a league of their own is fucking beautiful and i'm so glad i waited to watch it when i could enjoy it completely because holy shit. just. jesus. getting to watch primarily queer women, but also so many other queer people find happiness in a time when they weren't even allowed to exist is fucking incredible. its heartbreakingly beautiful. watching these queer people find a place they finally belong in, but not belonging immediately, instead finding their place within that community and realising they don't need to fit into a category or be like everyone else. and watching it unfold in all the separate ways, but primarily these two incredibly different queer spaces, an underground queer bar, and a house transformed into a safe space. just all of it is done so well and its so visceral, you can feel everything the characters are feeling. and idk i just, its really fucking beautiful to see.

Thank you to everyone still tagging me in stuff during my hiatus! (´｡• ᵕ •｡`) ♡
I've still been doing not so top-notch; body being wack and feeling absolutely braindead most days lmao, though I've taken a hard break from art, and got a few WIPs from before i stopped :3c But despite how I should be resting as much as I can, I've seemed to come down with the writing bug after years, lmao :P So what's a guy to do?

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand a bigger snippet of a short gtaiv piece I wrote
"It's been difficult, you know?" Niko murmured, approaching Ilyena, each breath exhaling a ghostly mist into the biting October air.
"Yes. Very difficult," Ilyena replied through a heavy sigh.
Feeling the weight of unspoken guilt bearing down on him, Niko averted his gaze, desperately searching for solace before offering his condolences. "I was sorry to hear about your husband," he said. A futile attempt at offering comfort through an embrace dissipated before it began; his head hung low, weighed down by unspoken thoughts.
A strangled laugh escaped Ilyena's lips, slicing through the chilled air like a dagger, "Were you?" Her voice quivering with bitter disdain, looking down and exhaling deeply before continuing, "Maybe… Unlike that treacherous rat, Dimitri." Anguish spilled through her, each syllable poisoned with sorrow, turning away from Niko, her hand shielding her face from view.
"He and I are not friends." Niko retorted with icy detachment.
Ilyena pivoted back towards Niko, her glassy eyes reflecting the streetlamp's mournful glow before her gaze found his again– eyes glistening with unshed tears. "My husband was not perfect." she confessed through an exhausted shrug. "Far from it, he was awful. A murdering, drug addicted bully." Her voice wavered, cracking under the weight of her emotions. "In many ways, the world is better off without him––but now I am alone." She shuddered before him, defeated and vulnerable, posture hanging down in defeat.
Awkwardness wrapped itself tightly around Niko's throat like a noose, standing detached––an observer in this storm of misery––struggling to discern any healing words amidst his murky sea of guilt. Wetting his cracking lips, he mustered only the simplest consolation: "I'm sorry about that."
Rubbing his clutched hands for warmth against lips chapped by apathy, the chilly air gnawing at his guilt. Niko's attention returned to Ilyena, as she continued to bear her grievances - an unfathomable abyss of loss. "And my daughter grows up without a father…" she laments, "she's learning a bitter lesson very early."
Niko's brow furrowed in helpless anguish; like banshees, the echoes of Ilyena's grievances stirred Niko's tormented conscience; like a merciless tidal wave, salt-stung lacerating thoughts of his own daughter–– Ljubica––surfaced. The realization materializes: how little he had been present in her life—how even now he was squandering opportunities. He was consumed by the stark realization that he'd dedicated more time to spilling blood in America than nurturing the love within his family.
"Yes, it's bad," Niko conceded quickly, swallowing the lump in his throat that threatened to suffocate him, eyes locked forward, unwavering upon the cold horizon; anchored to some distant spectre. Mind swimming with his past and present failures.
"And now the money is gone, the house got repossessed, and we are living in a one-room apartment." Ilyena vented with nervous haste, her voice tinged with rising frustration. Clutching her chest as if to anchor herself, "The land of opportunity!?" She scoffs, a burst of exasperation, her arms splayed wide like the wings of a disillusioned bird taking flight. "I'd rather be back in Russia! At least there, people don't pretend life has any pleasure." She snarls, defeated.
A suffocating, oppressive silence ensnared them, akin to a funereal shroud of fog, marooned on the desolate boardwalk's stillness. Time seemed to crawl at a glacial pace until Niko finally shattered the torturous void in which they were entombed.

After using Chatot in the fan game I'm playing, I kinda want it to have an evolution. Kinda. Cause while I would love for Chatot to have more defense and the general power that comes from evolving, Chatot has always been a little guy. A little fella. Unless they can pull a dundunsparce and still keep the "little guy" aspect of Chatot, then I'm perfectly fine with it not getting an evolution.
Chatot is my loud funky bird that kills legendaries ( I am not joking on that).

for talking about two,,,, do you think the whole thing with her hating math left her feeling really isolated for most her life like she never really met anyone who agreed or validated that until gaty
yeah absolutely. I'd assume math is the most important thing in algebralien society. I talked about it early the topic of math really really seems to bother two in a way that's more than just "oh math is hard"
in the 2 million short (shorts aren't canon but the dynamics still are) shes never seen interacting with the other algebraliens and only seemed to be talking with fourteen because he was in that cell. I dont think her relationship with the others is the best but I don't think it's like they purposely want to isolate her.

now not to speculate but I can't help but think this was about four?? Who else would be so strict on math other than guy who literally forced his eliminated contestants to do math for years.
this certainly isn't helping fours case.. especially with the exit b plot lol
anyways back to what this ask was about two is so sad girl to me, all she wants is love and im glad she was able to find a friend through all this. I dont think two is a competent host and isn't ready for it. they should be out baking and making art and hanging out with friends. but yet they're hosting a show that they took most likely out of some grudge against four. Gaty is a very kind character she is so understanding towards two and she trusts them so so much. They love each other and will always be best friends

thinking about how Jess knew about Carson and Greta since night 1 but she just quietly kept it to herself. watching Carson storm into their room, rambling on about rashes or library trips and just going with it. not telling Lupe even though she knew it was the gossip of the century and Lupe would lose her mind, because she respected their privacy and didn't want to out Carson. I imagine Jess knew where Greta and Carson snuck away to make out and played look out without ever being asked, steering the other girls away if they got to close. I don't think Carson and Jess were particularly close, at least before episode 6, but Jess was always looking out for her from afar.

CALEB BUDDE | SOUL SEER
The first member of the Power Pills. He's shy, awkward, and is somehow the unofficial leader of the Power Pills. Mostly everyone looks to him to make the final call on stuff because he's been around the longest.
GUY FOUST
Caleb's roommate and best friend. Went with Caleb during his first superhero mission and got physically shot while there.
KATE DHANANI
A friend of Guy's who eventually became a friend of Caleb's. She's the martial arts trainer for the Power Pills.
AVERY RODRIGUEZ
The first supervillain created by Future Tech. He's 16 years old and was given to Future Tech as an experiment by his parents in exchange for promotions.
TRAVIS BIRMAN
Guy's childhood friend and Merri's boyfriend. He's just the only friend character who doesn't know that his friend is a superhero.
TEAM WAX GUISE
DAN WIRSCH | WAX GUISE
The second member of the Power Pills. He's the literal embodiment of a theater kid. Despite his energetic and carefree attitude, he's one of the smartest members of the team.
JASON KENDI
Jason is Dan's roommate and the go-to costume designer for the Power Pills. He's a MASSIVE nerd and loves doing closet cosplay. He seems to have some kind of connection to Lightbringer.
LUCY CIPHER
The manager (and drum player) of Dan's band. She matches him in energy and personality.
NICO HYLAND
Lucy's fiancee and the keyboardist for Dan's band. He's the type to sit back and listen to Lucy's energetic ramblings for hours.
MAX ARMIJO
Dan's second roommate and lead guitarist for Dan's band. He's a more successful actor than Dan and does his best to help Dan get roles.
TEAM BULLETPROOF
MERRI BODKIN | BULLETPROOF
The third member of the Power Pills. She's a sweet-hearted individual with boundless optimism. She's the heart of the group. However a lot of her personality DOES come from the fact that she's a Catholic and her suppressed frustration tends to come out when she's fighting as Bulletproof in the form of a SUPER brutal fighting style.
AMBER LUPE
One of Merri's best friends. She is just as kind and sweet as Merri, but much less energetic.
PERCY VAN STONE
Merri's foil. She is energetic, she is bold, she loves everything Merri hates.
TEAM QUICKWIT
KRISTY EDA | QUICKWIT
The fourth member of the Power Pills and the resident "basically normal guy but with a bow" of the team. She's an independent artist trying to make it in the art world.
GEMMA VOSS
The sculptor to Kristy's painter. She has almost no shame and has no problems both speaking and acting her mind.
JAKE WESTLAKE
Probably also an artist of some kind but we haven't seen them do any sort of art so I'm not sure. They're relentlessly supportive of their friends.
TEAM STREAMLINE
Hahaaaa oh god sorry, Tate.
TATE PALMER | STREAMLINE
Tate is the fifth member of the Power Pills as well as the most energetic. She's a massive cosplayer and makes her living selling her work online.

SIBYL DEMIR | THE WEB
Sibyl is the sixth and newest member of the Power Pills. He's the resident scientist, studying biology. He's been through a lot, but once he settles into a network of supporting friends, he reveals that he is a a snarky, strong-willed man.
SEBASTIAN CROWL
A superpowered cult member who saved Sibyl and Caleb's lives when they were captured. He sacrificed himself to help the two of them escape. His status is unknown though he reassured Sibyl that the cult wouldn't kill him.
BENNY O'KEEFE
Benny is Sibyl's biology teacher and is the person who helped Sibyl through the darkest moment of his life.
VINNY RAMONE
Not seen onscreen, but he's Sibyl's ex.
JENNA BEGER
Sibyl's childhood friend who tried to trade away his life in order to join The Cult of Lacrima. Her status is also unknown.
TEAM ███████
MATT NOTTON
The recipient of the Pink Pill who needs to be put on a GODDAMN LEASH. The only pill candidate who decided to use their powers for selfish reasons.
DAMIEN BRIDGES
A man that Matt kidnapped in an attempt to learn how to control his powers. He's... god he's still there.
DALTON RENTFRO
Matt's teammate and a MASSIVE Matt hater.

The person who gives out the pills to the candidates. He's stoic but generally friendly.

Only called "Scarecrow Lady" in comic so far, this is the woman who broke into Merri's dressing room in book 3 trying to kidnap her. Caleb erased her memory of their identities but she hinted that she had something "Way better" than her memories.
LONDON KURTZ
A mean girl who peeked in high school. She is obsessed with status.
PHYLLIS WORRALL
One of London's obligatory lackeys. The other of which, Lilith, apparently left London very recently for unknown reasons and has not been seen onscreen.
KRAVEN GREEVES
The owner of the martial arts dojo that the Power Pills train at. He knows what's going on with the superheroes, but he knows it's not his place to say anything.

Hello everyone and happy Friday! Welcome back to AMP up your Week!
With the second week of the new year finishing up, I hope everyone's schedules aren't too thrown off. I had to cancel my training with my team yesterday....I got a migraine and it knocked me on my bum. Oh, but my friend Circe dropped off some food for me! Ah! But I guess now I'm just sort of rambling....

I saw people asking about Ms. Kali. My dad was on the New Star expedition with her big brother and my Aunt Kanna was with Ms. Kali....
Let's just say that Mr. Dion is definitely the lesser of two evils....but I was told to be careful of their family. I...sort of see it from her nieces. They're going to be on my expedition....and they're....a lot.
Ohhh I hope they don't hear this...!
