the coop or the barn?" Chul Kyung's eyes never left the TV screen as he guided his little pixelated farmer up the path and towards the carpenter's house. "Mark?" Chul Kyung glanced down at Mark whose head rested peacefully in Chul Kyung's lap. He was napping, tired from a long night in the workshop—again. He sighed and bounced the knee Mark was using as a pillow to rouse him.

"Mark, I asked you a question. Answer me." Chul Kyung continued bouncing his knee until Mark groaned, forcing his eyes open. The flicker of Mark's amber-colored eyes still gave Chul Kyung butterflies in his stomach, even after a few months of them being together. He was still deeply in love with this Englishman.

"What, what?" Mark yawned, covering his mouth with the back of his thin hand, his eyes half-lidded, and watched as Vigil's little avatar stood at the counter. "What do you want, Chul Kyung?" He rubbed his eyes, a faint smile on his lips. The way he said Chul Kyung's name had changed since they started dating. Mark said it with confidence, his tongue using the correct accents on Chul Kyung's name that came as pay off from the Korean language lessons.

“I asked you: should I upgrade the coop or the barn?”

Mark feinted indecision, tapping his handsome chin with his calloused finger as if the options were being heavily weighed. He hummed and said, “Coop. I want the rabbits.”

With the decision made, Chul Kyung went ahead with it. He continued about with his in-game day, fishing at the beach, watering his crops, and mining. Now awake, and unable to fall back asleep, Mark watched his boyfriend play this seemingly relaxing game. "Can't believe Grace got you hooked on this game." The cute, pixel art game was Stardew Valley. Grace had bought it for Chul Kyung for his birthday recently, and this downtime they had together seemed like a good time to start.

"It's fun. Once you get into it, you can't stop." Vigil admitted, having been on this game for a whole five hours. It was relaxing. It was a fresh breath of air from the kind of life Chul Kyung, and Mark lived, the jobs they had to do. Being able to tend to the pixelated sheep and mine in caves felt easy.

"Yeah," Mark said aimlessly, engrossed in the gameplay. "You gonna pick up that flower or what?" They sat in silence, Mark continuing to give his input on decisions and commentary on the gameplay.

“You can romance people? Oh my god.” Mark had since switched his position, now leaning up against Chul Kyung’s chest and in between his legs, while Chul Kyung used the top of Mark’s head as a chin rest. The Brit's long legs extended under the coffee table since Chul Kyung preferred sitting on the floor.

“Yeah, it's fun.” Chul Kyung rose a brow and grinned. “You're not jealous of pixelated people, are you?” Mark reached up and pinched Vigil's cheek. “Ouch, hey!”

“That's what you get.” A chuckle made Chul Kyung smile and sigh happily.

He set his controller down and fully wrapped his arms around Mark's shoulders and rested his chin on Mark's head again. The moment of reprieve lasted a while, and both men were content. Mark reached up to cup Chul Kyung's cheek lovingly, closing those amber eyes again. "They have a multiplayer if you want to play with me." Chul Kyung said.

Mark opened his eyes and smiled. “But you’re so far along. I don’t want to make you restart.” Chul Kyung leaned in and kissed the side of Mark’s head, causing the Englishman to chuckle.

“I wouldn’t mind restarting. It’s fun, come on. I know you have a Switch.” Chul Kyung began his assault with kisses, causing Mark to laugh a bit and squirm. “Chul, stop—” The two laughed softly amongst themselves, enjoying this time they had together.

“Okay, okay! I’ll play with you. Promise.” Mark held Chul Kyung’s arms around him, not wanting to go and get his Switch from his room.

After some time, Mark managed to get up and retrieve his Switch, sitting down with Chul on the common room couch to play Stardew Valley.
