sugirl desserts, mid valley megamall.
we discovered this dessert place while walking around the mall and decided to give it a try because i wanted croffle (my new addiction!). we ordered the chocolate sea salt croffle and their signature drink - mango sago with rose lychee jelly.
the food and drink was served quickly, food presentation was great but it was quite pricey for such a small portion though. the croffle has some crispiness and fluffiness but it feels overly sweet to my personal taste, since there's lot of chocolate syrup, i didn't taste any sea salt too.
the mango sago drink is also quite sweet, there are some fruit cuts inside the drink, so you have to use both a straw and a spoon. i felt the drink was quite heavy instead of refreshing, since it is quite sweet and the texture is more like a smoothie.
would definitely prefer other croffles that i have tried elsewhere, and for this price, it's definitely not worth the money. they also did not provide free water like most cafe do, to wash down all the sweetness from their food and drinks.

Mango Sago Dessert
Creamy rich mango dessert with tapioca pearls and coconut milk. This dessert will blow your mind and is SUPER easy to make with very SIMPLE steps.
Now mango is in season and my husband has stocked his favorite Pakistani Chaunsa Mangoes. Since then different mango dessert ideas has been running in my head. I love tropical desserts with tapioca pearls, agar, soft fruits, tender coconut etc.

The restaurant had a 50% off signature specialties with every spending of S$30 so we also had the Stewed Ee-Fu Noodle (干烧伊面) while my brother’s table had the Wok-Fried Traditional Hometown Vermicelli (家乡炒面线). I love my ee-fu noodles as it had soaked up the flavourful gravy even though it doesn’t comes with much ingredients other than mushrooms and beansprouts.
Sis recommended this Crispy Eggplant with Pork Floss (肉松炸茄子) which was a delight eat. If you are the type that do not like the mushy texture of the aubergine when cooked, you will enjoy this dish. In fact, you might never know that you are eating brinjal as this one is fried crispy and sprinkled liberally with savoury pork floss.
To end the luncheon, we had Double-Boiled Peach Resin with American Ginseng (泡参银耳炖桃胶) and Mango Puree with Sago and Pomelo (杨枝甘露). My table only took the chilled mango puree with sago pearls and pomelo pulps which is refreshing and not too sweet.
PS - The Canton Paradise at Junction 8 had closed this branch.
