I finally realized that my werewolf kintype is indeed a trauma response, which is why it's so different from my coyote form. That's why it's so stressful when it comes out- it protects me when I've encountered one of my triggers.

Because I often feel powerless and afraid, my brain has created this thing that makes me feel powerful and feeds on my anger to make sure that I don't get hurt again. When the adrenaline rushes through my veins and my chest feels tight with anger; when I can feel fangs and claws and fur, it's only a way to protect myself.

Brains are so weird.

make/buy ears/wings/tails!

surround yourself with lots of purple items!! this can include your wardrobe as well

making/buying a cloak or wearing a blanket over your shoulders and holding onto the corners can make you feel like you have wings again!!

get some fairy lights/leds that have an option to glow purple and put them in your room!! turning them on when its dark in your room might remind you of amakumo peak!!

hang out in dark areas in general!! (make sure to stay safe!!)

get some bat plushies/stickers/keychains/etc!!

get some items to remind you of electro/electricity in general!! plasma balls could be a good one!!

and finally for @pr1-appreciation-month-2023 , my one, my only, my ride-or-die, and the person who introduced me to PR1 in the first place, Jeremy Dooley. he’s been one of my favorite let’s players, content creators, and just people in general since 2017, and every time I watch him play I just have so much fun and my appreciation for him grows. I love his passion, his humor, his love for his cats wife and friends, and the sheer number of projects he’s taken on is a mood and an inspiration. his community is also so genuinely good and funny, and I love hanging out in his chat no matter what he’s doing! I hope I can meet him and Kat in person someday to tell them in person how much I appreciate them, but until then I’ll continue supporting everything he does (and posting his worst quotes on here for everyone else to experience with me).

Random alterhuman related thing but even though I don't technically have any hearthomes, I feel a bit drawn to those images of very rural areas that also feel liminal? Like those images of the Midwest Gothic aesthetic.

And here's the funny thing: It actually feels more connected to my thunder manifestation kintype than my thylacine hearttype...

Like... if feels a bit like I was supposed to be amongst the clouds of a supercell, soaring above the grasslands and old woods.

Like... it's a bit weird because my alterhumanity is most likely psychological as opposed to spiritual (Reason why I think this is because I have actually felt nonhuman for a very long time)... but I have something that could be considered a hearthome?
