Larry hasn't had the greatest day, by any account.
First, he goes and gets professionally trounced by a child.
Secondly, the Treasure Eatery is closing up early, denying him his favourite meal.
And finally, of all the people that had to turn up at his apartment, it had to be her.
In truth, this day could absolutely not get any worse. Or could it?
_______
Getting back into the Tumblr thing- and why not show off some of the stuff I'm posting elsewhere? Enjoy this smutty little thing between everybody's favourite couple, Larry and Geeta of Pokémon SV fame. Do have a quick breeze over the tags, but if raunchy stuff isn't your thing, you can ctrl+f to skip it in the second chapter.
Let me know what you think of it! Still newish to the writing game and all, but it's always a lot of fun.

I have been very interested in glitch pokemon recently so have some doodles (also excited rambles below the cut)
The first guy is named Trainer. In the game, it appears as a magnemite that can only learn tackle and three glitch moves. It doesn't have the human version I drew in the games, but I got overexcited and drew one because:
Trainer is a hybrid glitch pokemon (it's part magnemite, obviously)
2. Doing the ditto glitch causes a junior trainer to appear
3. Its name is literally trainer
Anyway, so i came up with law for this one! An unnamed trainer got sick of people mocking and calling him and his partner, magnemite, weak, just because they stood at the edge of a route and lost battles to anyone who walked past. So when he heard about a mysterious "cursed" pokemon (Missingno) that lived off the shore of cinnabar island, he decided to gain everyones' respect by catching it.
But something went wrong. The pokemon fought back, and through some unnatural power, fused the trainer and his beloved magnemite together. Now he is forced to live alone in the forest, knowing that if anyone saw him something terrible would happen to him. His only escape is his ability to shift into a magnemite, letting him continue to challenge trainers... even if it isn't in the same way
Anyway, the next one is pkmnRpkmn (there's special characters that I can't include) It's a Pokemaniac type pokemon, and literally looks like a purple bug in the game. It has base stats of 601, making it better than mew (I think, idk exactly how stats work) there isn't much to say about this guy, except like most glitch pokemon, it is 23'0". I think that it should be much smaller, so let's pretend its 3'9"
I don't really have much lore for this one, unfortunately. The fact that it's a pokemaniac type is really cool though!
The final one is h POKé and it's a gengar hybrid pokemon. its cry changes every time you view its stats, and can sometimes cause the game to freeze (it's like the og perish song lol) Technically I should have drawn it as a glitchy purple square, but that's boring, so I drew it as "glitchgar" (i'm calling it this from now on) instead.
This little guy just wants friends. Sure, it may be a glitch pokemon, but that doesn't mean that its a mean pokemon. Everyone keeps running away when it tries to hug them or befriend them, but its willing to keep trying for as long as it takes.
Thank you for reading all of this I will now go draw some more and get overexcited about random stuff

Sitting here thinking about how the ring Giovanni is seen wearing sometimes looks similar in shade to the Earth Badge and how important Viridian Gym was to him as a trainer. A small concession he allowed himself to have.

💕👀🌙⚡️📸 for Piers ?¿ ^^
Bold of you to ask about someone I don't even have listed... you're taking advantage of the fact you know all the silly guys rotating in my head. How dare you. (/j /lh)
💕 - What’s your f/o’s favorite love language to give/receive? what’s yours?
For Piers, I think the love language he gives the most is gift giving. Especially with jewelry and clothing - anything that I can wear on a daily basis and think about him with. In terms of receiving, he'd love quality time. Since I'm on the Isle of Armor a lot and we can't see each other face-to-face super often, anytime we can spend time with each other is very precious. As for me, my favorite one to give him is physical touch! When we're together, I'll basically never stop holding his hand or hanging off his arm. I also like giving quick, casual kisses on his hands or his cheek. To receive, ours sync up, as mine is also quality time. I can definitely see myself having a rough night, and no matter what time it is, finding a taxi (or just taking my own Talonflame) from the Isle of Armor to Spikemuth just to see him. His company would be a much-needed source of comfort on rough nights.
👀 - What’s your favorite physical feature on your f/o?
Definitely his hair. It makes him stand out, and I think watching all the different ways he could style it is facinating. It would be super thick, so it would be a little hard to run my hands through (I love playing with people's hair, oops) - but it would not stop me from trying.
🌙 - What is your f/o doing late at night when they can’t sleep?
Writing music. I think Piers has a lot of late-night writing sessions - whether it's playing music until the sun rises or working on lyrics, he could be so focused on the task that he doesn't even realize how much time has passed until the sun is rising again. He definitely doesn't sleep as much as he should because of it.
⚡️ - What is your f/o passionate about?
Other than music, I think Piers is passionate about fashion! He could throw a cohesive outfit together in seconds, and I imagine most of his own wardrobe is hand-made. He probably made a lot of Marnie's clothing when she was younger, too. He'd design jackets, sew on patches to bags and other clothes, fasten studs... he makes a lot of things by hand. None of it is haphazardly placed, either - everything he makes is very intentional.
📸 - Post the most recent photo of your f/o that you saved!

Laughing. I can't believe this is the last screenshot I took of him back in February. Honestly kind of iconic.

Perhaps it is time that I share of my favorite Ultra Space World I have visited so far: Ultra Hive. As is to be expected, it is the most numerous homeworld of Naganadel but it is also filled with innumerable cultural traditions coexisting with one another.
I have only been there once as a mission alongside Seira. She was there to observe Naganadel in their natural habitat instead of the artificial Rookery and I was there to take note of the cultural practices of the “hive-clans”, as they are called that are scattered about the planet. These clans are descended from the people who first travelled through Ultra Wormholes successfully and those who fled from the Blinding One’s first rampage where its very being was shattered. They have a long and storied history, one that is a far cry from that of Ultra Megalopolis.
Instead of fearing Ultra Beasts and seeing them as threats to all worlds, they walk among them. Most of their settlements are even in close proximity, and sometimes inside, large Naganadel nests that have been maintained over several generations. One of the main things that sets this place apart is the presence of a leadership figure that is a Naganadel themselves that is somehow present in all the currently observed clans, known as a “hive-mother”, in addition to leaders that are of my kin that is chosen by the UB matriarch. Though an unconventional hierarchy, it is indeed quite fascinating.
As for what truly captivated me about this world was their rich oral storytelling tradition and emphasis on the arts in addition to the advanced technology brought over from Ultra Megalopolis. Their creation myth states that the planet on which they live on is actually the long since dormant heart of the legendary progenitor of the Naganadel species and that the twin suns it orbits are in fact its eyes, watching over its inhabitants from beyond the heavens.
Another tradition is whenever someone new is born, whether it be a child or hatchling, their handprint goes on a stone wall mural where others who have come before them have done the same; the mural is continuously updated whenever eventful milestones in an individual’s life have happened. Other murals represent moments in the clan’s history or folk stories. They are filled with intricate patterns that all hold meaning and it is quite the sight to see.
For so many reasons, I wish to return to this place. Even though it is a culture I should be familiar with since it is that of my own species, it couldn’t be farther than what I am used to. Perhaps there are even human cultures that are parallels to these hive-clans to an extent, but for now I am unsure.

Do you ever have two characters who you write completely different from the source material because its self indulgent and the only way to make the story work is to go canon divergent?
Yah that’s how I’m gonna write Zacian and Zamazenta

hi lore hi hi hi you said hisui headcanon lore???? 👀👀👀 hisui hc lore please 👀 ty
HIIIII I was gonna draw some stuff for this but. Alas it is 6 am and god has seen fit to punish me for my hubris (cramps) so I’m just gonna distract myself writing this while I wait for the ibuprofen to kick in
So this is like. Completely out there bc it’s just me cherry-picking the series’ worldbuilding that I enjoy (and also completely changing it) for the sake of self indulgence <3
The Celestica people lived in ancient Hisui and were part of a trade network with the other regions. 3000 years ago, there was a war between Galar and Kalos that resulted in the darkest day and the ultimate weapon, and the news spread all over. A few centuries later, a traveller from Hisui came across the decimated weapon and its story. Idk who this character’s gonna be, probably a new OC bc I can't think of a canon character to throw this backstory onto
A bit of hc lore regarding how the ultimate weapon works: it's powered by infinity energy, the life force of pokemon, which is canon. I elaborate on that by having all infinity energy sourced from Arceus. Every pokemon is tied to it through the infinity energy necessary to live and exist (oh my god I just thought of the implications of this for manmade pokemon holy shit that's so cool I gotta think about this more), but some have more power than others. Legendaries (and maybe some mythicals?? I can't remember them all rn), which have power over nature/reality, have some of Arceus' own creation power tied into their infinity energy. All those mons are some of Arceus' thousand arms. This power can be harnessed by the ultimate weapon, which is how Lysandre intends to make the player immortal by powering it with Xerneas (so if someone powered an ultimate weapon with Kyogre, it could manipulate the oceans; if someone powered it with necrozma, it could manipulate light; etc etc)
So anyways -- the Hisuian came back and began building a new weapon, this time with the intent to create an entirely new world, just like Cyrus and Volo. Instead of a singular body like in Kalos, the three "petals" were placed around the region, equidistant from the temple of Sinnoh in the center. Each third was powered by one of the creation trio's orbs.
But tracking down those orbs was tough work -- the weapon-builder, who I'm just gonna call ZA for ease, reached out to historians and merchants to try and locate them (no one knew what they were up to at this point and what the orbs were intended for). Once all 3 had been found, the finders were told to bring them to a certain location at a specific time. At this point, ZA was at the temple of Sinnoh in the center of a region-wide weapon, and they fired.
Each third of the weapon created a crater, the three lakes. I made this shitty little representation like 3 weeks ago DHFJDKFK it's based off my vague memories of the nationwide transmutation circle from watching fma like 6 years ago
Tumblr media
The weapon tore open a massive rift that kinda threw everything to shit, like having a spacetime distortion covering all of Hisui. This is the threat that the ancient hero mentioned in-game solved (I like the theory that the hero is Alder <3 so he was dragged in by the distortion like Ingo was, just. A couple thousand years earlier)
As for the people who delivered the orbs and were caught up in the blast -- idk who the lustrous globe holder was tbh, maybe I'll make them another oc if I don't find a character to chuck that lore onto. The one who had the griseous core was Volo; Cogita had the adamant crystal. Like AZ, they gained immortality from proximity to the weapon, but also inherited other elements of their respective pokemon's infinity energy. Cogita can see the past and future; Volo can access the distortion world. The theoretical third character could warp space or teleport.
The weapon firing and ensuing chaos killed off a lot of the Celestica people, and the remaining few had no stability in Hisui and so left for other regions. A few centuries before pla, the diamond and pearl clans' ancestors arrived, taking up the title of Celestica and upkeep of the temple of Sinnoh. I'd like to think that Cogita had passed on some of the ancient stories to them, which is how they know about the rift and hero from the past, as well as Dialga and Palkia (even though things got. A little misconstrued there)

I like to think that, when Archie and Maxie were trainers like three decades ago, showmanship was a huge part of pokemon battling? Like, it was still important to fight skillfully and see who was the better trainer--that’s the answer anyone would give you if you asked why trainers battled--but a significant number of people also REALLY cared about the aesthetic side of battling too.
You were kind of expected to put on an over-the-top act of some kind, and legit people would get really into it. People were coming up with their own unique trainer personas, putting together their own flashy, homemade costumes, and practicing cool poses and one-liners. Half the fun of battling was acting over-the-top and looking awesome, and if you think the pokemon weren’t in on it too, you’d be wrong. Superheroes like the Pokemon Rangers were all the rage and practically every other kid was either a superhero or superhero-adjacent, which of course prompted a lot of the adults, edgy teenagers, and edgier preteens to come up with supervillain personas.
You had this whole pro-wrestling adjacent scene where trainers would just outright put on a staged performance and everyone would go along with it and pretend to think it was legit. Certain trainers could become fan favorites because they were really good at losing in the most dramatic way possible. Even rivalries were more about whether or not you could put on a good show with the other person, and you’d get “rivals” who would end up competing to see who could make the other look coolest.
Sure, you definitely had the more reserved or shy people who didn’t vibe with that, but the coolness factor was still a part of what it meant to battle respectfully? Even in the (smaller, more niche) competitive scene where you were expected to take battling very very seriously, you’d have pros who would take liberties to show off sometimes, or to set their opponent up so they could go out with style.
Archie and Maxie were 100000% into the superhero thing, they LOVED this type of battling. They absolutely made their own outfits and set up little skits with each other and flipped a coin to see who got to be evil this time. As far as they’re concerned, it’s barely even pokemon battling if you CAN’T dress in cool outfits and deliver dramatic monologues.
I think the showmanship thing started slowly dying off shortly after Archie and Maxie returned from their pokemon journeys and left the battling scene. There was a recession like 25 years back (yes, Hoenn had a recession, I’m not making that up, that’s just canon), and I think that cut into a lot of people’s free time, creative energy, and disposable income. It also caused a bit of a shift in the culture, prompting people to be somewhat more skeptical and jaded.
By the time Red and Blue show up on the proverbial cultural map, I think pokemon battling had become extremely hard for some kids to actually participate in? A lot of them just couldn’t get their foot in the door, and a lot of them would end up joining gangs because it was their only real way to participate. The invention of the pokedex ended up creating a ton of opportunities for kids who might’ve otherwise never had a way to get started on their journeys, and I think Red and Blue’s success as champions ended up sparking a bit of a renaissance, both as an inspiration to kids who might’ve otherwise never tried to go on their own journeys, and as proof of the pokedex program’s effectiveness.
Red and Blue happened to be excellent competitive pokemon battlers, so I think both the competition and battling parts of pokemon got...somewhat overemphasized with the revitalization of training culture. Pokemon training became more of a sport than anything else, and I think the reason pokemon contests hadn’t been invented sooner was because the culture around pokemon battling actually used to be more permissive towards people who wanted to show off their pokemon or do skits with them. Interestingly, even though contests do fill that niche, they don’t really get away from the “competition” aspect that strongly defines high-level pokemon battling.
I think Archie and Maxie made their leader personas with the battling culture of 30 years ago in mind? They kinda missed the boat on becoming the fun, wacky supervillain adults they battled against as kids, and I can see them making Teams Aqua and Magma so they could help the kids they saw fall through the cracks, giving them an opportunity to connect with pokemon, feel like they’re part of a community, and maybe change the world for the better in the process?
