LADY GAGA LOOKS CHIC IN BALMAIN F/W24
She's alive! Lady Gaga enjoyed a low-key dinner date with her man at Nobu in Malibu last night, where she was later seen exiting through the kitchen.
She cut a glamorous display in an oversized black leather trench coat, adorned with golden snail seashell buttons, an off-the-runway piece from Balmain's Fall/Winter 2024 collection – which was a love letter to creative director Olivier Rousteing's hometown in Bordeaux.
Balmain's leather designer, Stanislas Vandenberge, was kind enough to whisper to me that Gaga's coat is a lovechild from two coats which were displayed on the menswear and womenswear runways.
The oversized golden snail seashell earrings with cystals also hail from the collection.
"One thing I'll always associate with Bordeaux's grapes, cuisine and gardens is the beautiful escargot. My team and I have found several unexpected ways to include the snail shell's mesmerizing spirals inside this collection, including coiled stitching, a golden metal breast plate and a wide array of coquille-inspired buttons, jewels and ornaments." says Rousteing.
I love Gaga's devotion to owning endless shades in her favorite style - cat-eye.
Here, she's donning the Gentle Monster Vis Viva 01 black acetate sunglasses with silver metal details ($340.00), which part oft their 2023 collection.

here’s what happened: some high level executives at marc jacobs inc are sitting there going through different headshots from models, none of them are exactly what they’re looking for for these pieces, the shoot has to be done TODAY but something just isn’t clicking… one of them decides to go clear his head and is in the men’s restroom on the phone with the boss. he hears someone say “pissin hard or hardly pissin… heh” and turns around to find gerard-lit cigarette, sunglasses, camo jacket, ripped jeans and all. he lifts one shaky finger up to his bluetooth headset and says “get me hair and makeup immediately…. i found just the gal”

I work for a fandom based specialty store that is priced "higher" than other stores (for example clothing is usually between $28 and $65 depending on what it is). Our prices are usually the thing complained about most by customers which is something you need to complain to corporate about, but I digress. Some items we agree are overpriced while others we think are priced fairly considering what the items are and the details on it. Most of the stuff we have is exclusive to the company brand and can't be found on other sites. More often than not, the complaining makes us laugh.
Examples being:
A guy picking up an embroidered crewneck (that he was gushing about) and but then started complaining it costs $55, however the guy was wearing brand new Nike shoes, Nike sweatpants, and a Nike hoodie. Guy was also holding two boxes from the nearby shoe store that just had a shoe drop.
A lady complaining a Loungefly backpack is $90 but has The Tote Bag by Marc Jacobs over her shoulder. (Though seriously the amount of people with the Marc Jacobs bag is INSANE)
A guy complaining a Little Mermaid loungefly being $80 (he was going to get it for his wife who is crazy about The Little Mermaid) and left in a huff. However said guy was wearing $400 Ray Ban sunglasses (my boss noticed them and looked them up after the guy left).
You get the idea. Basically the concept of how we mentally decide if something is worth the price or not vs something else is interesting and funny to me. Like a $75 backpack that will be a gift for your WIFE is too much, but you can spend $400 on one pair of Ray Ban sunglasses???
(And this isn't a post complaining about people who are paycheck to paycheck making budget decisions. This is about people who have spent way more on an item that's more basic in design and definitely priced by brand, but a more uniquely designed item that's "costly" yet less than the other item is still too much for them)

Coquette Spring
Romanticizing my Spring 🌸
Spring has been so peaceful so far. I spend my mornings reading, doing yoga, journaling in bed and eating a light breakfast whilst looking out my cottage window at the birds and wildlife that come into my garden ♡
Only wearing the sweetest of colors for my cotton candy aura, baby pinks and blue’s that radiate Spring time. Pink gingham, denim shorts, floral dresses, milkmaid dresses and jelly sandals with frilly socks to give into my inner child ♡
Wearing my baby pink, heart shaped sunglasses now the sun is making it’s way here ♡
Coating myself in sugary, vanilla, floral body sprays and perfumes for Spring. Marc Jacob’s Daisy & Miss Dior ♡
Watching cartoons or reading fairytales in the garden, and imagining what life would be like if I was whisked away into the fairy stories I read about ♡
Walking up to the local shop and listen to “Lana del rey” to stock up on lollipops and bubblegum, the perfect sweets for this time of year ♡
Picking out a cute outfit to go to the market. The markets are on every weekend and I love when the sun is shining and I can find a quiet spot under a tree at the market, to read or write in my diary ♡
Baking heart shaped cookies, or cakes with sugary-sweet icing for my family to enjoy, whilst listening to vintage music in the kitchen, and wearing a sweet little apron. All the pastel baking utensils too! Ahhhh! ♡
Collecting heart shaped plates, mugs and cups, pretty picture frames and vintage things to adorn my country kitchen with ♡
Hanging out my nightgowns and pretty Spring dresses in the garden to dry, makes my country cottage garden even more beautiful ♡
Eating strawberries and cream lollipops whilst flicking through my vintage magazines on my bed, and swooning over all the handsome actors in them ♡
Long Spring evening walks, then coming home in the garden and making flower crowns and daisy chains ♡
Trips to the garden centre on sunny days, wearing a cute outfit and taking my tote bag, drinking lemonade in the cute cafe and having girly, gossip chats with my mum. Looking at all the cottage core accessories in the gift shop and going to the indoor market afterwards to buy fresh fruit and Vegetables ♡
Light Spring meals of fruits and vegetables that I’ve picked out at the garden centre that day ♡
Coming home in the evening to watch “Bridgerton” and play board games with my family ♡
Eating ice lolly’s on particularly sunny days and writing in my journal at my vanity ♡
Wearing coconut body lotion and rose scented hand cream to stay the sweetest girl in town ♡
Buying fresh bunches of flowers to put in my cottage and in my bedroom, so everywhere smells sweet and delightful ♡
Splashing in puddles on really rainy days, dancing in the rain with my pink raincoat and catching raindrops on my tongue ♡
Running about the garden in my pink milkmaid dress, going to the local farm to see the alpacas and chickens ♡
Feeling like a Spring woodland fairy, trying to spot wild deer and bunny’s in my local wood ♡
Having Picnics and Tea Party’s with extra special treats. Sugary biscuits and fruity tea’s to feel like Marie Antoinette ♡
Pretty baby pink or yellow manicure. Light colored nails for this time of year ♡
Painting watercolors and doing Spring crafts as the nights draw out and the days get longer ♡
Fuzzy socks, warm cups of tea and Disney movies in the evenings. Bambi, Cinderella and Sleeping beauty ♡
Collecting Sylvanian families to put in my little doll house in my bedroom. I’m growing my collection hehe ♡

everything from blakes bag, to her sunglasses, and other items are really expensive/designer because when u give a 15 year old thousands (lowkey a million) dollars from prize / sponsorship money u know shes going to go a little crazy! but she takes care of her things and shes had them for awhile so she deserves it <3
xanax pill box: to hold all her meds/birth control when shes out and about! she has a panic disorder and so she's on xanax for that, and then she's on anti-depressants (?), and she has her birth control.
journal: therapist recommended
yellow smily face ball: stress ball for anxiety
jewelry because she's a little disorganized and definitely has random hoops floating around her bag + her fav bracelet
