Besame remains my one true love, the iconique colors and impeccable history + the rich moisturizing formula and vanilla scent make their lipstick le ne plus ultra in my book. I own nearly all of their classic collection and most of the limited edition ones released in the past three years. also they are less known for this but! their eyeshadows are to die for! that Disney villains eyeshadow book WILL be mine.

KVD Beauty (formerly Kat von D)….. a graveyard. a corner of utter desolation in my heart. what used to be an edgy, genuinely provocative brand with a distinct and authentic personality has been bought out and flattened and sanded down for mass market appeal…… gone are the weird lipstick colors, gone are the goth/religious/literary shade names, gone is any sense of artistry beyond what is carefully curated for maximum profit. can you imagine this subsidiary of a subsidiary of a conglomerate coming up with something like the Fetish palette?? Saint & Sinner???? I think not. the girlbossification of the KVD brand haunts me like a phantom torment with every (increasingly rare) trip to Sephora.

ever since KVD went downhill, I have been struggling to find the perfect brush tip liquid eyeliner. NARS and Rare Beauty have been sufficient, but I want perfect. please send recommendations.

as for lip stains, I do not trust them. will they come off when I want them to, or will they stain stain? suspicious.

a client of mine last year put me on to Penhaligon’s of London and I am hooked! their sampler sets are terribly reasonable in price, but whichever one you get, make sure it includes Halfeti, which which I am obsessed. it’s equal parts rose and spice, equal parts alluring and powerful.

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab recently moved their headquarters from Los Angeles to Philadelphia, and I am in mourning until further notice. please respect my need for local perfume sampling/social events in this difficult time.

speaking of local scent, I would be remiss not to mention my new favorite candles! Apothika Candle Co. and Cauldron Affairs make the most exciting scents, hand-poured of course, in small batches that are shockingly inexpensive. absolutely everyone’s told them they must raise their prices, but as they haven’t, I’ll be buying Christmas gifts for everyone. Meanwhile Lunam Love makes the most beautiful spell candles & magical body oils you ever saw. I have an LL wayfinder candle that I’m saving for the solstice-- will report back on efficacy.

I do not use tiktok, as it is just the worst, so my most recent influences have been Andre Leon Talley and Diana Vreeland via their memoirs The Chiffon Trenches and DV respectively. imo these are essential reading for any understanding of true style. start with Mr. Talley’s by way of introduction, and then move on to Mrs. Vreeland.

Wir schreiben das Jahr 2024 und sind im Monat Janurar.

Das letzte Jahr also 2023 war für mich ein sehr durchwachsenes Jahr, mit vielen Höhen aber genauso vielen Tiefs.

Ich fang einfach mal von vorne an.

Ich traf meine Freundin damals in einem Livestream von Lovoo. Ich wusste nicht wie mir geschah, aber ich wusste, Sie ist es. Niemand anders. Nur SIE! Wir haben uns dann endlich getroffen, haben uns gedatet und dann hatte ich komplett verloren im positiven Sinne natürlich, denn ich konnte Sie meine Freundin nennen *__* . Dann ein paar Monate später passierten dann leider unter bescheidenen Bedingungen ein paar, nennen wir es mal Missgeschicke, die ich Ihr aus purer Liebe zu Ihr verziehen habe. Die zwei anderen Unglücke die danach folgten habe ich Ihr auch verziehen, weil ich nicht gewillt war meine Beziehung mit Ihr aufzugeben weil Sie sich gebückt hat um sich Steine genauer anzusehen. Ich habe gekämpft bis zum letzten tropfen Blut den ich habe und was ist passiert? Genau, es hat sich gelohnt!

Der letztere Stein hat Sie grausamer weise dazu getrieben, aus purer Verzweiflung und Verletzung sich versucht das Leben zu nehmen. Ich habe mit Ihr geschrieben und gemerkt, das etwas nicht stimmt, habe nachgefragt und weiter gefragt bis Sie mir die Wahrheit gesagt hat, dass Sie eine Überdosis von sehr starkem Schlafmittel genommen hat. Ich habe alles stehen und liegen lassen und bin mit Sonderrechten zu Ihr gefahren, zu meiner Frau!

Im Krankenhaus fingen die Tabletten an zu wirken und ich hätte es mir nie im meinem ganzen Leben verzeihen können, wenn Ihr was passiert wäre, wenn ich nicht Ihre Eltern angerufen und selbst hingefahren wäre.

Meine Frau wollte das ich Sie ins Krankenhaus fahre, dass ich Sie im Anschluss in die Klinik fahren soll. Ich bin Ihr nicht von der Seite gewichen. Habe Sie so oft es ging in der Klinik besucht, auch wenn das für mich hieß, dass ich dafür Schlaf einbüßen muss, es war mir egal, denn Sie war und ist es mir wert..!

Es sind nur Vermutungen die ich aufstellen kann, denn ich werde es vermutlich nie erfahren, was Sie wirklich denkt oder gedacht hat in diesem Moment, aber Sie hat sich ganz klar für mich entschieden, Ihren Mann. Der Sie bedingungslos liebt, der Loyal ist und versucht alles in seiner Macht stehende zu tun, dass es ein wir gibt, dass Sie die stärkenden Hände im Rücken hat um selber zu wachsen.

Viele Faktoren haben gegen uns gesprochen. Meine Familie, Freunde, Arbeitskollegen, aber ich nehme das nur zur Kenntnis, denn es ist mein Leben und meine Entscheidung wie ICH es leben möchte. Ich habe dieses Leben alleine begonnen, aber ich möchte dieses Leben mit dir, meiner Frau zusammen weiter leben.

Sie hat ab und zu Ihre Launen, aber das ist der Krankheit geschuldet. Ich habe mich damit sehr genau auseinander gesetzt und weiß worauf ich mich einlasse. Ich liebe meine Frau wie niemand anderen vor Ihre. "Ja das sagt man bei jeder neuen Frau in seinem Leben" <= Nein! Genau da ist der Unterschied. Andere sagen das bei jeder Frau, ich sage das nur bei meiner Frau! Weil es bei keiner anderen vorher so in mir gebrannt hat vor Leidenschaft und Liebe zu Ihr!

Unterm Strich, haben wir beide gesagt, wir versuchen es ein aller aller letztes Mal und geben uns beide auch die Mühe, jeder für sich, dass es jetzt endlich so bleibt. Ich möchte Sie später einmal Frau ***** nennen dürfen!

Ich habe Ihr schon einmal einen derartigen Text geschrieben, der aber Geheim ist, den nur Sie lesen kann, aber jetzt mache ich es hier, mein aller erster Text auf Tumblr.

Ich liebe dich mein Schatz, mehr als du es dir je erträumen oder vorstellen kannst.

keep seeing people who clearly think meaningful pro-palestine activism is harassing anyone online who is not constantly saying the exact words they want to see. like tell me why people are harassing adam conover for "ignoring what's going on" and when he posted a video about how he literally made an entire podcast episode about it. they go "ummm but why haven't you said #FreePalestine yet :/" and getting mad he said he isn't posting clips because it's too nuanced a topic to reduce to a single snippet. which besides all that. it's one of the biggest issues in the news right now i do not think you need adam conover to be posting the same links and information that are being posted everywhere on leftist social media? he is a singular guy whose social media presence is very focused on (American) labor struggles atm. why are y'all like this

Let's talk about the C&H optic plates, specifically the 509t plate.

One of the only downsides of owning a M&P M2.0 Compact and a Holosun 509t is that there are not many options for an optic plate. In Facebook groups it seems like everyone suggests the C&H plate but there's a few that say their 509t plate is trash.

However I know three people personally who are running the C&H 509t plate with zero issues. So being faced with very few options I had my friend ans local gun store owner order one. In the mean time I mounted my 509t using the factory Holosun RMR adapter plate and the Smith & Wesson factory plastic type 1 ate provided with the M&P M2.0 Compact Optic Ready. While this worked it seemed very tall and I felt that the stacking of two plates wasn't a good long term move. I also didn't like the fact I had a plastic plate holding my $400 optic onto my pistol.

However I had zero issues doing dry fire practice with said setup while waiting for my C&H plate. It seemed pretty sturdy but I couldn't wait for my actual plate to come in.

When my friend said that my C&H plate came in I was at home. I immediately snagged my pistol and headed down there and I was pretty dang excited. The C&H 509t plate seemed to be everything I was hoping for. It was lightweight, small, and then mounted it seemed to hold the 509t more sturdy.

Some people complain about QC issues with C&H. However mine looked and was installed without issues. The C&H plates brought the red dot down around 1/8". The pistol was also lighter. The Holosun RMR adapter plate plus the S&W plastic rmr type 1 plate had it sitting super high and that rmr adapter was super heavy.

The C&H 509t M&P M2.0 plate is 0.095" to 0.099" thick and made frome 6061 Aluminum with the mounting screws being Stainless Steel. The plates are milled/cut on a cnc machine which makes the tolerances tighter. After milled/cut the plate is Type 3 Hard Anodized in black to protect against corrosion. I am however not sure of how much one of these plates weigh.

I for sure like that the 509t now sits lower on the slide. Before the plate I could not even see the front sight. Now with the C&H 509t I can almost use the factory suppressor hight sights through 509t window. While being a more expensive optic plate at $72 plus tax I feel it was definitely worth it. My 509t optic sits lower and is more sturdily mounted. Overall, win win.

If you look at the pictures I posted you can see the differences in the two mounting options. The picture with the packaging is obviously with the C&H plate. The other is with the Holosun RMR adapter plate ontop of the S&W factory RMR Type 1 plastic plate. You can. See the hight and quality differences.

If you are in need of an optic plate I'd definitely look at Brownells. They have optic plates for lots of optics and guns. However they didn't have one for my setup unfortunately. However the people at Brownells did suggest/recommend C&H when I initially asked about them versus another company's 509t plate. So even if you can't buy something from Brownells they're still there to help.

Top five lipsticks

Anything by Besame; it's by far my favorite brand and I could make an entire ranking of their lipsticks alone. I think Red Velvet is the one I use most often, followed closely by Red Hot Red, Chocolate Kiss, What a Peach, and Sleeping Beauty Pink (the last two are both discontinued).

Indian Rose by Tom Ford, a fabulous warm pink that is (tragically!) worth every penny of its price tag.

Givenchy Le Rouge in Framboise Velours, specifically the satin matte kind.

Armani Lip Maestro, which I rarely use but I adore the silky satin liquid formula.

Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint, which feels alarmingly thin and liquidy when you first put it on, but dries down beautifully lightweight with incredible color payoff.
