some artists complain about having a very skewed like-reblog ratio for their art, and yeah it definitely sucks, but sometimes i also find it VERY funny to see what skews the ratio the hardest. i for one get a strange kick out of seeing my rarepair crackship art have a 4:1, 5:1, or even 6:1 ratio, not because i don't want more reblogs, but because i'm kind of obsessed with the implications. you're too bashful and embarrassed to put it on your blog, but i know. i see the red hearts in my activity. i know your unspoken cringe that you keep so well-hidden under your blog's tranquil surface...

a prompt fill for @nirnwrote sent to me by @alxxiis (who also requested the pairing because I’ve been talking about it recently over in the discord, LOL!)
Pairing: Martin x Lucien
Rating: M
Content Warnings: non-explicit foreplay, bdsm elements, mild blood kink
(I also had “Hopelessly Devoted to You” stuck in my head while writing this and I feel like that is an important detail.)
As a rule, Lucien never lets anyone else be in control of a situation. And yet — and yet, when Martin asked if he could try this, Lucien agreed to it with little hesitation. He thought it would be amusing, to watch this soft-hearted farm-boy attempt to dominate him.
Oh, what a fool he’d been.
His heart is pounding as Martin finishes tightening the knots around his wrists, leans back to inspect his handiwork. Lucien feels sweat trickle down his own neck. It’s been ages since he’s felt so out-of-sorts. “You always were a quick study,” Lucien says, his voice already rough. “I should have known…”
When Martin leans in, his grin looks positively predatory. “What’s the matter, Lucien? Does this frighten you?”
A damned fool.
“I’m hopelessly terrified of you,” Lucien says, attempting to keep his tone even, regain some of the ground he’s lost. But when Martin cups his cheek and leans in to kiss him softly, something inside him breaks.
This, he cannot take.
He strains against his bonds, groaning as he gleans a taste of Martin’s sweet, plump lips. The wine they drank earlier still lingers on them. Martin chuckles darkly, then, and the wolf that’s been masquerading as a farmer’s son finally bares his teeth.
He nips Lucien’s lower lip hard enough to draw blood, and that taste sends a heady rush right through him. He’s absolutely at Martin’s mercy, now, but… patience, at least, is one virtue he does practice often.
