Evening, Evening!!

Just passing by to drop a sketch I did this afternoon, while I was squeezing my brain in an intense Brainstorming Session for Luscinia. and Ardyn (these two have taken complete hold of my brain. Like. SERIOUSLY. I need to move my ass and write their whole thing, because I am in serious lack of material for myself to read fml).

I mentioned yesterday the whole Masquerade theme (my beloved) and as always, if you know me, I couldn't help and pass the chance to doodle Luscinia in a new dress! So here you have a very doodly doodle of her (I was too tired to do a full-on cleaned-up version, so a doodle will have to do).

I have to be honest, I always love working on my ocs' garments and coming up with their vibes, something that would make them immediately recognizable (which was the main reason why, for the longest time, I drew Dorothea with her iconic golden-white-burgundy palette. it wasn't me not wanting to explore with other colours, but mostly me solidifying her character first and then expanding around), and with Luscinia wouldn't be any different.

I have a precise idea in mind of how she would appear, and her clothing reflect that: elegant yet cheeky, clean lines in the silhouette but details in the fabric and some such, so, while roaming around with ideas and music to help me on the side, I decided to go down the "Roaring 20s" Inspirational Road for her. It was the one that made the most sense to me in correlation to her character and personality (and also blame the songs I was listening to, they truly guided me there lolol).

Even the colours I use for her main garments, that deep low saturated blue, has a precise meaning: Luscinia belongs to the Lucian Royal Line through her father King Regis, yet she doesn't truly fits completely because she was a bastard born out of wedlock (I need to upload her bio soon enough lol). For this reason, she DOES adhere to protocol and wears dark colours, as it is costume in Lucis, but she avoids the pure black that Noct and Regis wear because she feels it doesn't truly belong to her.

So, there you have it! :D

Now, I have to go back to artwork some more fluff and smluff for Ardyn and Luscinia. The brainrot is truly taking over my ability to obsess over anything else, but honestly? I am so happy. I am truly happy again. <3

Luscinia is described by many people to be a kind and fair person to everyone she meets, welcoming others into her social party and ensuring that they’re comfortable. She’s relatively patient with others, and is heavily known to be attentive to a person’s well being and willingness to understand differing opinions. She is one who prefers to talk and think first before deciding to fight, if it is possible to even let out a word as she wishes for a peaceful outcome than one filled with regret. Around close friends, she enjoys messing around, telling humorous words, and sometimes playful flirting (if the friend is comfortable, of course).

However, despite how kind and forgiving she can be, Luscinia can be brutal and pensive without a taste of mercy should the situation call for it. This has caused many admirers of hers to call her the “Rose Angel”, a combination of a pun with her surname and many achievements on the field (excluding the fact she also got the nickname because of her “heavenly beauty”). This is especially true when she is helping a person with their request, such as clearing out Fatui encampment, Hilichurls, or occasionally the Abyss Order. After all, her experience in Teyvat have taught her harshly to act without hesitation when it comes to these situations, even if she wishes otherwise.

To many people, Luscinia is a pillar of confidence and strength who inspires others with her humble gallantry and loyalty. She enjoys helping others whenever she can, whether it be offering counsel or her blade, without the need for praise. While an honest soul at her core, Luscinia had learned and developed skills on lying as past experiences had taught her in some situations, it is better to deceive with a lie than to shatter something with a truth. Another thing to note is that despite how confident the woman is, she is easily flustered by the sincerity of a friend’s affections and words due to not having such luxury “in a very long time”.

"Luscinia Rose" isn't exactly her real name due to changing it prior to arriving in Mondstadt. While many people agree that she hailed from Inazuma, no one seems to agree on whether her actual name is of significance or not. Furthermore, no one has ever heard of the story that had inspired her to take on this name, leaving the choice a mystery.

She often speaks of a partner she loved so dearly that she decided to travel with him to his homeland after finishing her conflicts at home. However, said partner is yet to be seen or even be known thus sparking a rumor that they are the Darknight Hero. Luscinia, however, has repeatedly deny this and has said that the Darknight Hero doesn't bear any resemblance to her partner so their identity is still unknown.

Luscinia has been offered many invitations to join the Knights of Favonius, but has turned every one down for the reason of wanting to remain as just an associate of theirs and nothing else.

The forest was quiet.

Covered in a soft layer of snow, its delicate flakes gently waltzing down from the skies. Sitting by the fire place, the nightingale and his winged friend huddled close, watching the flames dance in warm orange hues.

On this day, Enara hadn't tried to rip his white wings out in desperation.

On this day, the winged human gently outstretched their snowy white wings, draping it lazily around their beloved. It was comforting, it was soft.

The nightingale rested their head on Enara's lap. Singing a soft lullaby, own his own accord, Luscinia slowly trailed into a sleepy hum, eventually slipping his eyes closed.

Pulling a blanket over the sleeping nightingale, Enara smiled, pulling Luscinia close. With tender touches, they cradled the bird. They were safe. There was peace.

It was heaven on Earth.

aaaaand she is finally here, the latest addition to my enormous array of OCs, my latest bebe among the ranks of my Final Fantasy beloved original Blorbos.

Let me tell you, I am *extremely* happy with her general design, how I managed to incorporate several small details that connect her to both her family of origin and the one she is supposed to marry into (emphasis on "supposed to"), like her colors and the style of her garments, along with the role that she plays within the military of Lucis.

My most favourite detail is probably her singular breastplate, both a callback to the how the Amazons used to charge into battle -with one breast bared- and because it also functions as a guard for her own heart -and her own feelings (yes, we are going to have another spitfire, emotionally constipated but tremendously sweet cinnamon roll here).

A HUGE thanks to Giulietta, my darling sister from another mister, that suggested to me the idea of giving her a detail that I myself have: that white streak among her hair.
